Bath Bevy "Spa Day” Tubless April 2023 Review

Calming Lavender Shower Steamers, 2 ct - Retail Value $12

I love a simple lavender scent so I am always happy to receive shower steamers in this classic scent. While it’s not as refreshing or zingy as some other shower steamer scents, I love to reach for these when I am taking a shower before bed or I’m taking a shower before work and I’m stressed about the day ahead. The lavender essential oil will fill my shower and help me breath a little easier, and as long as the puck is out of the direct stream of water it will last for the full shower.

Lemongrass Shower Steamers, 2 ct - Retail Value $12

These shower steamers were a pleasant surprise. I don’t know what it is about how they were made, but they seem to have been infused with a little extra magic. The refreshing lemongrass scent is powerful and zingy (just how I like it), and the smell lingered in my bathroom even after my shower was over. I think that’s due in part to the fact that the staying power of this shower steamer was longer than normal- there was still remnants on my shower floor when I was done with my shower, and I decided to just leave it there for my next shower (I consider this a perk- more refreshing showers for me). In the meantime between showers, it sat there freshening the bathroom air and I loved it.

Spa Day Whipped Soap Scrub - Retail Value $15

Bath Bevy really knows their way around a lemongrass scent- I love this scent combo of avocado, lemongrass, and bergamot. If you're unfamiliar with soap scrubs, think fluffy whipped soap with scrubby sugar granules throughout that get you clean and leave your skin feeling soft (and smelling great) without being too abrasive. I'm a fan of the Bath Bevy formula and always look forward to the new scent combinations I'll get to experience each month.

Green Tea + Cucumber Body Lotion - Retail Value $12

I am a fan of cucumber flavored and scented things, and this lotion is a nicely balanced blend of cucumber and green tea. It’s not too heavy while still providing a good amount of moisture to my dry skin, and I think the mild cucumber and green tea scent is great for these spring months and it layers really nicely with a lot of my perfumes.

Natural Wooden Foot Brush

This is one of those simple but practical items I am super happy to see- I don’t actually own a foot brush like this so I’m happy to put it to good use (and I can use it on my hands, too, as I just got acrylic tips put on my nails and could use the brushes help making sure my nails remain clean after doing messy tasks). This foot brush paired with the spa day soap scrub and followed up with the green tea cucumber body lotion and some fresh socks was a real treat for my feet!

Green Daffodil Spa Day Tea Light Candles, 4 ct - Retail Value $8

Though these tea light candles also come in a “spa day” scent, they’re from the candle brand Green Daffodil and have a slightly different scent profile compared to the soap scrub sent in this month’s box. They’re scented with a blend of green tea, aloe, and lemon, which feels right on brand for all of the scents that have been sent in this box so far- and I think the dried blue Larkspur and calendula petals in the wax are so pretty!

Charcoal + Tea Tree Soap Bar - Retail Value $9

I love the refreshing zing of tea tree, and like that it’s paired with charcoal here for a deep cleanse. I passed this along to my partner, who is still on active duty orders with the National Guard and therefore is working out daily and sweating a ton. I think the charcoal and tea tree is the perfect combination to help cleanse his skin and prevent clogged pores that sometimes form (especially on his back when he has to go on rucks), and the tea tree scent of this soap smells so good.

Value – Was This Box Worth It?

The Cost: $43.21 per month + $7.95 shipping.

Value Breakdown: Everything in this box is handmade by Bath Bevy. All of the prices for everything except the foot brush add up to $68, which is more than the cost of the box plus shipping.

Key Takeaways

Even though I love baths and bath bombs, I quite enjoy the Tubless Bath Bevy subscription! This month's spa day box was a hit for me- I love all things spa and self-care, and I thought the scents were pleasant and the products performed nicely. The shower steamers are always a favorite of mine, but I really enjoyed the smell of the whipped soap scrub this month, too. One thing I like about this box is you can always expect cohesive products that will provide a lovely sensorial experience whether you use them separately or in a longer pampering session. If you love using artisan bath products but taking baths isn't your thing, I recommend checking out this Bath Bevy tubless subscription.
