CatLadyBox Review “Cat Lady” August 2025

CatLadyBox is a monthly subscription box for cat ladies (or anyone who is crazy about cats)! The $35.99 per month CatLadyBox has 2-3 cat-themed items – wearables, items for the home, books, etc., while the $39.99 per month Crazy CatLadyBox contains everything from the CatLadyBox plus a few items just for cats.

This is a review of the Crazy CatLadyBox.

This box was sent to us at no cost for review. (Check out our editorial guidelines to learn more about how we review boxes.)

First Impressions

I absolutely adore kitty cats! In my 37 years, I have never known life without one, so when the opportunity to review the CatLadyBox arrived, I snapped it right up. The little gal that will be helping me test out this box is my 17 year old best friend named Miley Mae. She has been with me through thick and thin, and while elderly, is still as sassy as ever. Let's dig in, shall we?!

Although I love most animals, cats are where it's at for me! I only have one precious feline, but I absolutely adore this subscription. Seeing this purple and brown cardboard box with the kitty silhouette, is a highlight of my month. Packaged in black tissue paper held together by a sticker, it presents as a lovely gift that has the potential to hold anything from cat-themed jewelry, clothes, home decor, and more. If you subscribe to the Crazy CatLadyBox, you'll get a few treats for your furbaby, too.

Along with the items, this box also includes an info sheet, which usually features custom artwork on the reverse side. However, this month’s sheet was plain pink with just a black title. I’ll admit, I miss the artwork—it’s something I usually stick on my fridge for a pop of fun and color!

The Breakdown – What’s Inside This Crazy Cat Lady Box

The Royal Cat Tee - Listed Value $22.99

Although I usually enjoy dressing up when I go out, the moment I get home, it’s all about comfort (think fun t-shirts and cozy leggings). The Cat Lady Box has been a great source for refreshing my comfy wardrobe, and this time I received a super cute cartoon royal cat tee! Made from ultra-soft fabric, this cream-colored shirt features a sketch-style illustration of a cat wearing a crown. I’ll admit, I had to check the content card to figure out what exactly the cat was wearing—at first glance, I thought it was a mohawk! I ordered a unisex medium, and the fit is spot-on: true to size and incredibly comfortable. While the design is simple and not my all-time favorite from the box, I really love the color combo and how perfectly it pairs with black leggings. It makes for an excellent lounging or sleep shirt and is a subtle, fun way to show off my love for cats.

Kitty Trinket Dish - Listed Value $16.99

I love the "little things," so I was excited to see this glass trinket dish included in this month’s box. Shiny and cream-colored, with gold inner ears and whiskers, this adorable dish is perfect for holding small items like jewelry, keys, or treats. While I didn’t need it for home, I’ve added it to my back-to-school pile to use on my desk for holding Jolly Ranchers for the kiddos. Well-designed and high-quality, it’s a sweet and subtle way to show off my love for Miley, even while I’m at work!

Meow & Hiss Clips - Retail Value $9.99

The next item we received was a set of hair clips. Made from tortoiseshell-style plastic and embellished with rhinestones, this combo is usually right up my alley, but I just don’t wear this type of clip. The “Meow” and “Hiss” designs are cute, but not really something I’d personally enjoy wearing. I also noticed that one of the rhinestones was missing on the “Meow” clip. Since these weren’t quite my style, I added them to my back-to-school pile just in case a student has a hair emergency we need to fix!

Purr Palace Post Stationery Set - Retail Value $14.99

The next item we received was definitely my favorite. I’m all about handwritten letters, and I believe every gift we get should be acknowledged with a thank-you note. This set included 10 note cards, 10 envelopes, a notepad, and a sparkly pen. With a simple color palette and an adorable cat design, these are not only super sweet but also perfect for any occasion. The paper pad is great for lists and notes, and I’m absolutely obsessed with the pink glitter pen featuring cute kitty silhouettes. This was a super practical and adorable addition, and I wouldn’t mind if they sent kits like this more often!

Penelope Peacock Catnip Toy - Listed Value $5.99

As we all know, Miley is getting older and doesn’t enjoy toys as much as she did when she was a kitten. This blue peacock toy was super cute, but Miley wasn’t very impressed. I tossed it around for her a bit, but she just turned up her nose and walked away. So, I decided to pack it up for my mom and her younger, more playful kitty.

Starlight Fairy Wand Toy - Retail Value $5.99

The last item we received was another catnip toy, but this one was in the form of a wand. As I mentioned earlier, Miley isn’t too into playtime these days, but she did show a bit more interest in this toy than the peacock one, though still wasn't thrilled. My son Charlie had a lot more fun dragging this around than the cat did, so he decided to keep it for himself. 🤣

Oh how I love this pretty girl! While not as playful as she used to be, she sure is cute and snuggly!!

Value – Was This Box Worth It?

The Cost: $34.99 per month (with a 6-month plan)+ free US shipping. Month-to-month cost is $38.99.

Value Breakdown:

  • Shirt: $22.99
  • Trinket Dish: $16.99
  • Hair Clips: $9.99
  • Stationery: $14.99
  • Catnip Toy: $5.99
  • Wand Toy: $5.99

Everything in this box is bespoke to the subscription, so I have to go by listed values (though some of the products will be available for sale in the CatLadyBox shop!) The values add up to $76.94 this month, which is $15 more than last months box, and is valued at quite a bit more than the cost of the box! I love the variety of items and functionality, each and every item I received this month was loved and used!

Key Takeaways

Cats are my absolute favorite animal (especially when my dogs are being extra naughty), and I love adding fun cat-themed items to my everyday life, which is where CatLadyBox comes in! I’m always excited to receive this subscription box and can’t wait to see what kind of shirt I’ll get each month. This month’s "Royal" cat tee, trinket dish, and stationery set are items I can utilize on the daily! And while the toys don’t get "played" with, they will get passed on to a kitty (or boy) that will love them! If you love fun, cat-themed items and are looking for a monthly treat for yourself and your feline friend, this subscription is perfect for you! I can’t wait to see what September brings!
