Ipsy is a monthly beauty and makeup subscription box. For $14 per month, you get five full-sized or deluxe-sized products, plus a cute makeup bag.
This is one of our top recommendations if you are looking for a subscription box — the value and sample sizes are amazing. Just like Birchbox, Ipsy sends out many different variations of their bag each month — so my review is just one of the bag variations you might receive!
My Subscription Addiction pays for this subscription. (Check out our editorial guidelines to learn more about how we review boxes).
First Impressions
Each month, Ipsy subscribers get a makeup bag in addition to their items. This month’s theme is "Spring Into Self-Care." I appreciate the sentiment, though the makeup bag itself didn’t totally win me over. I actually love the bold orange color; it feels fun and on-theme for spring – but that slippery material just isn’t my favorite (I’m a texture person). That said, the embroidered flower design does give off groovy 70s vibes, and the chunky flower-shaped zipper pull is a charming little detail.
Included is a product card that features a list of the products and beauty tips.

MUDMASKY Velvety Glow Body Scrub, 40 ml - Retail Value $7.00
I’m always glad to see a body scrub in a subscription box, and the Mudmasky Velvety Glow Body Scrub did not disappoint. Even though the bottle is on the smaller side, I’ve found that a little goes a long way, especially if I’m just using it to refresh targeted areas like my underarms when I’m short on time. The formula features ultra-fine exfoliants that feel more like a gentle sugar scrub, making it effective without being too abrasive. It buffs away buildup (including stubborn deodorant residue) and rinses off to reveal noticeably smoother, softer skin. I also love the minimalist packaging that feels totally in line with the brand’s aesthetic. It’s a solid option for travel or a quick skin pick-me-up with a touch of luxury.
NIP + FAB Vitamin C Fix Hybrid Gel Cream 5%, 15 ml - Estimated Value $7.49
Lightweight, glow-boosting, and kind to sensitive skin, this Nip+Fab Vitamin C Fix Hybrid Gel Cream 5% has quickly become a welcome go-to in my routine. I am a huge fan of its refreshing gel texture and fast-absorbing formula. It delivers just the right dose of hydration without feeling heavy or greasy, making it perfect for layering under makeup or wearing on its own. I’m always a bit cautious with Vitamin C-infused products since my skin can be easily irritated, but this particular blend (5% vitamin C, niacinamide, and hyaluronic acid) managed to brighten and hydrate without causing any issues. It gives me that smooth, moisturized finish without clogging pores. Definitely a highlight of my spring skincare lineup.
BEAUTY CREATIONS Plump and Pout Plumping Gloss Stick in Devotion, 1.8 g - Retail Value $7.00
As someone who’s never been on the lip plumper bandwagon, the Plump and Pout Plumping Gloss Stick in ‘Devotion’ from Beauty Creations was a bit of a tough sell for me. The packaging is undeniably cute; sleek and fully equipped with a push mechanism that feeds the product out of the container. It took me a second to figure it out, but once I did, I appreciated the simplicity of the push design. The scent is lightly fruity and not at all overpowering, which is a bonus. But the moment the plumper touched my lips, the tingling kicked in fast, and I was reminded why lip plumpers just aren’t my thing. I ended up wiping it off almost immediately, though the effect was still there. My lips looked fuller, even after the product had been washed off. So, while the formula clearly does what it promises, the feeling just isn’t worth it for me personally. That said, if lip plumpers are your jam, this could easily become a new favorite for you.

ILLUMINATI COSMETICS Multi-Chrome Gel Eyeliner in Heir, 0.28 g - Retail Value $21.00
Eyeliner isn’t part of my everyday routine as of late, but the Illuminati Cosmetics Multi-Chrome Gel Eyeliner in ‘Heir’ makes a compelling case. The purple shade is playful yet wearable, with a gorgeous multi-chrome shimmer that catches the light nicely without going overboard. I was pleasantly surprised by how smoothly the product applied, even with its glittery finish, and it seems to do so without flaking or smudging. Long-lasting? It seems to stay put for quite a long while. Bonus points for the eye-safe formula, which is great for sensitive eyes like mine. If you want that pop of metallic color in your life, this eyeliner delivers with style and performance.

JO MALONE LONDON Wood Sage and Sea Salt Cologne, 1.5 ml - Estimated Value $2.52
Perfumes and colognes aren’t usually a go-to for me. I mainly try to steer clear of perfumes that skew too floral or powdery, but this Wood Sage and Sea Salt Cologne from Jo Malone London’s caught me a bit off-guard. It has this crisp, clean quality to it that I didn’t expect, with pleasant woodsy notes. It’s subtle and refreshingly unisex, which is something I really appreciate. The sample size is compact and travel-friendly, making it the perfect on-the-go option for freshening up after the gym or a long day out. Of all the fragrances I’ve tried in recent years, this is one of my faves.
The Verdict
This was a solid month for Ipsy Glam Bag! It offered a refreshing mix of skincare, makeup, and fragrance; definitely a self-care theme I can get behind. The Mudmasky body scrub was a lovely addition, with its ultra-fine exfoliant that leaves skin soft and smooth to the touch. I was also pleasantly surprised by Illuminati Cosmetics’ gel eyeliner, which adds a fun, shimmering pop of purple to any look without flaking or irritating my sensitive eyes. The gel cream from Nip+Fab has quickly become a new favorite; its lightweight texture and gentle formula delivers all the benefits of Vitamin C without the irritation. Jo Malone London’s cologne was unique with its crisp, coastal scent, and I actually quite like it. Lastly, the lip plumper from Beauty Creations… While I don’t love the tingling sensation, I can still appreciate the cute packaging, pleasant scent, and immediately effective formula. Overall, I thought this month’s curation felt thoughtfully put together, with a mix of products that bring both fun and functionality to the table.
