Ipsy is a monthly beauty and makeup subscription box. For $13 per month, you get five full-size or deluxe-sized products, plus a cute makeup bag.

This is one of our top recommendations if you are looking for a subscription box — the value and sample sizes are amazing. Just like Birchbox, Ipsy sends out many different variations of their bag each month — so my review is just one of the bag variations you might receive!

Open Envelope for Ipsy Glam Bag March 2023

Everything comes packaged snugly in the signature pink Ipsy bubble mailer.

Included is a product card that features a list of the products and any beauty tips.

Each month, Ipsy subscribers get a makeup bag in addition to their items. ‘Step Into Your Power…’ That’s the theme for this month, and I’m feelin’ it. I don’t know about you, but 2023 hasn’t been all that; not yet, anyway, but I’m hopeful. Plus, I’m a huge fan of this makeup bag. It’s super cute, with a bit of a diamond pattern on a white metallic backdrop. The interior is a pretty royal blue, and the zipper hardware has the image of what looks like a queen/goddess (or someone of royalty) etched into it. Let’s see what this month’s curation brings.

Now, on to the items!

BENEFIT COSMETICS The POREfessional Tight ‘N Toned Toner, 22 ml - Estimated Value $5.62

I’m always thrilled to see Benefit Cosmetics included in a subscription box! The POREfessional Tight ‘N Toned Toner is a product entirely new to me. I immediately noticed that this is not just any toner… This is a toning foam. What I love about this toner is how quickly it absorbs into my skin upon application, and better yet, no cotton round needed since it applies easily with just your fingertips. Highlights of the formula include AHAs and PHAs, both of which help to exfoliate the skin over time. I was pleasantly surprised to see that my pores indeed did look smaller when I first applied this to my face. As someone with sensitive skin, I’m also happy to report that this toner is super gentle, which I appreciate. I’m interested to see the effects on my skin after some consistent use.

STYLEDRY Pineapple and Coconut Hair Mask, 100 ml - Retail Value $22.00

O-M-G. First off, this Pineapple and Coconut Hair Mask from StyleDry smells absolutely divine. I am obsessed. The scent immediately transported my mind to a tropical paradise with piña coladas galore, and I was left yearning for some summer fun. My thick, curly head of hair loves hydration, and it can use as much conditioning as it can get, so I am always on the lookout for a good hair mask. Unfortunately no hair care product is one-size-fits-all, and so while this is a great addition to my routine, it’s no replacement for my usual hair oils. With star ingredients like coconut oil and murumuru butter, this mask does an excellent job of hydrating, leaving my hair feeling healthy, weightless, and soft to the touch.

BEAUTANIQ BEAUTY Caffeine Eye Cream, 15 ml - Retail Value $18.00

I absolutely love this Caffeine Eye Cream from Beautaniq Beauty. Finding the perfect eye cream for me can be difficult as a lot of them are a bit heavier, sometimes causing mini breakouts on my under eyes. This eye cream, however, is as close to perfect as I’ve ever seen. With the inclusion of caffeine, hyaluronic acid, and green tea, this stuff works wonders for beating the early morning rush. I love how nicely the caffeine works to depuff and hydrate the bags under my eyes, making me look wide awake, alert, and enthusiastic, no matter how tired I feel on the inside. Oh, and there is no discernable scent, which is another huge bonus for me.

TARTE Sugar Rush lash treat™ Volumizing Mascara, 2 ml - Estimated Value $5.56

I’m not super picky when it comes to my mascara, but I am certainly always happy to see a Tarte product. Mascara is one of those staples in my everyday makeup look, and this Lash Treat Volumizing Mascara from Tarte is impressive. I love how sleek the packaging is, and despite the packaging being minimal, I was surprised by the size and versatility of the brush. One side has longer bristles to help curl and add length, while the other side with the shorter bristles does an excellent job of defining and separating those lashes. The formula of this mascara does a fabulous job of creating a voluminous look, and I enjoy that there’s an added bonus of conditioning properties including hemp seed, castor, and avocado oils. I didn’t experience any clumping or smudging when applying this product, and it’s easy to go from natural to intense. I appreciate the true jet black shade, and with a formula that’s so long-lasting, I’ll be using this down to the very last drop.

KAB Tinted Lip Oil in Borderline, 3.7 g - Estimated Value $12.33

I can never have enough lip oil, and this tinted one from KAB Cosmetics is solid. The shade ‘Borderline’ looks to be a very light pink, but it looks pretty much sheer on my lips, which I actually don’t mind. It provides a minimal burst of color but a major burst of hydration. As far as the texture, it’s not at all sticky but does provide a bit of shine, and the oil itself has a delightful scent to it. Lip oils are my favorite for maintaining lip hydration; nothing else seems to work quite as well for me, so I am thrilled to have a new one of these in my stash. I also really love the doe foot applicator.

The Verdict

I thought this was a great month for Ipsy Glam Bag! The highlight for me was the caffeine eye cream from Beautaniq Beauty. I truly love the lightweight texture and how quickly it absorbs into my skin. Benefit Cosmetics’ foaming toner is another great inclusion for the month and definitely something on the more unique side, which I appreciate. I love a good toner, and one I can apply with my fingertips is ideal for me. KAB Cosmetics lip oil is ultra-hydrating and not at all sticky; it’s much more of a gloss than a tint, and the power of its hydration comes out on top. The hair mask from StyleDry is perhaps the most delicious-smelling product I’ve experienced as of late, and it does a nice job of conditioning hair. Its conditioning properties are solid, packed with coconut oil and murumuru butter. Lastly, the mascara from Tarte… I always enjoy Tarte, and the mascara proved itself to be a solid option whether you’re creating a natural look or a more intense look for a night out. Overall, I thought this was quite a solid month. The curation of products were varied, from skincare, to makeup, to haircare, and that’s something I very much appreciate. Plus, the value is there.

I think this may be your first review that you actually used all the products!

I don’t see where you’re getting your valuation from. The eye cream is 18.00$ for 15ml. The sample in this bag is 0.5ml, so that’s no where near the 18$ full priced cream.

15ml=0.5floz.

I had to laugh at “awake, alert, enthusiastic.” I say versions of that to my husband all the time, but he has no frame of reference. You must have gone to summer camp or worked with kids at some point!
