Stitch Fix is a personal styling service. When you sign up, you take an in-depth survey of your sizes, your style, and your pricing preferences. After choosing when you’d like to receive your delivery, your stylist handpicks five items based on your preferences. The fee for this service is $20, and that includes free shipping and free returns. And if you keep any of the items they send you, you get to deduct the $20 fee from the total. (If you keep all five items, you also get a 25% discount!)

My items are reflective of my style and price preferences, so your Fix may be completely different.

First Impressions

Let's take a look at this month's selections, shall we?

What's Inside This Month's Fix

Josy 3/4 Sleeve Woven Dress by Vero Moda, Size 22w — Retail Value $81, on sale for $40.97

This dress was probably my favorite item in this month's Fix from Jami! I love that it has a retro, yet modern vibe-- plus it is so colorful! The material is a thinner accordion stretch fabric that is rather flouncy. It fits well, but tends to cling to my thighs at instances. Other than that issue, I loved the dress and the balloon like 3/4 sleeves. This is a great transitional dress going into the cooler spring months. this would look great with tights and booties or bare legged with Mary Janes or platform sandals. I opted to pair this cutie with magenta pink glittery flower power earrings and matching metallic western boots from Torrid to amp my kitschy style. This dress would be ideal for so many settings whether it be at the office or a Sunday brunch-- you will look gorgeous in this springy number!

Vivienne Knit Fitted Midi Dress in Burgundy by Nine Britton , Size 3x-Retail Value $58.00

Slip dresses and spaghetti strap dresses are back, babes! I have been sent this style dress by Nine Britton in different prints and it never fails to look great.  The jersey stretch fabric makes it incredibly easy to wear and the cut perfectly accentuates the body. The dress is so comfortable, but looks so put together! In the office, this could be paired with a white t-shirt underneath and oxfords/ combat boots for ultra 90s vibes or with a fitted blazer and heels. Though I like this dress, the color palette is more falling leaves and crisp air of Autumn than the bright restorative pastel shades of Spring. I did some simple styling and tossed on my new favorite shoes: Melissa jelly platforms in orange. They too are comfy as heck, so this whole outfit is perfect even to run errands with before meeting with friends for a quick bite to eat! Just toss on a jean jacket or fuzzy sweater depending on the weather!

All Day Long Sweater by Sanctuary, Size 2x, — Listed Value $89

My stylist, Jami, sent me a wide selection of items to choose from for this month's box. I opted to try the same Sanctuary sweaters in different colors. If you know me, you are aware I love a funky floral pattern. I simply couldn't resist giving them both a go! The material is soft and incredibly stretchy. It is ultra light weight too so it is perfect for layering in colder months. The black and white style is immensely versatile-- it will go with everything! I styled this version of the outfit with the faux leather ponte pants by Tribal that Jami also included along with checkerboard statement earrings from Fairly Odd as well as Converse platforms. Imagine how adorable this would look with a black and white checkered skirt, black and white tights like these from SNAG, and booties! This also could be a work staple at the office-- just style it with dress pants or a pencil skirt or on Fridays with your favorite jeans and sneakers. You can't go wrong!

All Day Long Sweater by Sanctuary, Size 2x, — Listed Value $89

Here we have the baby pink and black version of the same sweater from Sanctuary. Initially, my eyes played tricks on me and I kept thinking the black was a deep navy, but it is definitely black as mentioned on the site. This top is just as cute as the black and white style, just a slight bit sassier! The pink is such a sweet touch of color and contrasts fantastically against the black. I did similar styling with the pink, but this time wore my pink cateyes from Wherelight.com and the pink version of my fave Melissa brand jelly platforms. How precious would this look layered over a button down with pink dress pants at the office?

