CatLadyBox is a monthly subscription box for cat ladies (or anyone who is crazy about cats)! The $34.99 per month CatLadyBox has 2-3 cat-themed items – wearables, items for the home, books, etc., while the $39.99 per month Crazy CatLadyBox contains everything from the CatLadyBox plus a few items just for cats.

This is a review of the Crazy CatLadyBox.

First Impressions

I absolutely adore cats. In my 35 years, I have never been without one, so when the opportunity to review the CatLadyBox arrived, I snapped it right up. The little gal that will be helping me test out this box is my 14 year old calico named Miley. She has been with me through thick and thin, and while elderly, is still as sassy as ever. Let's dig in, shall we?!

I honestly was so excited to see this treat in my mailbox. Arriving in a brown cardboard box with a kitty silhouette, I couldn't wait to rip into it. Featuring black tissue paper held together by a sticker, it presented as a lovely gift and has the potential to hold anything from cat-themed jewelry, clothes, home decor, and more. If you subscribe to the Crazy CatLadyBox, you'll get a few treats for your furbaby, too.

Along with the items, this box also comes with an info sheet, featuring custom artwork on the opposing side. This month's art was created by Kay Rae. Cute!

The Breakdown – What’s Inside This Crazy Cat Lady Box

Cat Cuddling Sweatshirt - Listed Value $27.99

When I signed up for this subscription, I have to say, I was quite excited by the inclusion of clothing. I love  comfy tees with "punny" sayings, so I had my hopes set pretty high. When I opened this box, I was pleasantly surprised to find this grey sweatshirt featuring the words: "This is my cat cuddling sweatshirt". Printed on a Gildan brand "heavy blend" sweatshirt, I opted for a size medium, as the website indicates most clothing is unisex in size. This sweatshirt isn't overly heavy, but very soft and cuddly. Perfect for a lazy night in with Ms. Miley, I slipped this on and totally cat cuddled on the couch while watching TV with my kiddos. Great for at home, it's so cozy that I actually wore it to school too, as the -30 windchill temps have me craving layers.

Cute and comfy, the fit of this sweatshirt was spot on, as was the saying. A very practical product, and one that is sure to get a ton of use! Look at that sweet kitty - she is seriously the best!

Paw-romise Ring - List Value $14.99

I am a big fan of jewelry, so this "paw-romise ring" was the perfect addition to my collection. While the metal content wasn't listed, this expandable ring features 11 kitty paw cutouts and can be adjusted to fit a variety of finger sizes. Not only is this ring cute, but the design is subtle enough that it can be worn every day.

Mewtivational Coasters - Listed Value $11.99

While we don't typically use coasters at our house, this set will get us to start! Featuring four cork coasters with "meowtivational" messages, these squares will keep your surfaces protected while sending a little positivity your way. "When the path gets tough, remember you have claws" is definitely my favorite, but they really are all pretty "punny".

Cattitude Journal Catnip Toy - Listed Value $5.99

Like I mentioned above, Miley is 14 years old, but still enjoys toys. While some kitties go crazy with catnip around, Miley tends to zone out and relax. This gratitude journal shaped toy was soft to the touch and crinkly. With cute embroidery, this looked similar to my daily journal, and Miley instantly fell in love with it. Rubbing herself on it, and batting at it, she played with it for a while before laying down.

Huggable Catnip Kicker Toy - Listed Value $5.99

After seeing Miley's reaction to the gratitude journal toy, I had a feeling she was going to like this one too. While this "Huggable Kicker Toy" didn't have the crinkly sound the journal did, she was able to bite on this one a little easier, and was licking it like crazy. Again, she didn't attack, run to, or fetch this toy, but opted to rub herself on it, lick it, and then doze off.

Cat Soap Dish - Listed Value $9.99

The last item we received was not listed on our included info card, but was a bonus extra item that has been a subscriber favorite from one of the past boxes. Because I am new to this subscription, this soap dish was obviously new to me, and while I wasn't that excited about it at first, have come to love its functionality! In our shower, our two plastic shelves tend to get hit by the shower spray, so our bar soap turns soggy real quick. Adding this small shelf to the back of the shower has eliminated that and has helped our soap last longer! Not only practical, but subtly cute with the kitty ears, this is a great way to show your love for cats in your everyday decor.

Value – Was This Box Worth It?

The Cost: $34.99 per month (with a 6-month plan)+ free US shipping. Month-to-month cost is $38.99

ACTIVE DEAL: 20% off your first box
CODE: MSA20

Value Breakdown:

  • Shirt: $27.99
  • Ring: $14.99
  • Meowtivational Coasters: $11.99
  • Journal Toy: $5.99
  • Huggable Toy: $5.99
  • Soap Dish: $9.99

Everything in this box is bespoke to the subscription, so I have to go by listed values (though some of the products will be available for sale in the CatLadyBox shop!) The values add up to $76.94 this month, which is almost double the cost of the box!

Key Takeaways

Because I have followed past reviews of the CatLadyBox closely, I had an idea of what to expect in my first month of this fabulous subscription, but was really wowed by the January contents. I love, love, loved the simplistic, yet cozy sweatshirt inclusion, subtle cat paw ring, and fun catnip toys, as did Ms. Miley. I also appreciated the bonus item, and have used the soap dish everyday since receiving it. If fun cat-themed items are your jam, and you are looking for a monthly gift to yourself and your feline friend, this subscription is the one for you!

Calico Cat

So nice to get s fresh review. Miley is beautiful. Is she a tortoishell or Calico?

Thanks for commenting Calico Cat! ❤️ I always thought she was considered calico because she has white on one side of her neck and tail, but now you have me wondering! She definitely has the attitude of a tortie, and reading all the folklores was fun!
