This formula is brand new! Literally, it was just released on 11/24. How cool is it to get first dibs with our Beauty Heroes subscription? Serums are generally thinner gels or oils, so this cream serum is super unusual and interesting. The first thing I noticed when I cracked the lid (aside from that beautiful peach color!) is the marvelous scent. It is floral and fresh, with notes of white jasmine petals and tart citrus rind. This is a peptide-focused serum that uses a proprietary blend of 5 different botanical peptides that help strengthen your skin and boost collagen. Despite being filled with moisturizing ingredients like marula, baobab, and tamanu, it manages to be incredibly lightweight while still giving skin a velvet finish and a plump moisturized feel. I am pretty much in love with this serum and I have been using it day and night (it plays well under makeup!). My favorite application is with the other item that arrived in our box this month...
Josh Rosebrook Advanced Hydration Mask, 1.5 oz - Retail Value $70

What a dream this mask is. This is one of those Josh Rosebrook formulas I tried ages ago and it is still so freaking great. I love that it was part of a winter Beauty Heroes curation because it is a dream for dry skin. You can apply this mask to your face and leave it be for 15-25 minutes before wiping it off with a dry cloth. OR you can use it like I do: as a sleep mask! That's right, I just apply a layer and go to bed. I don't feel the need to remove it, especially with the air in my house being so dry. This is the last step in my winter PM routine these days. Cleanse, serum, sleep mask. I always wake up with skin that looks great and feels amazing too. The formula behind this magic is a mix of fatty botanical oils (sunflower, jojoba, avocado) and butters from shea and mango seed. This balm literally locks my moisture in at night. The beautiful blue color is from blue tansy and the notes of lavender, frankincense, and rose is the perfect aroma to drift off to sleep with.
Verdict
This month, my Beauty Heroes had a value of $140 and is one of the best this year. I love to see a December box put a pretty bow on an entire year of quality skincare deliveries. Occasionally (though rarely) I will scoop up a few extra Beauty Hero boxes to gift or just stash for myself for later, and this is one of those curations. I can't imagine any subscriber not being absolutely thrilled with this final Beauty Heroes box of 2022.
