Silk + Sonder is a monthly planner subscription that makes planning, reflecting, and achieving easy and fun by delivering a new pen-to-paper experience every month. Each planner features new layouts that are "inspired by positive psychology, bullet journaling, and self-help books." For an annual plan, the cost is $19.95/month. There are also quarterly and monthly plans available.

Silk + Sonder April 2026

April is coming up fast, and honestly, I have no idea where March went. I swear it was February just a blink ago, and here we are, already approaching our MCA tests. The State Basketball Tournament is this coming weekend, and baseball has started, so our schedule has been insane.

As always, though, this month’s Silk + Sonder planner has truly helped me stay on track. With everything we have going on—school, work, and sports—I’d lose my mind without it. This beautiful pastel pink journal isn’t just gorgeous to look at; it’s also a bright spot in my day. It gives me a moment to sit, relax, and reflect on both my schedule and myself, keeping me organized and grounded. Honestly, I don’t know how I’d manage all the chaos without it.

Awareness: the conscious knowledge and understanding of oneself—our thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and the world around us—enabling growth, intentional living, and deeper connection.

I love that Silk + Sonder chooses a unique theme each month, and I truly appreciate how thoughtfully Meha, the creator, curates each one. April’s theme is Awareness, and honestly, I needed it more than I realized.

Spring is here, and I’ve become very aware of the changing seasons. The weather feels different, the air smells different, the birds are chirping, and I’ve even spotted a few geese flying overhead. I’ve been trying to be more intentional lately, and I think that starts with awareness. With our busy schedule, it’s easy to forget to slow down, notice what’s happening around us, and truly check in on how others are doing.

My goal for April is to take this more seriously and really lean into the theme—focusing on growing as a mom, wife, and friend.

One of my favorite things about Silk + Sonder is getting a fresh planner each month. That little reset feels so refreshing—year-long planners always end up overwhelming me. This one does include a year-at-a-glance page, but the boxes are tiny, so I mainly use it to look ahead at future dates. At the start of each month, I fill in the calendar with upcoming events, and before I know it, the days are flying by.

Honestly, I think this is the first month where I’ve only had one thing written down when starting my calendar. But to be fair, I just returned from a four-day conference out of town and am headed to the Cities for a mini vacation with my family for the State Basketball Tournament, so April hasn’t really been on my mind. April is when baseball starts, and we’ve only been receiving the schedule the Sunday before, so I don’t have anything to write in yet—though the days will definitely fill up. I’m also done with volleyball, so my schedule has lightened up. The weekends are pretty free too, which is amazing—I can’t wait to see what we fill them up with!

Staying organized plays a huge role in managing my anxiety, so having a quick-reference calendar right at the front of my planner is a lifesaver. It helps me stay grounded and calm when life gets hectic—especially on days when taking things one day at a time just isn’t quite enough.

On page 6, we turn to the “Future Log,” which includes two small calendars for the upcoming months. There’s just enough space to jot down quick notes—and honestly, I’m so focused on the now that I don’t even want to think about May or June… though I am thrilled to see summer vacation coming up fast!

On the opposite page, there’s a “Wheel of Life” activity. It includes space to rank ten areas of your life from 1–10 based on how fulfilled you feel, along with room to write one way you can improve any (or all) of those areas. It’s a really fun exercise, and it’s amazing how much these areas can shift from day to day.

I really appreciate this feature and find it helpful for being more intentional and maintaining awareness—especially when it comes to my personal growth, health, and relationships with family and friends.

Page 8 offers space to reflect on the previous month, with sections to capture your wins, challenges, and favorite moments. It’s such a helpful way to pause and evaluate what’s working—and what isn’t. This is one of my favorite pages because it reminds me to acknowledge the small accomplishments that might otherwise go unnoticed. There’s also a section to jot down what you want to start, stop, and continue moving forward.

March was pretty busy, even though sports didn’t consume it as much as in previous months. We did get to watch our varsity boys play at the state tournament, which was a definite highlight, but they didn’t make it as far as they had hoped. It was also Charlie’s birthday, and I was able to attend the MIEA conference. March did come with some illness challenges and a few winter storms, but all in all, it was a great month.

Reflecting on these moments helps ground me. Even when things feel hard, life is still full of goodness—and I love that this page encourages me to hold onto that.

Next up is the Monthly Intentions page. I love this section because it gives you space to set meaningful goals and revisit them throughout the month. With six categories and boxes to fill in, there’s plenty of room to jot down your thoughts. It’s not necessarily a to-do list—it’s more about starting the month with intention and reminding yourself what you’d like to focus on. This month, my intentions are pretty simple which is exactly what I need. While the list is short for now, I’m sure I’ll add more as the month goes on. I’m excited to keep checking in and see how far I can go!

As I mentioned earlier, Silk + Sonder is so much more than just a planner—and the trackers on pages 10 and 11 are proof of that. These pages feature a mood tracker and a habit tracker, giving you space to log your daily moods and monitor your habits throughout the month. I find this feature especially helpful for spotting patterns, which is something that really supports me in managing my anxiety. What I love most is how customizable these trackers are—you can focus on exactly what matters to you, all wrapped up in such a beautiful design. Silk + Sonder usually ships about a week and a half before the new month begins, so while I’ve already created my “keys” for each tracker, I haven’t started filling them in just yet. I really do need to start back up on low carb and yoga though!!! Ekkkkk!!

