First Impressions
Each month, Ipsy subscribers get a makeup bag in addition to their items. This month’s theme is "Work Your Magic," and honestly, it couldn’t be more fitting for the season. I’m always a fan of a good fall-inspired theme, and this one feels perfectly timed. The makeup bag itself is pretty cute; the deep plum color gives off cozy autumn vibes. That said, I could personally do without the slight puffer coat texture, but it definitely stands out if you’re an avid collector of Ipsy bags.
Included is a product card that features a list of the products and beauty tips.

SHAINA B MIAMI Gel Eyeliner in Ocean Drive, 0.25 g - Retail Value $20.00
There’s something instantly electric about this Gel Eyeliner from Shaina B Miami. This shade, "Ocean Drive," is a bold, ocean-blue shade that lives up to its name. While not a color I’d reach for every day, it’s the perfect pop for special occasions or playful makeup moments (Halloween included). The formula glides on effortlessly, no tugging or skipping, and the creamy gel texture makes it easy to build or smudge without losing that vibrant payoff. I have very sensitive eyes, so I was pretty surprised by how comfortable and non-irritating it felt wearing it throughout the day. For anyone who enjoys experimenting with colors beyond the usual staples of black and brown, this liner adds a touch of fun and artistry without sacrificing comfort.

REALHER Confident Glow Mini Lip Mask and Scrub Duo, 7.5 g - Estimated Value $10.38
Few things make me happier than a well-thought-out duo, and the RealHer Confident Glow Mini Lip Mask and Scrub Duo nails that balance beautifully. The sugar-based scrub gently buffs away any dryness without feeling too harsh or the least bit grainy, and I love how cleanly it rinses off; no oily residue, just soft, smooth lips. Following it up with the lip mask overnight feels like the ultimate self-care moment. It’s rich without being sticky, and I woke up to the kind of pillowy softness on my lips that I’m eternally after. I’ve tried products from this brand before, but this one stands out as my favorite by far. This duo is simple, effective, and actually makes sense as a multi-purpose product rather than a gimmick. A definite keeper and one I’ll be reaching for until it’s done.
ALL MORINGA Nourishing Face Mask, 20 ml - Estimated Value $23.60
While this Nourishing Face Mask from All Moringa might not win any awards for its scent, what it lacks there, it more than makes up for in performance. I’m not usually one for wash-off masks, yet this one has earned a spot in my skincare rotation thanks to how balanced it feels: detoxifying without completely drying my skin out. Formulated with moringa leaf powder and kaolin clay, it helps draw out impurities while still leaving my face soft and refreshed rather than tight and stripped. My favorite way to use it, though, is as a spot treatment. Just dab a little onto any emerging blemishes, let it dry, and it really does seem to help calm things down overnight, which really surprised me. Overall, it’s practical, effective, and gives that deep-clean feeling without the dreaded post-mask flakiness.
CHICA BEAUTY Multi Eyeshadow and Blush Palette in Chiquita, 6 g - Retail Value $15.00
The Chica Beauty Multi Eyeshadow and Blush Palette in Chiquita is such a fun, company little set that covers a lot of ground in one place. With five eyeshadows and a blush, it’s surprisingly versatile. Perfect for quick day-to-night looks without needing to pull out a dozen other products. The matte and shimmer shades blend beautifully, though I did notice the pigment on the non-glitter shadows runs a bit softer than I’d like. The glitter shades, while gorgeous, have a bit of fallout, so I’d definitely suggest using an eye primer first (especially if your lids get oily like mine). I actually find the colors apply best with my fingers for that extra pop of payoff. The bottom line: it’s a cute and practical palette for anyone who likes experimenting with both neutral and sparkle looks.

E.L.F. COSMETICS Power Grip Dewy Setting Spray, 80 ml - Retail Value $11.00
The E.L.F. Cosmetics Power Grip Dewy Setting Spray turned out to be such a pleasant surprise – and a bit of a nostalgic moment for me since I’ve been a fan of this brand since my early makeup days. What I love most is how well it locks everything in place without that stiff, over-set feeling. The finish gives just the right amount of glow – think healthy and fresh rather than glittery or greasy – and the ultra-fine mist feels cooling and refreshing, even on those bare-skin days. I also appreciate that there’s little to no fragrance, which is a huge win for my scent-sensitive skin. The travel-friendly size makes it easy to toss in an overnight bag for touch-ups throughout the day, and it’s impressive how well it keeps my makeup from sliding around, even through long work hours. A subtle, glow-boosting staple I can see myself actually finishing to the last drop.
The Verdict
This was a solid month for IPSY Original! It offered a well-balanced mix of fun color and solid skincare staples. The RealHer lip mask and scrub duo was the true standout for me. A simple, smart pairing that left my lips feeling smooth and nourished overnight. I also really liked the All Moringa face mask, which gave me that deep-clean, detox effect without drying out my skin, and doubled nicely as a spot treatment. The setting spray from E.L.F. Cosmetics proved to be a pleasant surprise as well, keeping my makeup in place all day while adding a healthy, non-glittery glow. Now, the gel eyeliner in Ocean Drive from Shaina B Miami offered up a bold pop of blue that’s fun for special occasions and gentle enough even for sensitive eyes like mine. Lastly, Chica Beauty’s eyeshadow and blush palette required a bit of primer and patience to get the best color payoff, it still delivered a nice range of looks in a company, easy-to-use format. Overall, this batch felt thoughtful, practical, and just adventurous enough to keep things interesting.
