Cat Lady Box is a monthly subscription box for cat ladies (or anyone who is crazy about cats)! The $34.99 per month Cat Lady Box has 2-3 cat-themed items – wearables, items for the home, books, etc., while the $39.99 per month Crazy Cat Lady Box contains everything from the Cat Lady Box plus a few items just for cats.

This is a review of the Crazy Cat Lady Box.

First Impressions

As soon as the box arrives, you know your cat-loving heart is in for a good time. Everything arrives in a brown cardboard box with a black cat silhouette on it. Once you open it up, you can expect to find anything from cat-themed jewelry, clothes, home decor, and more. If you subscribe to the Crazy Cat Lady box, you'll also get a few treats for your furbaby, too.

This box does come with an info sheet, and each month they feature custom artwork. This month's artist was Jami Moss Wise.

Goose was really into investigating what was in this month's box.

Then when I was trying to photograph the shirt, he decided it was the perfect spot to plop down. He even reached over and grabbed a toy. Cats!

The Breakdown – What’s Inside This Crazy Cat Lady Box

First, let's meet the cat that will be helping me to review this box. If you've been reading my MSA reviews for a while, you may remember my old cat, Duchess. Duchess is no longer here with me, and after a few months, I felt ready to get another cat companion. Meet Sir Goose! I adopted him when he was one month and twenty-two days old, and he was 2.2 pounds. Now he is almost two and he loves toys—I have yet to find a toy he won't play with.

Goose turns two in April, and he weighs in at thirteen pounds! He's not overweight though, per his vet- he is just a proportionally big boy.

Follow Your Butterflies Shirt - Retail Value $22.99

You can expect a wearable of some kind in every Crazy Cat Lady Box, and I honestly love these tees- they're cut long in the torso for a comfortable fit, and they're cozy enough to wear as pjs (what I've been doing with this follow your butterflies shirt) or to lounge or exercise in. I love how the light green shade of this shirt brings out the green in Goose's eyes!

Raining Cats Umbrella - Retail Value $22.99

There is no such thing as having too many umbrellas when you live in south Louisiana. I keep them in my car, at work, and right by my door, and I still find myself without an umbrella on occasion when the skies decide to pour down rain. It rains too dang much here, and I am really trying to manifest a new job that would allow me to relocate to a more temperate climate (send your good vibes, the struggle has been rough). This super useful umbrella that's decorated with cats will keep me dry until that dream comes true, though, and then hopefully soon I can pack it up and take it with me for a new adventure.

Cat Lady Lunch Tote - Retail Value $16.99

I have been NEEDING a lunch tote like this- I have been trying hard to bring leftovers to work for lunch, but it's been awkwardly storing Tupperware containers in my purse or in large reusable shopping bags. This insulated lunch tote is the perfect size, fits the Rubbermaid containers I typically use, and has a pocket in the front for extra useful-ness.

Purrfect Rainbow Catnip Toy - Listed Value $4.99

This toy was the one Goose initially gave the most attention to once the box was unpacked- I think it's because of the catnip stuffed inside of the fuzzy cloud at the end of the rainbow.

I've caught him playing with this a few different times, and at some point Goose brought into the living room because it's currently near my couch and I didn't put it there.

Rubber Ducky Catnip Toy - Retail Value $4.99

I love this blue rubber ducky toy- I think it's the cutest thing. This was the very first toy Goose sniffed when I was unpacking the box, but the rainbow was getting all of the love the first day or so.

Sometimes that's just the way it is with toys, but I later caught Goose on two different occasions playing with this (and this is another toy he brought into the living room from the bedroom).

I die when Goose gives me this look while he lays on his back and his body is all curved. He is near maximum potential of cuteness when he does this, in my professional opinion. And how he holds his paws like that?

Key Takeaways

Cat Lady Box is seriously supreme at sending you items that are actually useful, and I cannot get enough of it. I probably need two or three lunch totes because of who I am as a person (meaning that this one was already forgotten in the fridge at work... oops), but that and the umbrella are going to get very regular use in this household. I find the shirt to be extra charming this month, and if you couldn't tell by the photos Goose loves the toys. All in all, March was a great box for us. If you have cats and/or like cat-themed things, I recommend checking this subscription box out. If you're looking for fun cat-themed items you can enjoy around your home and share with your feline friend, you're going to see a lot more value in this box than someone who is going strictly off of listed values (or who desires brand name products in a box).

Other Things You Should Know

Where does the Cat Lady Box ship to? The US (free to the lower 48, an additional fee for Alaska or Hawaii), the UK, and Canada.

Do I have to have a cat to enjoy this subscription? Nope! If you love cats but don't have one of your own, that doesn't mean you have to miss out on the fun- you can subscribe to the Cat Lady Box, which will come with the same products as the Crazy Cat Lady Box sans the cat toys.

Can I still get this box if I sign up today? No. Sign up before the end of March to receive the April box.

I am a staunch believer that pineapple doesn’t belong on pizza and when I’m not working as a family law attorney I enjoy hiking the Louisiana trails (alligator sightings are a favorite!) or relaxing with Duchess, my cat. I’m a sucker for anything labeled a mystery box and I’ve never met a bath bomb I didn’t like.
