FabFitFun has released a few "past favorites" that will also be included in each customization category. We've already seen spoilers from category 1-6;  see "What Else to Know" for information about FFF's decision not to spoil everything this fall, limited items and what they say about seeing customization as a "fantasy FabFitFun draft."

The Deal: Use code SUMMERBOX40 to get 40% off your first box; regularly $54.99, the coupon will drop the price $22 so you'll pay $32.99.

Fall 2022 Schedule:

Some weeks ago, we shared:

On the company's Instagram, they've also been dropping hints about items that could become spoilers. In May, MSA also shared a possible spoiler from the founder:

FabFitFun founder and Editor-in-Chief Katie Kitchens recently asked subscribers to choose which of two products they want in the Fall 2022 box, possibly giving away the first spoiler.

"Now is that special time when you're gonna help me choose a product in the Fall Box," Kitchens says in a YouTube video, after showing off some of her favorite items from the Summer 2022 Box. "Do you want this," she asks, and a GLOW RECIPE Pink Juice Moisturizer pops up, "or do you want that?" she adds, and a photo of the LIVING PROOF Full Shampoo and Conditioner duo appears. "Let me know," she says. (See video below.)

At this point we don't have a confirmation that either product will end up in the box, but this isn't the first time Kitchens has asked people to weigh in. In her Spring 2022 Box video, she asked whether subscribers would prefer the ELEMIS Pro-Collagen Night Cream or the ZGallerie S+P Pinch Dishes. Sure enough, the ELEMIS cream made it into the Summer 2022 Box (although a diiferent ZGallerie product made it too).

So which would you choose? GLOW RECIPE Pink Juice Moisturizer or LIVING PROOF Shampoo and Conditioner? Which might be FabFitFun Fall Spoiler #1? (update: 7/13, we now know that the GLOW RECIPE moisturizer is in Category 2!)

What Else to Know

  • FabFitFun has said they will not be spoiling everything this season. "Back in the day, the box remained a mystery until it arrived at your doorstep and we want to bring some of that mystery back," they said in a post to FFF members. "As stated previously, we are going to continue to have a rolling curation throughout the season, so spoiling every product in every category is no longer the right strategy for us, as we feel it will cause more member confusion during the season. We are going to continue to rely on flexibility with our spoiler schedule."
  • They've also said they want to be more open about what they expect to sell out; "All limited supply items with a  badge in our social spoiler posts, they will also be labeled “Limited Supply” in Customization," they say, but they also "encourage you all to go into Customization with your 1st, 2nd, and 3rd option for each category. Instead of a fantasy football draft, think of it as a fantasy FabFitFun draft."
  • They also say "even in the event an item sells out within the first hour of Customization, you may still have the opportunity to grab a different product from the same brand. You never know, an item put in on day three may spark your interest more than an item that was available day one!"
  • Customization is from July 29 through August 2 for Annual Members and August 12 through August 16 for Seasonal Members. Seasonal members can choose their item for Categories 1-4 (depending on supply) and Annual Members get access to Categories 5 and 6.
  • New to FabFitFun? Check out our FabFitFun reviews or find out why our readers named FabFitFun the best overall subscription box for women. Add FabFitFun to your MSA wishlist to be alerted about new spoilers when they arrive.

So, I’m seasonal and just got notification that my box shipped, so I went to the website to see what I am getting for categories 5 and 6, since I did not get to choose those. Apparently, I am not getting ANYTHING listed here for category 6, and am instead getting a No7 glycolic resurfacing peel? Actually happy with this as I wasn’t thrilled with any of the cat 6 spoilers.

Reply ButtonReply

For those who received the rancid Kate Somerville vitamin C/B serum in their box (cat 6,) you can check the batch code on checkfresh. (Just Google checkfresh Kate Somerville and it will get you to the right spot.) If it’s over 6 months old the vitamin C has definitely lost effectiveness, and if it’s older than 1yr-18months it is definitely expired and unsafe to use. You can also report it to the FDA if it is bad. (color, smell, consistency, batch code/manufacturing date.)

Reply ButtonReply

I just received my box today and it’s so disappointing. I am an annual member and missed customization as well. There is not one thing in this box that is of any use to me . Just awful 😖

Reply ButtonReply

Laura (different than below 😊)

Has anyone who’s an annual gotten a shipping notice or maybe their box? On their website it says that my order is “saved”, which seems new. The last edit sale they lost my order. Or it was never packed or something. Anyway, I’m getting nervous and when I’ve chatted with them, they can’t guarantee anything. So, I was wondering if anyone had any information. Thanks

Reply ButtonReply

Why is there such a discrepancy between items in each category? It’s annoying. I can get an air filter or another bamboo colander? I really don’t care with the retail value is. We all know that we can buy deep sleep gummies at target for less than 30 dollars. It’s the same stuff over and over. Plus, I’m an annual subscriber, and I’m really really irritated that I missed the customization window–why not early access period instead of limited early access. Geez. I really wish I hadn’t resubscribed.

