Stitch Fix is a personal styling service. When you sign up, you take an in-depth survey of your sizes, your style, and your pricing preferences. After choosing when you’d like to receive your delivery, your stylist handpicks five items based on your preferences. The fee for this service is $20, and that includes free shipping and free returns. And if you keep any of the items they send you, you get to deduct the $20 fee from the total. (If you keep all five items, you also get a 25% discount!)

My items are reflective of my style and price preferences, so your Fix may be completely different.

First Impressions

Let's take a look at this month's selections, shall we?

What's Inside This Month's Fix

Leoni Off Shoulder Rib Knit Top, Size 2x — Retail Value $58.00

My stylist, Jami, sent me this off the shoulder black top. The material has loads of stretch and a great fit. I appreciate the off-the-shoulder detail, as it gives a subtle, sexy vibe. It would look great whether styled with a skirt and heels or with jeans and sneakers. Since it is Spooky Season, I opted to pair this diverse piece with some glittery skull earrings, black Fabletics leggings (sorry, they are roughly six years old-- they should really re-release this style, though), and Mega Crush sandals by Crocs.

Morell Knit Midi Dress by Wisp, Size 22-Retail Value $46.97

Go figure, because last month's Wisp dress was such a beaut, Jami sent me this purple style. This is a bit more fall appropriate with the sleeves, but this is a piece that could easily be worn all year and for all occasions. I love the vintage inspired mood this piece brings. The abstract floral hot pink and white against the bright purple is gorgeous. I decided to up the pink factor with my Zenni glasses and my pink Melissa brand Megan platforms. We still have warm days sprinkled in before winter, but this can easily translate into colder weather. Simply put on a pair of black tights and black booties along with a long bulky cardigan or faux fur-trimmed coat. This is a versatile dress, but also incredibly comfortable to wear. It has loads of stretch and the length hits perfectly for wear in the office or even a family event. This cutie is also on sale on the Stitch Fix site, making it an even greater value!

Glimora Short Sleeve Fitted Cut Out Knit Top in Burgundy, Size 2x— Listed Value $44

Now we've got this flirty, burgundy number. I love this top because it does show some skin, but I think this is still appropriate to wear in the work environment. My cleavage is entirely covered, but this piece is alluring enough to wear out for drinks or on a date as well. I styled this dress with the black version of the Melissa shoes shown above along with the Tribal skort that my stylist also included for me. This top is on the longer side, so I think it would look great tucked into a pencil skirt or high-waisted jeans or dress pants as well. The only thing I have even a slight issue is with the knot. It seems a bit bulky, but not enough to distract or annoy you as we you wear the piece.

Selah Cozy Rib Sweater by Sanctuary in Orange, Size 2x — Listed Value $89

Not sure if yinz can tell, but orange is one of my favorite colors. I know, what a shock! I was excited that Jami sent this comfy, cozy sweater my way. Yes, of course, I love the color, but I love the fit too. The sleeves are roomy, but this is the type of piece I would wear either at the pumpkin patch or laying on my couch taking in a Netflix marathon. I also like how the knit isn't super thick, but soft and incredibly warm. I paired this with the skort Jami sent, but put a more casual spin by styling this sweater with my Converse sneakers and earrings from Rebs Rainbow Haus. This would be great paired with black tights and combat boots for a cool 90s inspired ensemble or with jeans and flats for an effortlessly adorable outfit.

Biana Scalloped Hem Skort by Tribal, Size 24w  — Retail Value $54

Finally, we have a checkered print scalloped skort by Tribal. I am not sure if I am keen on the scalloped detail, but I do like that this a less casual skort item. This is a piece that can easily be worn in the office place without concern of oneself being exposed. I love that it allows you to go bare legged without a worry in the world. The material is incredibly stretchy making this one so easy to wear.

The Verdict

This month's Stitch Fix had some awesome pieces that can be worn both out and about and to work! The Wisp dress and Threads 4 Thought top were my favorite of the bunch not only due to style, but fit. My stylist, Jami, truly takes to heart what might appeal to me in each and every selection. I always can see her efforts; she frequently will include pieces from my bookmarks to ensure I get a Fix with me in mind. I make it a priority to provide ample feedback on the style and fit of each item, to help Jami further for the following month's Fix. I truly can't say enough how crucial it is to provide that information on subscription sites. Feedback is so vital! Not only do I provide direct feedback, but I also "bookmark" or list pieces as favorites on the site for further direction.

With a of risk sounding redundant,  I can't encourage you enough to provide your Pinterest and Instagram links. These will be great assets to your stylist; you are quite literally handing them visual aids on your style, body shape, and preferences on fit and how to adorn and decorate your body. This is an essential tool to help your stylist send you your dream Fix! An additional plus is that you have the ability to personally select pieces for your Stitch Fix as well! Each month, after providing my feedback and my my next box date is selected, I am given the option to choose five of the pieces from a dozen or so that my stylist selects. This is a great option for a self-proclaimed shopping fiend like me!

The total retail value of the items inside is $291.97 The cost of each item is listed alongside it, above, but if I choose to keep at least 5 items, I get a 25% discount.
