Ipsy is a monthly beauty and makeup subscription box. For $14 per month, you get five full-sized or deluxe-sized products, plus a cute makeup bag.
This is one of our top recommendations if you are looking for a subscription box — the value and sample sizes are amazing. Just like Birchbox, Ipsy sends out many different variations of their bag each month — so my review is just one of the bag variations you might receive!
My Subscription Addiction pays for this subscription. (Check out our editorial guidelines to learn more about how we review boxes).
First Impressions
Each month, Ipsy subscribers get a makeup bag in addition to their items. This month’s theme, "Born to Bloom" is a fun nod to growth and self-care, which I appreciate. The makeup bag is pretty, with its deep blue jewel tone and linen-like quality. However, I was surprised to see that the gold-plated IPSY embellishment was attached upside-down. Regardless, I was super curious to see what products would be inside.
Included is a product card that features a list of the products and beauty tips.
Now, on to the items!
MANNA KADAR Hydration Happy Face Mist, 65 ml - Retail Value $12.00
A refreshing face mist is one of those little luxuries I will never tire of, and the Manna Kadar Hydration Happy Face Mist melds seamlessly with my routine. I’m always happy to see this brand pop up in a subscription box. The water-based formula, powered by aloe and sea minerals, delivers a lightweight hit of hydration to your skin without any residual greasiness. I’ve used it to both prep and set my makeup, and it gives my skin that soft, dewy glow. While I’m not usually a fan of floral scents, the fragrance here is pretty mild, and most importantly, it didn’t irritate my sensitive skin. It’s a multimasking mist that definitely earns its place in any skincare lineup. Also, it’s great for a midday refresh or a final touch before heaving out the door.
DIONIS Stargazer Lily Goat Milk Hand Cream, 28 g - Estimated Value $3.61
I’m pretty consistent when it comes to staying moisturized. Dry, cracked skin is something no one wants to deal with, and this Stargazer Lily Goat Milk Hand Cream from Dionis might just be the answer. The formula is rich and creamy, yet it somehow still feels lightweight, almost water-based, which I love since it doesn’t clog my pores or leave a greasy film behind. It also absorbs quickly (major win). I appreciate the travel-friendly tube; it’s now a staple for my overnight bag. While the scent isn’t for me, and it does linger a bit longer than I’d like, it’s not overwhelming. Scent aside, the formula is so good that it’s easy to overlook.
BENEFIT COSMETICS 24-Hour Brow Setter Clear Brow Gel With Lamination Effect, 2 ml - Estimated Value $7.71
Some products, despite their simplicity, can easily earn a permanent spot in my routine. Benefit Cosmetics' 24-Hour Brow Setter Clear Brow Gel has done just that. Even on my no-makeup days, this step is one I never skip. The formula gives my brows a beautifully defined, natural look by enhancing their shape without necessarily darkening them. What really sets it apart, though, is its hold: it keeps everything in place all day without making my brows feel crunchy or leaving behind those dreaded white flakes. The dual-sided applicator is another win; it makes brushing the gel through my brows effortless, giving that soft effect without the drama. Whether I’m going full glam or just brushing up for a fresh-faced day, this stuff truly delivers.
ELIZABETH MOTT Sure Thing! Vitamin C Eye Cream, 4 ml - Estimated Value $5.33
Vitamin C infused eye creams tend to be hit or miss for me, but the Elizabeth Mott Sure Thing! Vitamin C Eye Cream was a pleasant surprise from the very first use. The packaging is just as fun and polished as the rest of the brand’s line, and the formula itself hits the sweet spot between creamy and weightless. It melts in effortlessly, absorbs quickly, and feels totally fragrance-free (which my skin definitely appreciates). What really impressed me were the subtle color-correcting pigments that help brighten under-eyes instantly, paired with postbiotics and niacinamide to help reduce darkness over time. Even though Vitamin C can sometimes irritate my skin, this formula played nice and delivered a boost of brightness without any sting.
ELEMIS Pro-Collagen Green Fig Cleansing Balm, 20 g - Retail Value $18.00
Ending the day with the Pro-Collagen Green Fig Cleansing Balm from Elemis has become a little ritual I really look forward to. As someone with sensitive, clog-prone skin, I’m usually cautious around oil-based cleansers, but this balm has proven to be a solid exception. It melts away makeup effortlessly while still leaving my skin feeling soft and balanced, not tight or greasy. The fig scent is present but subtle. While I’d normally prefer a fragrance-free option, this one is mild enough not to bother me. It’s rich without being heavy and feels like it's nourishing my skin while it cleanses. Elemis rarely misses for me, and this balm is no different; it’s gentle, effective, and luxe in the best way.
The Verdict
This was a solid month for Ipsy Glam Bag! The Benefit Cosmetics clear brow gel was the standout for me. It’s rare to find a brow product that holds all day long without flaking or stiffness, and this one delivered a natural, polished look that I quite enjoy. I also really liked the Elizabeth Mott vitamin C eye cream, which managed to brighten and hydrate my under-eyes without triggering any irritation, thanks to its gentle formula and color-correcting tint. The Elemis cleansing balm added a luxe touch to my nighttime skincare routine, effortlessly removing makeup and grime from the day white leaving my skin feeling soft and balanced. I was thrilled to see a product from Manna Kadar; this face mist brings a refreshing boost during the day. It’s lightweight, aloe-based, and versatile enough to use before or after makeup. Lastly, the travel-sized Dionis goat milk hand cream… It absorbs quickly and delivers big on hydration. Overall, I thought this bag delivered a well-balanced mix of everyday staples and small luxuries, definitely aligning with the month’s theme.