Page 12 features another tracker—this one for sleep. I don’t usually have trouble in that department, so I tend to skip it. The opposite page, though, is one of my favorites. Page 13 introduces the Gratitude Jar, which offers plenty of space to jot down multiple things I’m grateful for. I like this format better than the daily versions because I can write more than just a few things—and even start early.

I highly recommend this practice, even if you don’t use this specific planner. Especially during tough times, it serves as a gentle reminder of all the good things in life.

This month’s theme is Awareness, and on page 14, there are prompts inviting us to reflect on how our understanding of awareness has shifted over time and how it currently supports our well-being. It also provides space to explore habits, relationships, emotions, and thoughts, encouraging you to consider where you feel most in tune and where you might be on autopilot.

I didn’t write a whole lot down for this section because I like to “chew on it” during the first part of the month. That said, I do feel aware of what’s happening around me. I like to keep my circle small and focus on positive things. I’m generally a positive person, but I know that sneaky negativity can creep in if I’m not careful, so I try to stay grounded in gratitude for every minute I’m given.

We were also given a “Soundtrack of Awareness” prompt, which connects music with our personal sense of awareness. It’s a neat activity, but I’m terrible at remembering song titles, so I’ll need more time to think about that one!

Taking the time to reflect on this was incredibly helpful. It encouraged me to be more aware of myself, others, and what I’m consuming in terms of positivity and negativity. It’s also helped me shift away from autopilot and become more intentional in how I approach things. I love these activities!

The next page introduces something new called the “Awareness Reset.” This activity invites you to pause and be still. It asks you to take a few deep breaths, close your eyes, and slowly bring your attention to your surroundings. Then, you write down five things you can see, four things you can feel, three things you can hear, two things you can smell, and one thing you can taste.

This is an activity I’ve come across in a lot of mental health training, and I love it. It’s a great way to reset and can be done anytime you’re feeling escalated, stressed, anxious, or just plain worn out—it truly helps.

On the opposite page, there’s a beautiful poem by May Sarton titled “Now I Become Myself.” It’s gorgeous in its wording, deeply true, and a perfect complement to the Awareness theme for April.

The next page features a cute umbrella coloring page that I actually had a little time to work on. While it has a lot of detail, I found my markers were much too large for the smaller areas, so I opted for bigger blocks of color instead. It felt good to add some color to the page, and it lifted my mood within just a few minutes—which was great!

On the opposite page, there’s an “Awareness Time Capsule.” This space includes six different questions about various aspects of your current state of awareness. I’ve only started filling it out because it encourages you to dig pretty deep, and I want to be intentional with my answers.

I really appreciate how thoughtfully this journal includes so many different activities to help you become the best version of yourself.

Every Silk + Sonder journal includes a recipe, and this month’s dish calls for ingredients I don’t have on hand—which is usually the case with these recipes! This month’s recipe is Everything Spring Green Salad with Basil Lemon Vinaigrette, and while I love the idea, I’m missing almost every ingredient right now. If you happen to try it, please let me know how it turns out! If it’s as good as it sounds, I might just give it a try.

On the opposite page is an “Awareness Doodling” prompt. This activity invites you to simply doodle for 5–10 minutes at a time as a way to check in with yourself and pause. I love it!!

Blank sheets are always helpful and a great place to do some long division, write notes, and jot down addresses!

Each month, we get some kind of mind puzzle, and this time it’s a crossword with clues centered around awareness. Honestly, I’m not a big fan of these types of puzzles, but I might try to work on it throughout the month. I’d much rather see a jumble, maze, or word search!

We also received a riddle. This month’s was pretty easy, and I’m fairly confident I got it right—though I do have a tendency to overthink and second-guess answers that seem too simple.

On the opposite page, there’s an expense tracker. While it’s a great feature, I don’t personally use it since I track my expenses in a Google Doc instead. As always, this journal is designed to be used in whatever way works best for you!

I love that this journal always starts on a Monday, even if that means beginning in the previous month. This month, started on Monday, March 30th, so I got a jump start on the month! When it comes to the journal as a whole, I tend to spend most of my time on these calendar pages. With sections for meal plans, to-dos, habits and activities, shopping lists, and daily schedules, I write everything here. It keeps me on track each day and gives me that satisfying feeling of accomplishment—there’s truly nothing better than crossing an item off my list. I also appreciate the extra touches these pages include. While I don’t always fill out how I want to feel each week, this week I found it really helpful to write it down and pray over it. This journal is just so darn helpful!

Tidying up with one last quote, the dictionary definition of "sonder," and the back cover, that's all there is to it. I have come to find that a key part of my day is when I sit and fill out my planner with my cup of coffee. This quiet time happens before the kids are awake, and kicks my day off to a good start before I start my school day. It is extremely important for me to keep a consistent schedule for managing my anxiety and creating much more positive life, and this journal definitely is a big help in that.

The Verdict

I have to say, I really enjoyed April’s theme of Awareness because I needed the reminder to stay mindful of myself—how I react and what I allow into my circle—since it directly affects how I think and feel. Silk + Sonder has been an incredible source of support through both the good times and the challenging ones. It has truly become a necessity! Without this planner, I’d definitely feel lost (and so would my husband!). I continue to be impressed with this subscription and can’t wait to see what May has in store.

I typically set aside about 15–20 minutes a day for this journal, flipping from front to back as I reflect, add to, and process what I’ve previously written. By the end of the month, my mind feels much more organized and grounded. The beauty of this planner is remarkable, and its portable size means I can easily carry it in my purse. I’ve been so impressed with every aspect, and I’m really looking forward to continuing to learn more about myself—all while staying organized, enjoying a little daily quiet time, and prioritizing meaningful self-care.
