Rocksbox Jewelry Review March 2024

Warm weather is just around the corner, and I'm going to celebrate by renting some of Rocksbox's latest and greatest designs! Since I took a trip down to Miami and Key West, I rented pieces I felt would work well with my dresses and exude a little bit of a beachy vibe too.

Since Rocksbox had TWO sales this month, I took advantage of the 25% off and purchased a pair of earrings that I felt would be perfect for the spring and summer.

Rocksbox is a jewelry styling and rental service. Members pay a flat rate every month to get unlimited access to the Rocksbox collection and the option to buy whatever they love at a discounted price. Each month, Rocksbox will curate sets of three pieces to send your way, including at least one piece from your ever-growing wish list. Members can keep and wear the three pieces they receive for as long as they want, or they can switch out sets whenever they'd like. Rocksbox also offers a monthly credit so you can buy the pieces for less.

Concerned about cleanliness? Each piece is sterilized with alcohol jewelry cleaner using medical grade products and handled with jewelry experts wearing gloves.

This is a review of the monthly plan for $21, which includes shipping to the US only.

This box was sent to us at no cost for review. (Check out our editorial guidelines to learn more about how we review boxes.)

Just like other subscription boxes, when I signed up for Rocksbox I had to set up a style profile that asked me questions like my metal preference, and which necklace, earring, bracelet, and ring styles I liked the most.

Let's check out this month's delivery!

What I Received

Kendra Scott Parker Hoop Earrings- Retail Value $80, Member Price $80

About this item: These glamorous hoops were incredibly versatile, and eye-catching too! Rendered in high polish, 18k gold-plated brass, these earrings feature soft angles and clear crystals. They're medium weight and measure at 1.15"L X 0.69"W.

Condition: Excellent.

Review: I instantly fell in love with these earrings, and contemplated purchasing them during the 30% off sale, but I changed my mind at the last minute. Trying not to go too crazy!

Aster Ridge Beaded Hoops - Retail Price $55, Member Price $46

About this item: I rented these colorful earrings to match two dresses I bought for my trip, and they didn't disappoint! These blue and white beaded hoops are crafted in 14k gold-plated brass filled with tiny beading. They're medium weight and they measure at 1.75".

Condition: Perfect!

Review: Colorful, unique and totally fun! These earrings make rentals a blast!

Aster Maggie Drop Earrings - Retail Value $70, Member Price $59

About this item: Reminiscent of an elegant chandelier, these 14k gold-plated drop earrings feature a dangling cluster of gold gingko leaves. Perfect for a fancy night out on the town, they're medium weight and measure at 2.75" long.

Condition: Excellent.

Review: Since they're unique and unlike anything I've owned before, I bought them at 25% off. They'll be great during the summer!

The Verdict

It was a fun month for jewelry rentals, and I got to explore styles and designs I wouldn't have considered before. After all, that's what rentals are all about! I've already received my shipment for April, and I think you'll really like them! Stay tuned.

Value Breakdown: Rocksbox membership costs $21 per month. At retail, the three pieces would've cost me $185. With my Rocksbox discounts and the member pricing including the buy-all-three-items $10 discount, the $21 of Shine Credit (doesn't look like this applied this time), and my Rose Gold Rewards discount of $9.25, the total price for the three items goes down to $165.75.

If shopping were an Olympic sport, I’d be a gold medalist. And while my bank account often feels the crunch, I just can’t stop buying secondhand clothing and accessories, under-the-radar designer goods, stuffed animal unicorns (I have about 75), and toys for my pet bunny rabbit. After 20 years of city slicking in NYC and DC, I now have a car and love to tour the Virginia countryside looking for vintage shops, undiscovered wineries and breweries, historic sites, and Thai restaurants—I’m addicted to Thai food. I never leave home without a spare phone charger because I love horror movies and therefore have an irrational fear of being stranded somewhere with a dead battery.