Reply ButtonReply

I thought that was strange too. ALOT of that stuff you can easily find at TJ Maxx etc for way cheaper than their inflated “retail” prices. Like the gummies, the weird baking set…like I would rather go to Costco and get a nice set of Silicon Mats for $8 and some really good spatulas for $12 instead of something that looks like it came from the dollar store but claims to be worth $20. Trader Joes literally sells a set of those same wool Dryer Balls for $7.

Reply ButtonReply

Kristen Parks

This happens to me all the time it is so annoying. Then they pick the cheapest things possible if you don’t customize ahead of time. I think I’m ready to be done with all of this.

Reply ButtonReply

Brenda Houck

How do I become an affiliate for fff

Reply ButtonReply

I’m pretty disappointed in years past fall boxes used to have something pumpkin this falls box seems very cheap compared to years past. I’m really hoping the winter box is better if not I’ll be cancelling my subscription that I’ve had for 5 years.

Reply ButtonReply

Is there somewhere that has all the items in each category? Bonus if it has pictures. IG has some stuff that they don’t have here. I’m a visual person and I would really appreciate a visual list of each category. Thanks 😊

Reply ButtonReply

I’m glad I canceled because I haven’t seen anything since winter that I really want. The few things that aren’t skincare, haircare or makeup don’t look like they’re worth their supposed value.

Reply ButtonReply

Really glad I cancelled my membership. I feel like its all the same stuff every time…. Nothing excited me at all. Sorry to bash the company, but it seems like they give you a great gift to reel you in, and then its just blah. Ill keep watching to see if it gets better!

Reply ButtonReply

I agree with everything you just said and this is second year Fall box is NOT FALL. These are SEASONAL BOXES! The only thing seasonal is the design on the box! Terrible!

Reply ButtonReply

Ugh, choice 6 is just baaaaad for me. I don’t like gloppy masks, I have all the skin care I need (unless there’s something I really want to try), and so I guess that means I’ll get the spongelle? Not great to have to use process of elimination to choose something!

Reply ButtonReply

Reply ButtonReply

The Sunglasses seem like spring/Fall option and the earrings are Very tiny and look super cheap

Reply ButtonReply

I agree…Everything looks cheap in this box – the overnight bag is a shiny vinyl material, the Fenty is a shade worn in the Spring/Summer… I can go on – I am so disappointed in this season’s box – I usually LOVE FFF, but this is an epic fail!

Reply ButtonReply

Right! Last Covid ok, but again NO FALL THEMED BOX ALL SUMMER SPIRING PINK SCARVES SHAWLS SUNGLASSES c’mon! This is the BEST YOU CAN COME UP WITH? It’s terrible! Glad it’s my last annual box with them.

I don’t have a lot to look forward to and this doesn’t help. It’s not bad, the Value is fine, but NO FALL FEELS AGAIN! Every year I complain they don’t listen. This could be a summer or spring box right? What about a pretty candle holder and candle or a cute fall shaped bowl or platter.. just Meh.. sad

Reply ButtonReply

Kate K

This is the first FFF box I actually feel ambivalent about.

Usually I “need” 3 or 4 items from each category. This season, if it weren’t for the air purifier and glow recipe, I’d skip!

Hopefully add ons will be more interesting.

Reply ButtonReply

I can’t seem to get the code for the Summerbox to work? Is it expired?

Reply ButtonReply

They’ve spoiled the glossier products and the boost items on IG. I’m actually getting really excited for this! Will we be able to purchase extra items from each category?

Reply ButtonReply

Went to check on their IG — FFF confirmed in the comments it’s the Glossier Futuredew and Balm Dotcom: Birthday!

Reply ButtonReply

Is there a promo code for new annual subscription?

Reply ButtonReply

Jessica F

you can use my code for $10 off and then get an annual if you like it?

Reply ButtonReply

There was no coupon when I switched from Seasonal to Annual last week, BUT the CS person I was chatting with offered me a Free Mystery Bundle to go to Annual.
Won’t spoil the deets, but most people should have a use or family use for the items I received, all of which were also in groups ( packaged bundles).

I think it was worth asking and receiving. 🙂

Reply ButtonReply

I never thought I’d say this about any sub box but here goes: There are too many customization choices. There, I said it. I also don’t understand the groupings because the values within each group are all over the place. That said, if I were to get every item I chose then I could break up the contents for some decent holiday gifts. Otherwise, this is way too much hit or miss for my liking.

