The April 2026 Box
As a long-time beauty enthusiast and subscription box reviewer, I've tried just about every make-up box out there. Medusa’s Make-Up, though, has steadily carved out a special spot in my rotation. When I first got the chance to review one of their boxes, I was curious, and now, several months (and many fun looks) later, I’m fully hooked. Each delivery brings something bold, cruelty-free, and totally unique. So, what’s inside April's box? Let’s dive in and see what this month has to offer!
Wrapped in a beautiful pink foil mailer, it was love at first sight! I was so excited to find this in my mailbox—I actually jumped for joy. This month, my products arrived safely, all secured in bubblewrap plastic. Everything was securely packaged and arrived in perfect condition.
Now, let’s dig in and see what I received!
Kicking things off, we have the info card, which lists everything included in the box along with the retail values. I’m really loving this month’s design! The front is absolutely adorable, featuring a charming butterfly and hand illustration, while the back provides a helpful breakdown of each item and its value.
Let’s take a closer look, shall we?
Baked Eyeshadow - Wild One - Retail Value $14.00
This month, the first item I received was a large pan of baked eyeshadow in the shade “Wild One.” In the pan, it appears as a grayish-purple, but it applies as a soft lavender with subtle pink tones. With a slightly metallic finish, it’s not an everyday shade for me, but it does add a nice pop of color to a neutral look.
I applied it without primer here, but found that the color payoff is stronger when used over a base. I also appreciated that it lasted all day without creasing. Overall, it’s a fun, unique addition to my makeup collection.
Totally Baked Eyeshadow - Stoked - Listed Value $12.00
The next item I received was a pan of “Totally Baked” eyeshadow in the shade “Stoked.” This shadow is a deep charcoal with strong pigmentation—just one quick swipe created a bold, dark streak.
I applied a small amount to the crease and found it to be a great addition to a smoky eye. I really liked the slight metallic sheen, and it blended well with an eyeshadow brush.
Mystical Eye Dust - Chrysoar – Listed Value $14.00
I’ll be honest—I was a little disappointed when I opened this bag and discovered three eyeshadows. While I do love them, I tend to prefer a bit more variety, and this month felt a little limited in that regard.
That said, I absolutely LOVE this Mystical Eye Dust. With its beautiful bronze shade and shimmery finish, it’s something I could easily see myself using every day. While loose eye dust can be a bit trickier for me to work with than pressed pans, I applied it with a brush and really loved the results.
Forevermore - Sugar Rush - Listed Value $16.00
The next item I received was the Forevermore lipstick. The shade was quite similar to one I’ve received before, and it had a strong cinnamon scent. While it’s very pigmented with a thicker formula, it wasn’t my favorite lipstick—though I did like the color itself.
The initial color wore off fairly quickly but left a noticeable stain behind, which I wasn’t a fan of. Overall, it was an okay inclusion, but I would have preferred a gloss instead. That said, the shade will pair really nicely with a new summer dress I recently picked up!
Tinted Lip Balm - Takeout - Listed Value $14.00
The last item I received was one of my favorites! As I mentioned earlier, I really appreciate a good lip balm, and this one has a beautiful tint that leaves my lips soft with a subtle shimmer.
It was a great inclusion and a perfect way to round out the box—I know I’ll be reaching for this product every day.

It’s the last day of school before break, and I tried out all of my Medusa’s Makeup products with my fancy jean jacket! I absolutely love my new lip balm and eyeshadows—they’re the perfect finishing touch!
The Verdict
This month’s curation from Medusa’s Makeup was an okay mix. While it was a bit heavy on eyeshadows, I loved that all of the products were Medusa-branded. My favorite was definitely the lip balm, though I also enjoyed experimenting with the eyeshadows.

To Wrap Up:
Can you still get this box if you sign up today? You'll likely receive the May box. Some past boxes are also available for a one-time purchase here.
Value Breakdown: I estimate I received $70.00 worth of items this month with these five items. This is more than double the cost of the box! That's a good value for $25.95.
