Bath Bevy is a subscription box for those who love self-care. Each month subscribers will receive a thoughtfully curated box featuring bath bombs, bath salts, and other bath products from various indie brands. If you aren't a fan of baths, Bath Bevy even has a Tubless subscription option, where you'll receive handmade bath and body goodness without a single item that requires running a bath. When you subscribe to Bath Bevy, you can expect to bathe in luxury no matter if you're standing in a shower or sitting in a tub.

This is a review of the standard Bath Bevy box, which sends products for bath lovers.

This box was sent to us at no cost for review. (Check out our editorial guidelines to learn more about how we review boxes.)

First Impressions

This subscription comes packaged in a blue and white box, and when you open it you find the items thoughtfully tucked inside of sizzle and tissue paper and sealed with a sticker. You can really tell Bath Bevy pays attention to detail by how they pack their box. There is also an info sheet detailing the products included.

Bath Bevy "Aloha” August 2022 Review

Mandarin Coconut Bath Bomb - Estimated Value $8 (linked to similar bath bombs in different scents)

I love citrus and coconut scents, and I love eating oranges and coconut. Clearly, this bath bomb was designed with me in mind. When I added it to water, it shot off streams of orange and white color in a way that made me think of an orange creamsicle, and it was enjoyable experience- the strong citrus notes made for a very uplifting fragrance.

Whipped Up Wonderful Watermelon Bubble Taffy, 6 ct - Retail Value $12.99

I've received this bubble taffy from Whipped Up Wonderful in one other Bath Bevy box before, and I'm very happy to see it again in this month's box in the juicy watermelon scent. The bubble taffy is the perfect way to take bubble bath with you when you travel- you don't have to worry about liquid bubble bath spilling, and you don't have to worry about a bulkier bubble bar taking up space or TSA getting concerned if you choose to crumble your bubble bar before packing it. Each cellophane-wrapped "taffy" is enough for a generous mountain of bubbles, and I have an upcoming trip that involves a hotel stay with a jacuzzi tub that I will definitely be bringing this for.

Seaside and Sunshine Aloha Shimmer Soap Bar, 4 oz - Retail Value $10

This is a glycerin-based soap bar that's made with coconut milk and coconut oil, so while I typically dislike soap bars, I was pleasantly surprised with how hydrating I found this to be. The bar of soap itself is very pretty, too- it has swirls of different shades of pink, and the shimmer comes from gold mica. Fragrance-wise this stays on theme with scent notes of tropical flowers, pineapple, mango, and coconut- it smells delicious.

Hawaiian Punch Whipped Soap Scrub - Estimated Value $15 (linked to the same product in similar fragrances)

You can expect a jar of whipped soap scrub in almost every month's box from Bath Bevy- I don't mind it, though I don't go through it as fast as they send it (my friends that I share it with don't complain). If you've never tried a whipped soap or whipped soap scrub, you're missing out- I find it makes sudsing up a lot more fun than holding a bar of soap because of the whipped texture, and while there is a mix of sugar in the formula, the "scrubby" part of the experience is gentle and not too abrasive. The Hawaiian Punch scent of this month's soap scrub was sweet and fun, and sparked a hint of nostalgia- I haven't drank Hawaiian Punch in quite a while!

Tropical Peach Bath Bomb - Estimated Value $8 (linked to similar bath bombs in different scents)

One of my favorite candies are those gummy peach rings, and that's what this bath bomb reminded me of. Spoiler alert: I loved it. This orange bath bomb created vivid orange waters, but I love how my Bath Bevy bath bombs never stain my bath tub.

Beach Bum Body Lotion

I think this is the first time this box has sent us a body lotion? I may be wrong, but I do appreciate how this box always seems to add something new or fun while remaining true to their core theme of bath-centered products. This body lotion smelled really good- I definite would take soap scrubs and bath bombs in this scent blend of açaí, coconut, tonka bean, sandalwood, and musk. The warmth from the sandalwood was absolutely lovely, and I wasn't expecting it in such a tropical-fruit themed box.

Value – Was This Box Worth It?

The Cost: $43.21 per month + $7.95 shipping.

Value Breakdown: Everything in this box is handmade by Bath Bevy. I can normally look up all of the prices online, but their website seemed to be going through edits and I couldn't find some of the items. Everything except the body lotion adds up to an estimated $53.99. Since this box costs $43.21 and there were 6 items this month, each item costs around $8.52 (including the cost of shipping).

Key Takeaways

I thought this month's Bath Bevy box smelled so good- my nose and I are always down for a tropical theme, and Bath Bevy did a really nice job. My favorite items in this month's box are the body lotion because I love the scent and the bubble taffy because I love having portable, high-quality bubble bath I can pack in a suitcase without fear of it spilling. I enjoyed all of the items, though- Bath Bevy does a good job creating artisan products under their label, and whenever they feature another brand it is always a special treat. If you don't take baths, don't let that deter you from subscribing- they also offer a "tubless" subscription offer. This is the subscription for someone looking to add a little extra luxury to their monthly bath routine with the added bonus of being surprised by the products curated around a fun theme. If you're a fan of artisan bath products or just love self-care, this is a subscription box worth checking out.

I am a staunch believer that pineapple doesn’t belong on pizza and when I’m not working as a family law attorney I enjoy hiking the Louisiana trails (alligator sightings are a favorite!) or relaxing with Duchess, my cat. I’m a sucker for anything labeled a mystery box and I’ve never met a bath bomb I didn’t like.
