What's Inside The Bag

So Susan Limited-Edition Makeup Bag, April 2023 - Retail Value $12

This month's bag is fun and colorful for spring. The hot air balloons are really cute, and I'll never complain about the size of So Susan's bags. They're easy to wipe clean, and the storage space is a dream.

Jelly Pong Pong Celestina Eyeshadow & Highlight Palette - Retail Value $35.00

I can't get enough of this shimmering palette. There are three colors ranging from light to dark pink, all equally shiny and beautiful. I've used all three colors; the two pinks are beautiful blushes while the champagne is a pretty, not-so-subtle highlight. They are all pigmented, and while I haven't seen the sun in a few weeks, I know that these will look so gorgeous on a sunny day.

So Susan Liquid Matte Lipstick in Moon Nude - Retail Value $14.00

I know that the concealer-lipped look was popular in the 90's, but I never saw the appeal. I am pale, so matching my skin to my lips seemed to be counterproductive. I am also not a fan of liquid lipsticks as they tend to be drying, and I love a juicy lip. Unfortunately, this product was a complete miss for me. The liquid lip never completely dried down and was sticky around the edges. It was also really hard to blend evenly.

So Susan Cosmetics Muse Palette - Retail Value $17.95

So Susan makes a great eyeshadow. This petite trio is great for on the good, and it is an extremely easy, complete eye look. The color on the left is the perfect inner corner highlight, and the middle shade is great for all over the lid. Add the dark shade on the right to the outer corner and line the eye with it for more definition. Voila!

Jelly Pong Pong Luna Light in Aurora - Retail Value $19.00

Everyone knows this girl loves a good cream product. Liquid highlight is the perfect way to snatch a glow; I even add a tiny bit to my foundation on occasion, and it really adds dimension to the complexion. Aurora is a pale pink, and it can be sheered out or worn as a chrome highlight.

Swatched above: So Susan Cosmetics eyeshadow, Jelly Pong Pong Celestina Palette, So Susan Liquid Lipstick, Jelly Pong Pong Luminizer

Oh hi! It's me. I was planning on protecting the internet from seeing me in this lip color, but at the same time, I needed everyone to know about it. I am also wearing the other products in this month's bag.

Verdict

This month's So Susan Color Curate was interesting. I really love the Jelly Pong Pong palette and luminizer, and the small So Susan palette will also come in handy while traveling. Everything was great aside from that So Susan liquid lip, woof. This month's bag's retail value comes to $97.95; you're getting four products for $20.95, a pretty great deal.

I’m a self-proclaimed “cool mom” who loves a little, who am I kidding, a lot of razzle-dazzle. I have been box-obsessed for over 10 years, and I am always on the hunt for new beauty, fun flair and trendy clothing boxes. A fun night for me includes an exfoliating foot mask and a bag of Dot's Pretzels while binging Rupaul’s Drag Race.

I love the pink pallete and eyeshadow colors on you – I actually thought the lippy was concealer, yikes! At least the rest of it is great!

Thanks for your service, that’s some horrible color (or lack there of) right there! The nude lip isn’t good on anyone, the 90’s were a horror show of pale lips.

Not the 90s I remember. I think you girls are confused with the nude lip craze of the 2000s thanks to Kim Kardashian. In the 90s we wore brown (not nude,) and brick red. When Chanel came out with Vamp lipstick and nail varnish in 1995, that was my favorite for both lips and tips.

While I think you aways look wonderful in every thing, this lip product might not be for you ( or me either. ) lol

You might be able to mix a food color/gel into the lip stick. I agree that color nude is the WORST in my skin tone.
