Fortune Cookie Soap Box is a monthly subscription for $16.95.  Included in the subscription is a $10 off $25 coupon code.

Each box contains 1 full and 3 deluxe sized items.  Quarterly, though, they send out 6 deluxe-sized items.  This was a regular month.

This box was paid for by the author. (Check out our editorial guidelines to learn more about how we review boxes.)

First Impressions

This month's theme is called: "Summer Soiree." And it’s curated to make you feel like you’re relaxing by the pool, even if you don’t own one!

Pool Time; Let's Jump In!

Soak Up The Sun - Twinkle Tonic Exfoliating Toner - Retail Value $12.99

Every regular box comes with a full sized product, and this is that item for this month’s box.

I’m excited to see this type of product again. And it’s very timely. While this toner is meant for your face, and does wonders for it, a secret that my bestie discovered is that it works well post-shaving. And since summer is the season of shaving, I’m glad to have a full size bottle of it.

According to Fortune Cookie Soap (FCS for short), the scent is:

“Bright juicy oranges, fresh tart berries, blended with delicate florals and white petals.”

Their website boasts that it contains “alpha hydroxy acids, organic white willow bark extract, organic aloe leaf juice, tea tree essential oil.”

While this toner does a fabulous job at balancing the pH of your skin and minimizing pores on the face, in my (and my friend Jenni’s) opinion, it’s great post-shave to prevent bumps and ingrown hairs. It really seems to soothe the skin and prevent itching related to shaving.

Sunkissed Babe - Natural Deodorant - Retail Value $6.99

I’ve never used natural deodorant, or any made by FCS. Nor have I tried deodorant that is in this type of container. Luckily it comes with the little plastic applicator that made application a breeze. A little goes a long way. I have to say that I’m really liking this stuff!  It has a nice, smooth consistency and it smells fantastic. I’ve never tried any deodorant that smelled so good.

According to the FCS site, it’s:

“Fresh, fruity pineapple and wild berries are blended with hints of coconut milk and island hibiscus.”

This product is a first for me, so it’s nice to be able to try out a sample before committing to buying the full-sized version (which I think I will). The full-size version comes in the same type of container, and also comes with an applicator. It’s a little more than twice the size of this container and costs $13.99.

Oh, Pool Boy! OCD Hand Sanitizer - Retail Value $2.49

These days, you can never have too many hand sanitizers, especially ones that smell this good!

According to the FCS website, the scent is:

“Tart mandarin oranges, juicy pears, fresh lily petals, blended with delicate driftwood and salty sea air.”

It’s worth noting that “A portion of the proceeds goes towards supporting the work of the International OCD Foundation, an organization that is very near and dear to our hearts.”

Boozy Beach – Bar Soap Minis - Retail Value $4.24

These mini bar soaps are so adorable that I didn't want to use them! They smell really fruity and wonderful, too.

According to FCS the scent is:

“refreshing lemon, sweet coconut, orange zest and tropical passionfruit.”

A full size bar costs $8.49 and is really, really cute. A bonus? It’s vegan, “Vegetable based, Contains no surfactants or propylene glycol, Glycerine Rich, No parabens, No Sulfates, No Propylene Glycol, Soap made from 100% Natural Ingredients”!

Girls Just Wanna Have Sun - Sticker - Retail Value $0.99

Every month, FCS makes around 4 stickers. They put one in each box they send out.  “Girls Just Wanna Have Sun” is the sticker I received. A perfect way to sum up summertime!

To buy the full set of 4 different stickers, the cost is $3.99. All are designed by FCS and graphics and quotes are all worthy of a place in your sticker collection.

The Verdict

Fortune Cookie Soap continues to put out a superior box that never disappoints. The products are incredibly creative and the scents are fabulous. I’ve been a subscriber for years and I will continue to be one! Well done, FCS. Well done!
