Happy heat wave, every bunny! Wherever you're located, hope you've got a pool nearby and a frozen drink in your hand.

Rocksbox is a jewelry styling and rental service. Members pay a flat rate every month to get unlimited access to the Rocksbox collection and the option to buy whatever they love at a discounted price. Each month, Rocksbox will curate sets of three pieces to send your way, including at least one piece from your ever-growing wishlist. Members can keep and wear the three pieces they receive for as long as they want, or they can switch out sets whenever they'd like. Rocksbox also offers a monthly credit so you can buy the pieces for less.

This is a review of the monthly plan for $21, which includes shipping to the US only.

This box was sent to us at no cost for review. (Check out our editorial guidelines to learn more about how we review boxes.)

Just like other subscription boxes, when I signed up for Rocksbox I had to set up a style profile that asked me questions like my metal preference, and which necklace, earring, bracelet, and ring styles I liked the most.

Let's check out this month's delivery!

What I Received

Luv AJ The Architectural Statement Hoops - Retail Value $98, Member Price $94

About this item: Luv AJ's Architectural Statement Hoops are designed in shiny, hammered 18K gold over brass with an open back. They measure at 1.5" and they are pretty heavy.

Condition: Excellent.

Review: I wore these earrings soooo much and considered buying them until I saw the price. Eek. My only complaint is they're a bit heavy and left a grey mark on my earlobes. Be vewwwy quiet, I'm hunting wabbits.

COCOACENTRIC Tribe Feather Necklace - Retail Price $48, Member Price $46

About this item: The first of two COCOACENTRIC items is a 14k gold over brass necklace that's an extra-long design with a thin feather charm. This lightweight, gold snake chain necklace measures at 32" long with a 2" extender.

Condition: Excellent.

Review: I have a pair of Mignonne Gavigan fan earrings that kind of matched the necklace, so I wore them together. I had a hard time with this necklace because it's so long and didn't seem to go very well with anything in my closet, including my rentals. It's probably better for someone who's a bit more boho than me.

COCOACENTRIC Sola Turquoise Studs - Retail Value $48, Member Price $46

About this item: This is my second COCOACENTRIC item of the week and my fourth all around. These medium weight turquoise earrings are created of natural stone with 14k gold plating over brass.

Condition: Excellent.

Review: I think they're beautiful, but they don't go with much in my closet. They remind me a bit of some of the fancy rocks my brother and I collected when we were little.

The Verdict

My bunny just got back from the salon so he's warming up in the sun and judging me harshly. As for Rocksbox, I am not going to purchase any of this month's items, but I am hoping to find something great next month and make a commitment. But I have a complaint about RB... I don't like their website. I don't think it's very user friendly and they need more pics of a model, or real people, wearing these designs. I'm noticing a lot of comments about how they can't tell what it looks like based on just one picture on a model, or none at all!

Value Breakdown: Rocksbox membership costs $21 per month. At retail, the three pieces would cost me $245. With my Rocksbox discounts and the member pricing including the buy-all-three-items discount, the $21 of Shine Credit (the membership fee for the month, which goes towards your purchases), and the $10 buy-all-three discount, that price drops to $214.

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Every box is different and packed based on the customer's tastes and what's available at the time. You can, however, help guide the Rocksbox stylists and add your favorite pieces to your wishlist!

If shopping were an Olympic sport, I’d be a gold medalist. And while my bank account often feels the crunch, I just can’t stop buying secondhand clothing and accessories, under-the-radar designer goods, stuffed animal unicorns (I have about 75), and toys for my pet bunny rabbit. After 20 years of city slicking in NYC and DC, I now have a car and love to tour the Virginia countryside looking for vintage shops, undiscovered wineries and breweries, historic sites, and Thai restaurants—I’m addicted to Thai food. I never leave home without a spare phone charger because I love horror movies and therefore have an irrational fear of being stranded somewhere with a dead battery.

Doesn’t matter how clean people are. Big ol Yuk factor putting used earrings in , worn by someone you don’t know.

Even when I buy new earrings, I always wipe the post or ear wire with a cotton pad soaked with rubbing alcohol. I don’t know if what I’m buying is a return or has been tried on by half a dozen people.

LOL! I understand and that thought did cross my mind. I lived in some rat and roach holes in NYC so maybe I’m just a little immune to ick factors sometimes.

I would assume they sterilize the posts between users.

Yes, they do, but thinking about it is a little icky!

Love that tie dye dress on you!

It’s Tarte and I bought it from Le Tote. The pink dress is in tomorrow’s RTR review.

I definitely agree about the website. It’s so frustrating to see just the stock photo of the jewelry and be expected to translate that to yourself, even with the measurements.

The site is clunky and annoying! The filter process isn’t good, they need more pics, and if you click on one section and then go back, you lose your place which makes me aggravated and leave the site. They’re part of one of the biggest jewelry companies in the world so they have the money… I’m not sure why it’s such a mess.
