This is a review for the $16.00 Crystal of the Month subscription.
How cute is the crystal-covered tape that wraps this sturdy box? Such a lovely presentation! The crystals were carefully packaged: they were nestled in several feet of packing paper and enclosed in bubble wrap. It’s not surprising, then, that they arrived in perfect condition.
Enchanted Crystal has continued to use QR codes on the insert included in the box. There are three QR codes that take you to the Enchanted Crystal Library as well as links to welcome letters!
In their latest letter, Enchanted Crystal welcomes new members to their team and teases new stones that will be in future boxes. Some of those stones will only be for subscribers of their boxes; they won’t be available in their shop. Exciting!
The other insert includes some information about this month’s featured gemstone: Ruby! I love these inserts because the info that Enchanted Crystal chooses to share is always interesting. This month’s informational insert also has a QR code to the page for Ruby in their Crystal Library.
Quartz Points & Utah Topaz (Bonus Crystals)
Each month, Enchanted Crystal includes a small collection of bonus crystals and stones. I look at these extras as an appetizer; a little taste to get you hungry for more! The bonus crystals I received this month were 2 Quartz points and a handful of Utah Topaz pieces.
Enchanted Crystal has sent me pieces of Moroccan Quartz in the past, but it’s so lovely to look at and to hold that I’m not bothered at all. Unfortunately, Enchanted Crystal doesn’t have a specific listing for Moroccan Quartz, but according to the Enchanted Crystal Library,
“Metaphysically, clear quartz is highly regarded for its amplifying and purifying properties. It is believed to enhance energy, clarity of thought, and spiritual connection. Clear quartz clusters are often used for energy cleansing, meditation, and enhancing the energies of other crystals.”
The handful of brownish crystals are known as Utah Topaz, which also doesn’t have an entry in the Crystal Library, so I did some research elsewhere. Metaphysically, Topaz is very useful. According to Crystals And Jewelry, “It is beneficial as an ally when setting personal attainment goals as it is incredibly supportive for affirmations and manifestation work. Topaz is very effective for cleansing the aura and for inducing relaxation because it releases tension at all levels.
Now, on to the main event!
The featured stone this month is a very famous one: Ruby! Subscribers were sent a large chunk of natural Ruby. This specimen, from Madagascar, is in its raw form. Once the stone is cut and polished, chromium, the mineral that gives Rubies their red color, stands out and sparkles.
According to the Crystal Library on Enchanted Crystal’s website, “Metaphysically, ruby is believed to possess powerful properties. It is associated with the heart chakra, promoting love, passion, and vitality. Ruby is said to ignite courage, confidence, and personal strength, empowering individuals to pursue their dreams and overcome challenges. Ruby is also associated with abundance and success, with some believing it can attract wealth and prosperity.”
I really liked August’s box. I’ve always seen rubies in their polished form and very, very small. So it was fun to hold a hefty chunk of such a valuable stone. True, in its raw form, as this is, it’s not nearly as valuable, it’s still quite beautiful to hold and admire. Plus, if you’re a believer in the ability of crystals to aid and guide us, it’s an important stone to add to your arsenal.
The bonus crystals were great too. I have several pieces of Quartz, but I love the look (and feel) of Quartz points so much that I’m always happy to add it to my collection. I found the Utah Topaz very interesting. At first glance, it’s just a bunch of rough, brown crystals. But if you look closely, you can see the inner sparkle! Such a nice reminder that when we take the time to look more closely at something, we can often find beauty within it!
If you’re interested in crystals, the monthly box is a great place to start your collection. As for the value, considering the fact that shipping is included in the $16 cost, I feel that the subscription price is a very good deal.
I’m always excited to see what this box will contain and what beauty and knowledge lie within it!
