Once upon a time I thought I couldn't wear big hoops because they were too loud, too shiny, and too big of a statement. Turns out I just hadn't found the right hoops, because loud, shiny, and statement are exactly the type of earrings I seek now, and anything less feels underwhelming! These ones are beaded with silver and white stripes, and I love that the light colors make them really visible against the shadowy parts of our hair.
I remember receiving this style in a different colorway last year (see here) and ultimately finding them too heavy. So I'm not sure the fate of this pair in my collection. But I'm going to give them a shot. They might not be a daily wear, but for special occasions with a shorter wear time, they might be just fine.
Casey Hexagon Post Beaded Earrings Jaipur — Retail Value $20
My bonus earrings this month are a pair of beaded studs. This colorway isn't available on the site anymore, but they're an orange-ish coral, a blush pink, and a deep purple-brown. The geometric colorblock situation is so fun!
I don't often go for studs because they don't make as much of a statement as I'm usually going for, but these ones are noticeable and add a burst of color by my face. So they make the cut for me! Super lightweight and really cute.
The Verdict
INK+ALLOY sent two pairs this month, and they represent different ends of the beaded earrings spectrum: a bold pair of huge hoops and a small, colorful, geometric duo. What's not to love? Time will tell if the hoops will stay with me, or if they'll feel too heavy, but the bonus studs this month are sure keepers.
