KND by Kinder Beauty is a new quarterly lifestyle box dedicated to delivering non-toxic, vegan, and cruelty-free products straight to your door each month. It is compassionately curated by Evanna Lynch and Daniella Monet, two animal lovers who also advocate for healthier beauty choices. Every detail of this subscription is eco-conscious, from its 100% recyclable and biodegradable box to the eco-friendly soy-based ink used on the packaging.

For $64.95 per quarter, you'll receive up to ten 100% vegan, non-toxic, and cruelty-free products. Items range from home goods, health supplements, beauty products, and accessories, plus other fun finds from the coolest ethical brands.

This box was sent to us at no cost for review. (Check out our editorial guidelines to learn more about how we review boxes).

First Impressions

My box arrived bursting with so many new and cool finds; everything was packaged securely with packing materials that are made from 100% recycled materials. There was also a note from founders Andrew Bernstein, Daniella Monet, and Evanna Lynch introducing the subscription.

This booklet has some of the answers to the questions you might have about the products included in this quarter's box. It is a fun and colorful read, and I like that they include tips for how to make your life extra cozy with your new stuff. For more information on each item and its uses, click here.

What's Inside This Box

The Good Patch Dream Sleep Patch - Retail Value - $3.00

I never considered using a product like this to help me sleep, but it is a genius idea. Using an adaptogenic, restorative wellness blend of melatonin, hops, and valerian root, the dream patch works its magic for up to 8-12 hours. I used this last night and had a very restful seven hours of sleep. Honestly, I've been sleeping like a rock since baby number two came along in September, but I did notice that I felt very well-rested when I woke up.

Hear Me Raw The Hydrator with Prickly Pear+ - Retail Value - $42.00

The cold weather has wrecked my skin and lips in such a short amount of time. I've had my eye on a few moisturizers to pack an extra punch of moisture to my sad, dry skin, but now that I have this beauty, I don't have to spend the extra money. Prickly pear and 23 other key ingredients including maqui berry, Mexican poppy stem cells, coconut water, cucumber, and watermelon oil will make your skin feel supple and hydrated just after one use; my skin felt so soft after one application, and with prolonged use, this will hopefully help the elasticity of my skin over time.

Clevr Sleeptime SuperLatte, 12oz - Retail Value - $28.00

I typically hate the taste of health supplement drinks, but this one is quite good! I wouldn't order it at Starbucks for the taste, but to get all of the healthy sleep benefits, I'll happily down a cup of this every night! Adaptogens and other sleep herbs like valerian root and passionflower help you get restful sleep without causing any drowsiness in the AM. I mixed three tablespoons with hot water and blended it with my new frother, and it tasted slightly sweet and very creamy. There is a slight vanilla/caramel flavor with no chalky aftertaste.

One serving is three tablespoons, so I should be able to get 14 servings from this 12oz bag.

Clevr Frother for Perfect Prep - Retail Value - $18.00

If you're looking for a foamy, frothy beverage, this utensil with get you there and fast! I was shook by the power in this small tool which actually came fully charged. In one click of a button and about 30 seconds of holding this gadget, my Superlatte was fully blended.

I love that this is rechargeable. Pro tip: only fill the mug 2/3 full to prevent spillage!

Kinder Beauty Glass Mug - Retail Value - $18.00

I can't help but love delicate drinkware. I have a few of these double-walled glass mugs, and they are some of my favorite vessels to drink from. Of course, I'll have to steer clear of the dishwasher and microwave, but it is worth the (very careful) hand wash. This mug is fragile; I probably shouldn't have used the frother inside of it, but I didn't have any problems this time. This mug will house about 8oz of liquid comfortably.

Earth Harbor Island Jade Gemstone Facial Therapy Mask - Retail Value - $42.00

This mask just screams "fancy lady!" and I love it. I was skeptical at first, thinking it was more gimmicky than anything (sorry not sorry, I am a Capricorn, so I am just wired with skepticism), but no, this feels wonderful over my eyes. It is so cooling and has a very comfortable weight to it. I could easily replace any eye mask with this, which will end up saving me a lot of money in the long run.

Just kicking back with my new mask and my bed buddy shoulder wrap. Does it get any better than this? The stones in this mask are made from ethically sourced jade gemstone.

HigherDose Chill Chews - Retail Value - $39.00

Magnesium has helped me so much recently with my restless legs at night (ugh, just watching myself type that out made me feel so old!), and magnesium mixed with L-Theanine in these little berry chews helps to harness a sense of calm at bedtime. The serving size is 3 chews, so this holds a 30-day supply. It has a yummy berry flavor, so I definitely won't mind adding these to my bedtime routine.

Franklin & Whitman KND Candle - Retail Value - $26.00

What is a cozy box theme without the inclusion of a candle? Tobacco, white santal, vanilla, and sandalwood make this candle the epitome of cozy, and I can't stop sniffing it. It is made from soy waxes featuring a natural cotton wick; Franklin and Whitman made this candle in my home state of Pennsylvania, and it is a delight to burn.

Barefoot Scientist Sleep On It Overnight Moisturizing Gel Socks - Retail Value - $22.00

If you've read any of my previous reviews, you might know that I pride myself in having a set of gorgeous feet. I do have hubris for my feet, but it is because I take the utmost care of them, including using products like these gel socks. These were essential during my latest pregnancy. At eight months pregnant, I could barely reach my feet to lotion them up, so my husband helped to put these babies on me almost every night; they kept my feet supple and attractive, haha! I love having a pair of these lying around, so I'll absolutely be putting them to good use.

Jubel Naturals Sleep Tight Roll On - Retail Value - $13.00

oil roll on

Calm your mind and spirit by rolling on this blend of ylang-ylang, sandalwood, lavender, jasmine, vanilla, and clary sage before bed. Aromatherapy always helps to soothe my mind, and this blend will help to melt away stress and anxiety to get you into sleep mode.

The Verdict

The first KND by Kinder Beauty Box was a smash hit filled with so many high-quality vegan, non-toxic, and cruelty-free finds. My favorite item this quarter is the Earth Harbor Face Mask, something new and totally unique to me. Kinder Beauty has always been a great subscription if you're looking to broaden your horizons with cruelty-free and vegan beauty options, and this new lifestyle box takes it to another level. I can't wait to see what next quarter has to offer! This month’s box has a retail value of $251, which is an excellent value for its cost of $64.95.

That mask looks like it would be so soothing during a migraine.

Also, I am a little embarrassed to admit this, but until I saw that mug I thought this box was called “Kinder” (pronounced like in Kindergarten). I have no idea why because that would make no sense. 🙃

I always pronounce it that way! Kinder, meaning children in German. Can’t help it.

I had a mixed experience with this one. My whisk arrived damaged – with the plate holding the motor pulled off of the body of the device. It still works though! My jade mask was dirty inside the packaging and out. I wasn’t able to gift it like I planned. And the writing on the mug is already almost gone. The candle and sleep latte were my favorite items by far. I’ll give them another chance next season.

Looks like so great stuff! Do you think the superlatte could be blended into another drink (smoothie, for example)?

I haven’t tried that yet, but I bet it would totally work 🙂

This box looks great but I didn’t get it because I literally have everything, either the exact product or a similar brand. I wish they didn’t add products that are so common in other sub boxes. I’ve received the socks and frother from FFF. The patches and glassware from Bespoke. The roller and moisturizer, albeit different brands from IGBP.

Nonetheless, I’m eagerly waiting to see spoilers for their next box.
