Everything arrived in perfect condition. Like I said, at first it seemed a bit underwhelming, but there’s more than what meets the eye.

Arencia Deep Water Surge Serum (30ml) – Retail Value $28.00
This serum just launched, and that alone makes this box feel like a score. Arencia has been making waves in the K-beauty world lately, so it's exciting to see this brand featured. The texture is light—think essence-serum hybrid—but still delivers a noticeable boost in hydration thanks to hyaluronic acid and ceramides.
I’ve used the Deep Surge gel before and loved the bounce it gave my skin. This version feels ideal for hot, humid days when layering rich textures isn’t an option. If you love the idea of multi-step routines but hate the heaviness, this is a perfect first layer.
Tocobo Cica Calming Aqua Toner and Cica Calming Sun Serum SPF50 PA++++ – Sample Sizes
The toner is your classic watery hydrator with a cica base, ideal for post-cleansing calm. Nothing too dramatic, but solid. The Sun Serum, though? That’s the standout. It’s a best-seller for good reason: it wears like a serum, not sunscreen. No pilling, no white cast, no sticky finish. Plus, the subtle green tint helps tone down redness, making it a smart pick for reactive skin or acne flare-ups.
I do wish we had received the full-size sun serum, though.
Medicube Zero Foam Cleanser (120g) – Retail Value $22.00
I have mixed feelings here. This cleanser has a cult following for oily, acne-prone skin, thanks to its low pH formula and salicylic acid, but it’s just too drying for me. My skin felt tight post-wash, and the strong fragrance was a bit much.
That said, if you have oilier skin and prefer that “squeaky clean” feel, you might actually enjoy this. It’s all about skin type compatibility here.
Dr. Althea Skin Relief Essence (30ml) – Retail Value $17.90
Dr. Althea rarely disappoints, and this essence is no exception. It’s ultra-light, almost like water, but packed with skin-soothing ingredients like trehalose, beta-glucan, and panthenol. It absorbs in seconds and preps skin beautifully for actives or moisturizers. Great for dehydrated skin or anyone looking to layer without feeling sticky.
Farmstay Real Bamboo Essence Mask (1 sheet) – Retail Value $1.20
This sheet mask is nothing fancy, but it’s reliable. The bamboo extract gives a nice hit of hydration and feels soothing on slightly overheated skin. Sheet fit is a little large, but nothing a few snips can’t fix.
Elizavecca Centella Deep Power Mask (1 sheet) – Retail Value $2.00
Another calming mask, this time with that signature Elizavecca silky essence texture that clings nicely to the skin.
Was this Box Worth It?

Honestly? Yes.
While this month’s curation doesn’t scream “luxury,” it’s practical, current, and thoughtfully tailored to summer skin needs. The Arencia serum alone justifies most of the cost for me—it’s a new release with a strong ingredient list. The Tocobo sunscreen sample adds major value as well, especially with how buzzed-about it is in the K-beauty space.
The only real miss for me was the Medicube cleanser, but I can still see its value for oilier skin types. That’s the thing about subscription boxes—you get to test across the spectrum, even if not everything ends up a perfect fit.
Final Thoughts
BomiBox May 2025 wasn’t flashy, but it was functional, and in the skincare world, that’s often what makes the biggest impact.
If your summer goals include hydrated, calm, and sun-protected skin, this curation gets you there with minimal fuss. Plus, discovering the Arencia serum ahead of the crowd? That’s the kind of quiet flex I love as a beauty editor.
