Self-care is a top priority for me, and nothing says relaxation quite like the glow of a candle. After a long day of school and football, I come home to rest (once all the house chores are done, of course). To mark the end of my busy day, I almost always light a candle. Nothing sets the mood quite like the soft flicker of a flame—and the clean-burning candle brands that Vellabox collaborates with are second to none when it comes to melting the day’s tension away.
Since many candles contain harmful ingredients, I’ve made the switch from cheap, mass-produced options to high-quality, premium candles that are free from all those nasty chemicals. This month’s candle is made with sustainable soy wax, premium fragrance oils, and 100% cotton wicks.
The scent I received for September is "Autumn Meadow," with notes of crushed leaves, eucalyptus, and moss. It’s a truly lovely blend of crisp outdoor air, spice, and earthy leaves. The scent throw is strong, filling the entire downstairs of my house when it’s lit.

Obviously, I love this subscription for the candle, but the surprise item is always an exciting bonus for me. This month, I received a roll-on fragrance featuring notes of salted pistachio, golden honey, and creamy vanilla. This deliciously scented oil literally smells like a caramel baked good. Normally, I don’t go for scents that make me smell like a pastry, but I seriously couldn’t get enough of this one. Perfect for rolling onto your pulse points, it offers calming, cozy vibes throughout the day with every whiff. I just can’t get enough of it!

Vellabox is a fabulous subscription and one I look forward to receiving each and every month. Since I burn candles almost every day, it’s important to me that they’re free of toxins and harmful ingredients. Vellabox does an excellent job of curating small brands that are not only safe to use but smell incredible too! This month’s Autumn Meadow scent was absolutely perfect for the changing seasons and included some of my very favorite scent notes. With the addition of the Spotify playlist and the amazing fragrance oil, my month felt complete. I already can’t wait to see what’s in store for October!
