Beachly is a quarterly seasonal box for women or men, stocked with apparel, accessories, and lifestyle items that have a beach-forward vibe and keep you feeling close to the ocean even if you're landlocked. Each box costs $99, but will have a value of over $250 featuring 6-8 items from well-known brands like Aloha, Havaianas, Roxy, Billabong, Nixon, DIFF Eyewear, and more.

Winter 2022 Items

This Beachly winter box is chock-full of warm and cozy items to keep you snuggly all winter long and I have to admit, I was pretty excited! This winter box also contains three customizable choices for subscribers, with one being a "this or that" and the other being a color option. I'm really loving that Beachly is offering more customization choices as this really helps the box to feel more personalized and guarantees you should get something you love! This particular winter box had multiple items that I'll be using not just during the winter, but throughout the year.

Now, let's get to the good stuff!

BONDI BEACH BLANKET by Thula Tula - Listed Value $129 (Customizable)

No question about it...this was hands down my favorite item in the box. It's warm, soft, cuddly, and the perfect addition to a winter subscription box! I was actually really surprised at the heft of this blanket and it definitely does the job in keeping you warm. It is 51" x 67", so it's not really going to be a shareable blanket, but its the perfect size for one person. Plus, after you feel how soft it is, you won't want to share it anyway! The color is a soft muted blue with a white design that resembles (but no overwhelmingly so) large palm fronds. It also has a soft white fringe detail on either end of the blanket which really adds a nice touch.

The Bondi Beach Blanket is a customizable choice, so if you are a big blanket fanatic like I am, I highly recommend this if you can get it. The throw blanket is the perfect size and color to add a little winter decor into your living room and is a warm and versatile blanket to boot!

SEA BREEZE QUILTED JACKET by Amuse Society - Listed Value $129 (Customizable)

This is the second customizable choice if you decide not to go with the Bondi Blanket. It's not as warm as it looks, but if you don't live in a super cold area of the country, then this could be the perfect accessory to throw over a long sleeve shirt and jeans. It runs just a tiny bit big so that you can wear it over your clothes as a jacket should, so be sure to order your correct size.

The jacket is a periwinkle blue and looks great with lighter jeans. The only thing I really didn't like about this jacket was the pockets. It does have them on either side, however, I found that the pockets were placed just a little bit too far back. I had a hard time reaching them and had to stretch my hands back there. Perhaps I just have really odd arm lengths, but I found that to be a bit annoying. You can also see how the jacket bunches in the back a little when I finally did get my hands into the pockets. Overall, I thought the blanket was by far a better choice given the two.

MONSTERA SWEATSHIRT by Post Surf - Listed Value $60 (Customizable)

This was a great addition for anyone that chose the blanket over the quilted jacket in case you were hoping for a warm piece of attire to throw on. You can always find me in a sweatshirt when I'm lazing around the house during the winter, so this was a pleasant surprise to find in the box. The Monstera pattern is cute; however, the color options are not my favorite. I find that winter is pretty muted already, so I really look for more intense colors when it comes to my clothing (dark greens, reds, blacks, oranges, etc.) The lighter, more pastel colors usually get relegated to the back of my closet for spring.

The sizing was accurate and the length was perfect and came down past my waist. I'm kind of over those sweaters and sweatshirts that are so short that they show skin every time I raise my arms. After two kids, I'm not comfortable showing that area off after I've already squeezed it into a pair of skinny jeans.

BIRDS OF PARADISE SCARF by Block + Ink - Listed Value $45

This is an adorable scarf and my second favorite item in the box! I will definitely be adding this to my outfits! However, I think this would have been better suited for a fall or spring box. This isn't keeping anyone warm in colder temperatures and will definitely look out of place thrown around a thick sweater. I'll be putting this one away to wear in the spring when the slightly warmer temps call for a lightweight accessory scarf!

The scarf is made from a sheer lightweight fabric and has an adorable bird of paradise print all over it. It looks great with jeans and a tee-shirt, but could easily be worn over a nicer outfit for a date night out. Honestly, this is a great addition and I'm really happy Beachly included this in the box. As mentioned, it does seem a bit out of place for a winter box, but it's so cute that I honestly don't even care!

