First Impressions
The monthly Beauty Heroes delivery comes in a white box with a red-dotted sticker sealing it. Inside, our products of the month fit perfectly with the brown crinkle paper needed for it to arrive safely.
This month we're arguably sent two hero products, from Beauty Heroes veteran brand Ayuna. To refresh you, or in case this is your first Ayuna exposure, this brand is rooted in the philosophy of “less is beauty,” focusing on clean biotechnological actives and botanicals that support long-term skin health. Fermented ingredients rebalance the skin’s microbiome, while natural phyto-peptides encourage smoother, more resilient skin. Their formulas are silky, nourishing without overwhelming, and embody that rare mix of thoughtful, pared-down, and quietly luxurious.

AYUNA Nectar Lip & Eye, 15 ml - Retail Value $120
Ayuna’s Nectar Lip & Eye is a multitasking treatment that feels indulgent without being fussy. One pump delivers a silky veil that softens delicate skin, helping lips feel smooth and the eye area feel refreshed. The texture is light yet nourishing, settling in comfortably without residue. With plant-based oils and skin-supporting actives like biomimetic ceramides, jojoba esters, and peptides, it’s a simple way to add a touch of care to two of the most expressive areas of the face.
This product has a whisper of orange blossom scent to it, that I truthfully wasn't sure I loved at first. Even despite it, I reached for this nectar a good few times before trying the serum it came with, because it feels so good on my lips and face, and it seemed to serve a purpose that nothing else on my bathroom counter currently covers. I've come to really enjoy this step, and paired with the skin revival serum it came with, the scent really grew on me.
AYUNA Cellular Oil Skin Revival Serum, 30 ml - Retail Value $190
This Cellular Oil is a lush, feather-light serum-oil hybrid that aims to revive skin with a gentle boost. A few drops warmed between your fingers will glide over your face, leaving a soft, luminous veil. It’s built around olive-stem-cell extracts, blended with nourishing oils like sunflower and almond, to help fortify and comfort without heaviness. The scent is soft and herbal, not at all overpowering, and in fact nearly mystifyingly lovely. For me it feels good to use after lighter treatments to give my skin something to lean on—think balance, glow, and care with intention.
My procrastination with this serum comes down to the fact that it's oil-based, which can be tricky for someone with bangs. I know I yap about this every time an oil comes along, but it's an ongoing dilemma! Typically I'll save oil-based products for evening use for that reason, but the moment I smoothed this magical serum over my face I chided myself for not using it sooner, and I will no longer be saving it only for night. It's oil, yes, but it couldn't be more absorbent and nourishing, and my bangs are totally unaffected. If this is witchcraft, throw me in the cauldron.
Verdict
Our last Ayuna delivery from Beauty Heroes had friends and aunts asking how I get my skin to look so good, so I know I can trust this brand. I expect nothing less from this combo of products, which are glorious to use both separately and together. This box costs $58.95. Our two products add up to $310. This might be the best value I've seen from this subscription, but of course it's consistently a stellar value month after month.
