First Impressions
I absolutely adore kitty cats! In my 36 years, I have never known life without one, so when the opportunity to review the CatLadyBox arrived, I snapped it right up. The little gal that will be helping me test out this box is my 16 year old best friend named Miley Mae. She has been with me through thick and thin, and while elderly, is still as sassy as ever. Let's dig in, shall we?!
Although I love most animals, cats are where it's at for me! I only have one precious feline, but I absolutely adore this subscription. Seeing this brown cardboard box with the kitty silhouette, is a highlight of my month. Packaged in black tissue paper held together by a sticker, it presents as a lovely gift that has the potential to hold anything from cat-themed jewelry, clothes, home decor, and more. If you subscribe to the Crazy CatLadyBox, you'll get a few treats for your furbaby, too.
Along with the items, this box also includes an info sheet featuring custom artwork on the reverse side. This month's art, created by Gloria Plaza, showcases an ultra relaxing bath time scene featuring a gal and her pet pal. I love this inclusion—while it’s technically just a content card, the artwork is perfect for adding a pop of fun to your fridge or bulletin board!
The Breakdown – What’s Inside This Crazy Cat Lady Box
The MEOW Tee - Listed Value $22.99
Comfy tees are totally my vibe, and this month’s “MEOW” top is seriously cute. Although it’s similar in color to last month’s, I love the large black font and the kitty art, which looks just like my childhood cat, Stripy. The fabric is incredibly soft, making this one of the comfiest tees I own. Since the tees are unisex, I ordered a medium, and it fits me perfectly. These tees are always one of my favorite items in the box, and this month definitely didn’t disappoint!
Cat Alarm Clock - Listed Value $16.99
The next item I received was a cute kitty alarm clock. It totally gives me "Felix" vibes—I feel like I’ve seen something similar before. With large white numbers and hands, this clock requires a AA battery, which wasn’t included. My son enjoyed it since his previous alarm clock recently died. It’s another fun addition that isn’t overly “catty” but serves as a playful nod, easily blending in with regular decor.
Cat Mom Socks - Retail Value $7.99
Socks are always a useful item, and this month we received a two-pair set! These white socks have a simple design but feature a fun colored stripe at the top along with “I ❤️ CATS” and “Cat Mom” logos. I wear a size 10 shoe, so fun socks can sometimes feel a bit tight, but these fit great and were really comfortable. It’s a fantastic inclusion—I always appreciate useful items that let me show my love for the feline in my life!
Cat Moms Club Tumbler - Retail Value $10.99
The next item we received was a cute little coffee cup featuring an adorable "Cat Moms Club" floral design. It looks just like a disposable cup but is made of durable plastic, so it’s washable and reusable. I love how lightweight and easy it is to take with me on the go. The design is charming and perfect for any cat mom who wants to show off a little pride. Overall, it’s a fun and practical addition to the box!
Boopin' Berry Wand Toy - Listed Value $5.99
Miley enjoys spending a bit of time outdoors, so I decided to try out this wand toy outside to see if it sparked more interest than usual. This cute little strawberry-and-feather version did get a sniff, but it didn’t quite compete with the thrill of digging in the mulch and exploring the bushes. The design is adorable, and I do appreciate the feather detail—it definitely seemed to catch her attention more than a plain stuffed toy would. That said, Miley has mellowed out quite a bit in her older years and isn't as playful as she once was. Still, it was a fun attempt, and I’m glad we gave it a try!
XOXO Catnip Kicker Toy - Listed Value $5.99
The last item we received was a plush catnip toy shaped like “XOXO.” While the design was cute, Miley just wasn’t very interested in it. I even took it outside to see if that would make a difference, but it didn’t. Later that evening, she did rest her head on it while curled up on the couch, but other than that, she wasn’t really into it. Luckily, my mom’s cat is much more playful, so I’m excited to pass these toys along to her when we visit next weekend!
At 16 years old, Miley has been with me through so many of life's ups and downs. Everyday with her is a gift and I can only hope she lives forever!
