Fortune Cookie Soap Box is a monthly subscription for $19.95 ($16.95 for those who subscribed before 11/13/22). Included in the subscription, is a $10 off $25 coupon code. This, however, is the Limited Edition Easter Box which doesn't renew.

This box was paid for by the author. (Check out our editorial guidelines to learn more about how we review boxes.)

First Impressions

The Easter box’s theme is called: "Who Dunnit?" and is based on the beloved 1988 movie: “Who Framed Roger Rabbit?”

Included in the box is an insert with each scent description.

Welcome to Toontown!

Some Bunny Loves You - Fortune Cookie Soap Tote Bag

The first item in this box of goodies is a custom printed tote bag with the logo of Fortune Cookie Soap, FCS, for short. It says, “Some Bunny Loves You” which is fitting for the theme of the box as well as the Easter holiday. It’s super cute but I received a nice tote bag from Smartass & Sass last month, so I’m gifting it to my mom with her Easter present in it.

I'm Not Bad... Bath Bomb

What a cute bath bomb! It looks just like Jessica Rabbit’s famous smile. It smells very nice but I’m not much of a bath bomb user so my dad volunteered to be my official bath bomb tester. He gave it a great review. Smells good, makes the water feel nice and doesn’t stain the tub.

According to the FCS, the scent is:

“...sugared wild berries, orange and passion flowers, warmed with vanilla and almond.”

Toontown Wax Bar

I’m always a fan of wax bars. I never burn candles because of my two precocious kitties, so I’m addicted to wax tarts. This wax bar melts easily and smells really nice! I only need a half of a block to get a good amount of fragrance, so it’ll last a while.

Of the scent, FCS says:

“...sugary citrus that blends effortlessly with sweet berries and sugared musk….”

Pattycake OCD Hand Sanitizer

I love FCS’s hand sanitizer because it always smells nice and I feel it’s less drying than other brands. This is a generous size, two ounces, so I’ll use it to refill my smaller, purse sized containers.

FCS describes the scent as:

“Sweet bananas and juicy kiwi are perfectly blended with lemon sugar and vanilla. ”

Knock 'Em Dead Toilet Spray

I love Fortune Cookie Soap’s toilet sprays. I’ve tried others on the market, but they always smell odd to me. Happily for me, FCS toilet sprays always smell lovely! Just a few spritzes into the toilet bowl actually blocks odor and even freshens the room.

FCS describes the scent as:

“...bright citrus, fresh air and warm woodsy notes.”

"Doomed" Clarifying Shampoo

Fortune Cookie Soap is becoming famous for their hair care products so it’s nice to see a clarifying shampoo. It smells wonderful, but I’ll admit, I’m hopelessly addicted to the R + Co that I first received in a FabFitFun box, so I didn’t try it. My bestie loves FCS shampoo and conditioner bars, so she’ll be getting this bottle.

The scent of this shampoo is described as:

" …crisp cucumber water and dew drops add freshness to blue agave sugar and cedarwood.”

As Good As Dipped Soap Slime

I just love FCS’s soap slime; bath time has never been so fun. It has a gooey, slimy feel that is fun to play with; once wetted it lathers nicely and rinses clean.

I just have to give extra kudos to FCS for their creativity, especially with this item. If you’ve seen "Who Framed Roger Rabbit", you probably remember the scene when the cartoon characters are being lowered to their doom into a vat of lethal goo. This container of soap slime is the perfect representation of it.

FCS describes the scent as:

“...concoction of dark, juicy blackberries, vanilla orchid and gloomy cashmere bubble around sticky sweet cotton and candy musk.”

"He Makes Me Laugh" Argan Hair Perfume

I love the idea of hair perfume! I already have a substantial collection of regular perfumes (thanks in part to subscription boxes like Margot Elena) so I’m happy to add one that is formulated just for hair. Plus, it contains Argan oil, so it’s very good for taming fly-aways. I also want to mention that it comes in a lovely glass bottle that looks really pretty on my bathroom counter!

FCS describes the scent as:

“...notes of bright sunkissed citrus and pink grapefruit, lemon, sweet roses and blushed peony petals.”

"Oh, Honey Bunny" Oats & Honey Facial Cleanser

Facial cleanser is a nice addition to this box. Plus, oats and honey are perfect ingredients in a facial cleanser. Oats are soothing to red, irritated skin and honey is said to be anti-microbial. It’s a good size container and it’s convenient that the cleanser comes in a pump bottle.

The scent is:

A wondrous sweet fragrance that is defined by golden honey nectar.”

Silosophy Whipped Lip Scrub

A whipped sugar lip scrub is always nice to have. The texture is just right: scrubby without being too rough. It’s especially nice when it smells as yummy as this one does.

FCS lists the scent as:

...spiced cake with caramelized carrots and sweet vanilla frosting….”

"Nice Boobytrap" Aloe Me Whipped Cream

This is probably my favorite item in the box! It’s a combination of two of FCS’s best products: whipped cream and aloe me. Together, they’re the perfect combination for hydration; the aloe soaks into the skin quickly and the whipped cream really locks that moisture in.

Not only does it leave my hands feeling very moisturized, it smells amazing.

FCS describes the scent as:

A luscious blend of sugar dipped berries, fluffy whipped cream, pink cotton candy and sexy noir.”

Two Bits! Sugar Scrub

Scrubs are always nice to get, especially in the spring and summer, because I’ve always been told to exfoliate before shaving. And it’s that time of year when shaving becomes a necessity. So I'm grateful for a nice big tub of wonderful smelling sugar scrub.

FCS describes the scent as:

“...ripe, juicy raspberries on one side and sun warmed lemon and lime zest on the other.”

The Verdict

This was another great box from Fortune Cookie Soap! Fortune Cookie Soap never disappoints so I’m excited for their big seasonal boxes. When I first saw the price, $81.74 (with shipping), I was a little worried. It seemed like a lot of money. But considering you receive 11 full size products (plus a tote bag), it’s actually a really good value.

To Wrap Up:

Can you get this box if you still sign up today? No, this is not a recurring box, and it is sold out. For these limited edition boxes (Christmas, Easter and Halloween), FCS sells them as pre-orders that go on sale months in advance of the holiday release.

Happily, Fortune Cookie Soap offers a monthly mini box. Sign up quickly, though, because there is a waiting list. Once you’re on the waiting list, you’ll be contacted when there is a spot open, and you’ll be given 24 hours to claim your spot.

Value Breakdown: The box costs $69.99 (plus $11.75 shipping), which means each of the 11 items (not counting the tote bag) cost an average of about $7.43 each. Considering these are full size items, that’s a fabulous value! Plus, with every box, you’ll be mailed a code for $10 off any order of $35 or more to be used on any items in their vast store. What do you think of this limited edition Fortune Cookie Soap Box?

It’s the coupon $10 off $25 or $10 off $35? You mentored it twice, each time different.

It’s a coupon for $10 off of $35 that you’re sent if you bought this one time, specialty box.

If you get the normal, monthly subscription, it’s $10 off of $25.
