BREO BOX Plus Review Winter 2025
We’re just a few days away from the official start of winter, but the frigid temperatures have already settled into Minnesota! Our region even broke a cold record yesterday—and I have to admit, I’m not quite ready for it. To make things a little easier to handle, I received this quarter’s BREO Box! Filled with fun and interesting new gadgets, unboxing it kept me warm and cozy indoors. Keep reading to see what’s inside and why it feels like Christmas came early! 🎁❄️
Just like the previous season BREO boxes, the winter edition came packaged in two sturdy cardboard boxes and a handy cloth sack. Everything arrived safe and sound, and I couldn’t wait to dive in! Side note—these cardboard boxes are perfect for wrapping gifts, and the cloth bags have been a lifesaver for hauling home dirty laundry from trips and conferences. In fact, mine is already packed and ready to go! Yay for reusable packaging!
Kicking off this quarter’s box, we received a sturdy card with a QR code. Scanning it takes you straight to the BREO Box website, where you can check out all the included items! From detailed descriptions and retail values to photos and extra info, it’s the perfect way to learn about everything in the box and how to use it. Super handy!
Rubik's Connected Pro - Retail Value $49
The first spoiler we received was a Rubik’s Cube Pro. This puzzle connects for charging and pairs with an app that shows you how to solve it. It’s really neat how it syncs with your phone screen while you’re solving and provides clues as it teaches you step by step. You can choose your difficulty level and even challenge other players!
Puzzles like this aren’t really my forte—I tend to prefer word games and board games. I gave it a try and struggled quite a bit, but my 10-year-old has become obsessed! While this may not be a hit for everyone, it worked really well for our family and was an interesting addition to the box.
HOTO Wand Cordless Spin Scrubber - Retail Value $60.00
The second item I received was a cordless spin scrubber, and I was really excited about this one! Featuring multiple attachments, this rechargeable scrubber is waterproof and can clean just about anything. You can literally submerge it and clean underwater—it’s lightweight and surprisingly quiet. I’ve already used it in the bathroom with a mixture of vinegar and baking soda to tackle mineral buildup on my faucets, and it worked like a dream! This incredibly useful addition is helping me get my home in tip-top shape, and I absolutely love it.
Speaqua Pebble Pro Bluetooth Speaker - Retail Value $40.00
My oldest son just turned 13 and recently received his first cell phone. It’s definitely been an adjustment, but he’s been very responsible and has followed all the rules we have in place. One thing he really wanted was a speaker to pair with his phone while he plays mini hoop in his room.
This month, we received a Pebble Pro speaker. This compact speaker is easy to pair, has an impressive volume range, charges via USB-C, and features both a magnetic back and a carabiner hook, making it easy to place just about anywhere. It’s also drop-proof and lasts up to five hours on a single charge. I can personally attest to the drop-proof claim—I accidentally dropped it in the kitchen, and it didn’t miss a beat!
Hank was thrilled to receive this, especially since I didn’t buy him one for Christmas. Now he can jam out while he hoops!
Swanwick Anti-Blue Light Night Light - Retail Value $35.00
Nightlights are something we use often in our house, but this one is much fancier than the others we currently own. This time, we received a Swanwick anti–blue light night light. It plugs in and can be set to on, off, or auto. When set to auto, it’s motion-activated and casts an amber pathway designed to protect melatonin levels and help maintain a healthy sleep rhythm.
The brightness is adjustable, and it automatically shuts off within 60 seconds to save electricity. Since we have to go downstairs to use the bathroom, this is a great addition to our hallway to help the kids find their way safely without tripping. Another great inclusion—one I didn’t even know I needed!
HOTO Self-Locking Tape Measure - Retail Value $20.00
The last item I received was a self-locking tape measure. While I don’t use tape measures very often, I do hate how “explosive” they can be when they zip back in. That said, this smaller version fits nicely in both my purse and my junk drawer. Designed to measure up to 10 feet, the tape pulls out smoothly and stays put, making measuring much easier and far less frustrating.
Value – Was This Box Worth It?
Yes! This quarter’s BREO Box did a great job curating a collection with a wide variety of uses. I appreciated that every item was high quality and that there wasn’t a single “hero” item that overtook the overall value of the box. Instead, it was a thoughtful mix of work, fun, and functionality.
This quarter’s box retailed at over $200 and truly contained something for everyone in my family. The scrubber, speaker, and tape measure were my personal favorites, but the entire family loved the nightlight, and my youngest is still working on mastering his Rubik’s Cube. Discovering new items is always a thrill for me, and if being the first among your friends to discover cool, techy finds is your jam, I highly recommend this box! I’m already looking forward to the Spring BREO Box.