Pull On Faux Leather With Ponte Back Pants by Tribal, Size 3x  — Retail Value $68

We are heading into warmer and sunnier weather, so we got to get in our last few faux leather legging looks till Fall! These pants are unique in that the front is a faux leather material and the bank is a ponte material. I am not about this since I would be concerned about damaging the back while sitting. I just imagine snagging it on something and ripping the fabric or it just eventually cracking in the back. Smart move! The fit has a lot of give, especially due to the ponte back. These are elevated leggings, but will work well in a variety of different styled ensembles. Certainly, they looked great with both Sanctuary sweaters, but imagine these with your favorite vintage band shirt and an over sized flannel and booties. How about a more glamorous yet sultry outfit paired with a deep v-neck leopard print top, oversized rhinestone hoops, and wooden Bad Sandy from Grease platform heels for an elevated Peg Bundy look? You can also wear this in the office with a button down blouse, fitted blazer, and heels for a touch of sass. This will be your go to for the cooler weather months that will creep up again sooner than a lot of us would like!

The Verdict

This month's Stitch Fix had some excellent pieces! Jami sent some very thoughtful items. I absolutely loved both Sanctuary sweaters and the Vero Moda dress. We all know I am a sucker for florals! I am still trying to be a bit more financially responsible, so I returned all the items this month. My closet said thank you since it is about to explode as is! Upon sending the items back, I made sure to provide ample feedback on my opinions on the style and fit of each item to my stylist. I truly can't emphasize how important it is to provide that information on subscription sites. Always give feedback! Not only do I provide direct feedback, but I also "bookmark" or list pieces as favorites on the site for further direction. My stylists have sent bookmarked items to me in the past, so I always take the time to explore the site for possible dream pieces!

Not to risk being redundant,  but I also can't encourage enough that you provide your Pinterest and Instagram. These will be great assets to your stylist; you are providing visuals on your style, body shape, and how and what you prefer to adorn yourself. This all makes it an easier task for your stylist to compile your dream fix! Another plus is that you have the ability to personally select pieces for your Stitch Fix as well! Each month after providing my feedback and my my next box date is selected, I am given the option to choose five of the pieces from a dozen or so my stylist selects. I love this feature because it allows me to tailor the box to my liking.

This is a wonderful option if you are a self proclaimed shopaholic like moi! Were you also aware that Stitch Fix now allows you to shop on their site for clothing items, accessories, foundation garments, and also shoes without getting a monthly Stitch Fix sent to you? This is ideal if you aren't interested in getting a monthly Fix. You can check out their site and buy their in-house brands outright! With all these ways to enjoy Stitch Fix, you can't lose!

Can you still get these pieces if you sign up today? Stitch Fix curates its Fixes based on each individual’s preferences as well as what’s available. What you get might not be the same as what I got, but you also might get something that fits your style and body even better than the looks above! Sign up and see what they choose for you!

Value Breakdown: This personal styling service has a $20 styling fee with free shipping and returns. The total retail value of the items inside is $385.00. The cost of each item is listed alongside it, above, but if I choose to keep at least 5 items, I get a 25% discount. The $20 cost of the box would also be applied to the purchase, meaning I’d end up spending $268.75 for the whole box. Ultimately, that’s about a 31% discount!

You look amazing in everything, as anyways. I especially love the Nina Brolitton dress on you and would say that orange floral and the spaghetti straps makes it more of a year round dress. But I would see it prefect for the cooler months too. I would have a hard time psrting with that one if I were you. 🥰

I loved how everything looks on you. Your stylist nailed it! I have had the luck of having an amazing stylish at Stitch Fix. I do provide detailed feedback and express what Im looking for every time I order a fix. Every time I wear something that I got through a fix I get tons of compliments.

What I dislike about Stitch is that I purchase items at regular price but they are on sale on other sites.

Hi Nicole, love the Nine Britton dress (and agree that, seasonally, brighter colors would be more appropriate) and the fit, style, how and where it hugs are perfect but I AM IN LOVE with those Melissa shoes! And then I keep reading and see that you got a 2nd color, too. Soooo jealous, gurl. If you were a half size, would you go up or down?

Great review, as always. Enjoy spring!