Reply ButtonReply

Be happy they have all the choices. You’re complaining about a positive point.

Reply ButtonReply

Michelle Wagoner

I received a FabFitFun survey a few months ago and shared similar thoughts. It would be nice to have themed categories! Category 1- Home Decor, 2- Kitchen & Bath, 3- Beauty, 4- Health & Wellness, 5- anything goes; they can use this category to mix things up.

Reply ButtonReply

I may be in the minority, but I wouldn’t want themed categories. Personally I have zero interest in the kitchen products or the home decor. So, I am happy they are scattered across the various categories because I don’t want any of them… and perhaps some people want ALL of them. This would allow someone like me to avoid the homewares completely while someone who loves them to pick up all of them without paying extra. I like that they’ve done this, but I agree that the “cost” of the items in each category don’t make any sense.

I think it’s grouping by wholesale cost. The listed retail costs are laughable. I assume they group based on price to them.

Reply ButtonReply

Mary L.

I agree. Part of me has always wanted to sub to FFF because my sub box addiction compels me to try them all. But then I look at these spoilers, feel completely overwhelmed and decide to save my money.

Reply ButtonReply

Did anyone get the pan earlier and have opinions about it? Thanks 😊

Reply ButtonReply

Tiffany Williams

I did and it’s tiny, maybe enough room for 1 grilled cheese sandwich. I don’t use it enough to say if the non stick coating holds up

Reply ButtonReply

Yes. I love the pan!

Reply ButtonReply

Deborah Wisz-Ross

I got the pan in a previous box, then bought 3 more as back ups because I never want to be without it. I then bought a matching piece from Amazon. This pan cleans like a dream. nothing sticks and is great in the hand. Dishwasher safe too.

Reply ButtonReply

Brittany P

I love my pan and use it often! I’m glad I chose it. I ended up getting the Dutch oven for christmas (family members also gave FFF) so we end up regifting the things we won’t use lol I like my kitchen wares that I’ve gotten from them.

Way too small

I love my pan! I use it several times a week and the non stick is still great.

I looked at the Phantom Chef site because the pas was the one homeware item I briefly considered. The review are very mixed, but most people seem to comment that the non-stick coating stops working very quickly. Many also said it starts flaking.

I did get the frying pan. I think it is really pretty. I have used it several times for eggs. I think it is good quality. It is small, so make sure the size it right for you. I actually hope to get another one!

Thanks! I really appreciate it.

Soooo…. they made it more complicated. I seriously don’t understand companies that make anything more complicated for the end user, whether it’s a sub box or something else entirely. The mindset that users would have ‘fun’ going back and forth and back and forth checking out category options over and over to make selections and then re-make them many times sounds crazy to me. But I’ve seen it before, probably we all have. Companies seem to think we want more engagement and they supply it by handing us more work, essentially. I don’t get it. I’d like to know what marketing studies have led them in this direction because it seems counterintuitive and needlessly fussy to me. Like others, I am not thrilled to see so many beauty options in this box. I always like FFF and the old PopSugar precisely because it wasn’t all makeup and skincare. We already have subs for that, thank you very much. [sigh] I dunno what I’ll do with this one. I skipped the most recent sale (and who can keep track when they run a sale every five minutes??) because nothing was really useful. For those who have skipped boxes: how did that work out for you? Are you happier with the credit than the FFF box? Thinking about it. This one does not say ‘fall’ to me regardless of pumpkin eye patches.

I skipped the Spring box, it was easy and I used the credit for add-ons in Summer. Really happy with that choice.

I have been trying to take off one of my automatic shipment items the last two boxes and can’t get it removed, can you help?

I agree with Sherri- use chat they are very responsive and helpful, but you should be able to go through the refill option after the Boost and unselect the refills you don’t want anymore. You need to do it during customization.

Your best option is to contact FFF’s customer service. Their chat feature is your quickest option. This site has nothing to do with the operations of FFF and cannot assist with any orders.

I skipped. It’s the first time I’ve slipped an fff box in years. I wanted the earrings, but in every other category, I either disliked or felt ambivalent about what I would choose. I couldn’t justify getting a box filled with with junk just for a pair of small gold hoops.

Gosh so much beauty products and for the other items they look sorta cheap sadly. I the only thing I got excited about was the filter but when looking into it I realized how tiny it is. How do I skip? Do I have to email them or is the option in my account? I felt the same for summer too. I wish they added more items other then beauty and things found around beauty! Grrrr …!

You can skip – it’s pretty straightforward just go into your account page. They provide a credit, which might clear in time if you want to buy add-ons but I just used mine on the next season.

Yes I do use those but it’s SO tiny..

Not to mention, I think we would be roped into buying the replacement filters from FFF!
