Enchanted Crystal is a monthly subscription for crystals, hand-picked and uniquely curated to offer a truly enchanted crystal experience.

My Subscription Addiction received this box free for review. (Check out the editorial guidelines to learn more about how we review boxes.)

This is a review for the $16.00 Crystal of the Month subscription.

First Impressions

The crystal was carefully packaged: nestled in several feet of packing paper and enclosed in bubble wrap. So it’s not surprising that it arrived in perfect condition!

Enchanted Crystal usually includes two inserts in their monthly subscription box. The box I received in September didn’t contain any inserts so I went to their website.

In their September blog post, Enchanted Crystal shared that they would be visiting the Denver Gem show, which is the second largest gem show in the United States. I’m excited because that usually means even more unique and beautiful specimens to be found in future Enchanted Crystal boxes!

The Crystals

Quartz Points And Black Kyanite (Bonus Crystals)

Each month, Enchanted Crystal includes a small collection of bonus crystals and stones. I look at these extras as an appetizer; a little taste to get you hungry for more! The bonus crystals I received this month were two pieces of Black Kyanite, a Quartz point and a piece of Purple Lepidolite Mica.

Enchanted Crystal’s Crystal Library doesn’t have a specific listing for Quartz points but it does have a listing for clear Quartz. According to the Crystal Library, “Metaphysically, clear quartz is highly regarded for its amplifying and purifying properties. It is believed to enhance energy, clarity of thought, and spiritual connection. Clear quartz clusters are often used for energy cleansing, meditation, and enhancing the energies of other crystals.”

The two, spiky shards are Black Kyanite. According to the Crystal Library, Metaphysically, “Black Kyanite is valued for its ability to aid in self-discovery, as it is believed to help uncover hidden aspects of oneself and support personal growth and transformation. Its sleek and sharp form is seen as a symbol of cutting through illusions and accessing deeper truths. A truly special example of a crystal that matches itself in both form and function!”

There is an extra bonus stone that isn’t listed on the label, but I reached out to Enchanted Crystal and they confirmed that it’s Purple Lepidolite Mica. According to the Crystal Library, “Metaphysically, lepidolite is believed to have powerful calming and balancing effects. It is associated with reducing stress, anxiety, and emotional imbalances, promoting a sense of peace and relaxation. Lepidolite is also known for its ability to support emotional healing, enhance self-love, and encourage positive transformation.”

Now, on to the main event!

Tiger’s Eye

The featured stone this month is well known: Tiger’s Eye. Subscribers were sent a large piece of Tiger’s Eye in its natural, raw form. I’ve always seen Tiger’s Eye shaped and polished; I’ve even made jewelry from Tiger’s Eye beads. Seeing it as it is, pulled directly from the earth, is a nice change. It doesn’t have the full chatoyancy of a polished piece, but its beauty is unmistakable. The bands of different colored minerals make for a stunning sight.

According to the Crystal Library on Enchanted Crystal’s website, “The tiger's eye component brings qualities of confidence, motivation, and clarity of intention. It is known for its chatoyancy, which gives it a shimmering, cat's-eye effect. Hematite, the metallic gray mineral, provides grounding, stability, and strength. Red or brown jasper adds vitality, passion, and creativity to the stone. Tiger's eye is treasured for its metaphysical properties. It is believed to promote personal power, resilience, and inner strength. This stone is often used to bring stability during times of change.”

The Verdict

September’s box was really interesting. I love receiving a stone that I’m very familiar with, but in a form that I’ve never seen before! Even in its raw state, Tiger's Eye is beautiful and powerful.

The bonus crystals were really great too. And it was fun to receive a bonus bonus! I now have several Quartz Points, but I love the look (and feel) of them, so I don’t mind adding another to my collection. In fact, I think I’m going to use them to decorate my mom’s fairy garden! They’ll bring some sparkle and a lot of beauty to her little fairy world.

I love the Black Kyanite too. The shape is so unusual and in such a vivid black color, they really stand out. The final bonus, a piece of Purple Lepidolite Mica was an accidental inclusion in this box, but I’m not complaining! Who doesn’t love an extra surprise? Plus it’s a really cool looking stone; its flaky layering reminds me of baklava!

If you’re interested in crystals, the monthly box is a great place to start your collection. As for the value, considering the fact that shipping is included in the $16 cost, I feel that the subscription price is a very good deal.

I’m always excited to see what this box will contain and what beauty and knowledge lie within it!