HYDRATING SERUM by Sun Bum - Listed Value $22

I live in both a cold and dry climate, so Sun Bum's hydrating serum is going to be a lifesaver this winter. Every year my skin gets so dry that it looks like I've aged a decade. I have to really stay on top of moisturizing every part of my body if I want to prevent this unflattering display, and the Sun Bum hydrating serum is a great way to do that. I'm also a huge fan of this brand, so it's always welcome and I'm willing to try anything they put out there.

This serum has a lightweight feel and leaves the skin pretty silky after putting it on. It is an absolutely fantastic moisturizing option for the winter. The main ingredients in this serum are banana, brown algae, and niacinamide, and it's meant to be put on immediately after cleansing the face. I'm pretty picky about what I put on my face (I rarely use foundation make-up and I never use heavy creams), but this serum passes the test and I'm pretty happy it was included in this Beachly box.

MONSTERA FUZZY SOCKS by Salt Sisters - Listed Value $18

You never can go wrong putting warm fuzzy socks in a winter subscription box. I mean seriously, is anyone ever going to be angry about that? These fuzzy socks are also a dark periwinkle blue color with the Monstera leaf design on the outside. They aren't as long as some of the other fuzzy socks I own, which is actually kind of nice because eventually my legs get too hot and I end up pushing the socks down towards my ankles or just taking them off entirely. These come up just past my ankle and act more like actual socks...that just happen to be fuzzy and adorable.

SAND-SPECKLED SEASHELL TRAY by Beachly - Listed Value $25

This is a small, but cute little addition to the Beachly Winter Box, however, I'm not sure I'll be able to use it much. It might work to put on your nightstand or next to your sink when you need to take your rings or watch off, but for me it's too flat, and it makes me nervous that if I accidentally hit it, my rings will fly off into the sink. I think this would have been fantastic if it had been more bowl-like. You could maybe use it to put some decorative soap on it in the bathroom or even a tea light for some added beachy decor, but for me, it's not super useful.

Verdict

The Beachly subscription box is always one of my favorites and I do feel like this winter box gives subscribers some great options. I absolutely love the blanket and think it might be one of the best items I've received this entire year. The scarf is also great and even though I can't use it during these colder months, it will be my go-to accessory for the spring. I was also pleasantly surprised by the Sun Bum serum and how soft it left my skin feeling afterwards. The only thing I'm not completely happy with is the seashell tray and the quilted jacket, but thankfully one of those was customizable and the other will end up doubling as something to put into a hostess gift bag this holiday season.

In a nutshell? I'm a bit of a walking contradiction!

I love traveling the world and stepping out of my comfort zone, but I can also be a complete introvert and will be totally happy hanging out at home with my family for days on end. I enjoy working out and going for runs or HIIT classes at the gym, but I also have no problem binging on a bag of cheetos and a glass of wine (which pairs surprisingly well together!). I love how I look dressed up and ready to hit the town, but am much more comfortable in a pair of sweats while watching The Mandolorian with my husband and two little boys. I love trying exotic foods and the different spices and textures that come with it, but my all-time-favorite meal is a juicy cheeseburger with fries.

So, maybe I should just call myself well-rounded!? Whatever it is, I keep an open mind about everything and am always on the hunt for a new and exciting adventure!

Oh my gosh, my box is super!! I got:
1) Jacket which runs large but is fine for winter wear
2) Green sweatshirt, also runs large but I have lost a large amt. of wt.
3) Blanket!! I didn’t order or expect this. SUPER soft and pretty!!
4) The BOP scarf. Really pretty with peach and some pinks.
5) Sun Bum Serum
6) Monstera thick socks
7) Really pretty tinned candle with seashells and sea glass on wax.
8) House slippers in a green plush tropical print- fit like a glove! SO cute!!

All in all, I believe I got some extra items as a new subscriber to both the beauty box and the women’s wearables subscriptions at the same time.
Beachly is a FABULOUS box and they were extremely generous and lovely.

Getting this box while I am dealing with a serious illness was like a huge ray of sunshine shining through the clouds. 🙂

I hope everyone gets ” treated” unexpectedly at a time when they need it by a company going out of their way to be so nice.

Season’s blessings,
Lilly

Did you size up in the sweatshirt? According the the size chart it runs small so I sized up, but it looks great on you so maybe a size up will be too large.

Kelly Wright

Mine is a small and I usually wear a small. It was actually a little loose on the sides also and definitely not form fitting. I would say go with your correct size, but if you fall in between two sizes then maybe size up in case of shrinkage in the wash!
