First Impressions

We are 5 days away from the official start of fall, and I have made the transition from summer vibes to pumpkin spice more quickly than I thought I would. As I finish up my weekend, I have been very intentional about taking a few moments to sit and breathe. After a bluster of activities, mama is in need of a staycation retreat, and that is exactly what this month's Wicked Good's box had in mind. Packed with natural and airy aromas, this month's fragrances left me feeling recharged and relaxed, which is exactly how I want to feel. Read below to see what I discovered in this month's box.

What's Inside This Box

"White T-Shirt" Perfume Oil Roller, 10 mL - Listed Value $18

White T-shirt is the perfect name for the blend of fragrances this oil roller combined. Filled with notes of powdery lavender, pear, and sandalwood, this scent is clean, light, and ultra-relaxing. When home, I mostly wear white T-shirts, so this was a perfect fit for a staycation kind of day. I rolled the oil on my wrists, crooks of my elbows, and behind my knees for a light waft of deliciousness, and while folding laundry loved the subtle notes it created. Pairing perfectly with all of the other items included this month, I love the versatility of this fragrance, and how it can be utilized by itself, or paired with others.

"Grey Sweatpants" Perfume Spray, 1 oz - Listed Value $39

While I generally pair my white T-shirt with jeans or yoga pants, the perfume spray we received is titled "Grey Sweatpants". Clever, as well as spot on, this fragrance is also clean, natural, and relaxing, though a little more vibrant than the roller ball. With notes of eucalyptus, cardamom, oak, cedar, musk, moss, olibanum, tonic absolute, and amber woods, this too is fantastic on its own, or paired with the oil. Applying generously, my sweatshirt soaked in the notes that were then released throughout the day. My favorite part of this spray was the inclusion of the stones at the bottom of the bottle. Between the sound of rocks jingling and the relaxing scent, this is by far one of my favorite curations yet!

"Bliss" Room + Pillow Mist

Before I was diagnosed with anxiety in 2018, I started worrying so incessantly, that I was then suffering from insomnia as well. To help combat worrying at night, I created a nighttime routine that included pillow mist, and still use it today. While I typically use lavender and vanilla, I really appreciated the change of pace this "Bliss" scent offers. Featuring notes of white tea, green bergamot, wild thyme, star jasmine, cedar, and sandalwood, the lightness is hard to beat. Natural and sweet, this too is the epitome of a staycation retreat, and I am going to need this in bulk!

"Heavenly Spa" Bath Soak

Like I mentioned above, in creating a nighttime routine, I have become accustomed to a nightly soak in the tub. While I know not all people like baths, I happen to love them, and this bath soak was so much fun! Featuring large bath salts, sugar, and dried flowers, the beautiful floral fragrances were perfect for bedtime.

Miley joined me for my "Staycation Retreat" and enjoyed batting at the filling from this month's box. Ending the retreat, we picked our pumpkins and ended up with over 200!

Key Takeaways

This month's Wicked Good box featured my favorite theme yet. "Staycation Retreat" not only contained wonderfully relaxing scents, but amazing items that I have used every day since receiving. This subscription is superb at creating fragrances that not only are amazing on their own but pair together well for customized scents. As you read, aromatherapy is a huge part of my anxiety management, so for me, this box is a must-have. What did you think of this month's Wicked Good box? I am already looking forward to the October curation!

Thank you so much for commenting Danielle! Isn’t Miley a doll? That old girl has seen it all, and she’s still the sweetest thing! As far as the longevity with scents, I have noticed the sprays typically wear off after a few hours of wear, but the oils have more staying power and last 6-8ish hours depending on the scent. Because it’s a monthly sub and the quantity is pretty large, I do keep both items in my bag for a refresher throughout the day. Hope that helps!!

Miley is so cute!

I’ve been interested in this box for a while and I bet they’ll have some great fall scents for next month, but the thing that’s kept me from subscribing is the scent sillage and longevity — do you find their perfumes last throughout the day? Or only for a few hours?
