Vine Oh! is a quarterly subscription box featuring wine + women's lifestyle items that are curated to help women relax, recharge and unwind. For $64.99 per quarter, you'll receive two bottles of wine (choose two sweets, two reds, two whites, or a mix), plus lifestyle gift items that will have a total retail value of at least $120. This box ships to the U.S., except the following states: AK, AL, AR, DE, HI, KY, MS, RI, UT. Helpful hint: be sure to be home to sign for the box, or have it shipped to a drop off location, otherwise you risk the box being sent back to the Fed Ex facility!

I have been working in education going on 4 years now, and I can tell you there is absolutely nothing more exciting than the sweet, sweet start of summer vacation. Don't get me wrong, I will miss those kids like crazy, but Ms. Becca needs to relax and recharge! Typically, Vine Oh! ships 4 times a year, and doesn't mention a summer box on their shipping agenda, but they have curated an "Oh Summer Fun! Box" in limited quantities, ready to ship immediately, if you too need a wine and surprise box to celebrate this beautiful season we are embarking on. Read below to find out what I received in the Oh! Summer Fun! Box.

This box was sent to us at no cost to review. (Check out our editorial guidelines to learn more).

First Impressions

Inside the shipping box, you will receive a smaller box that contains all of the lifestyle items. The wine bottles are safely cased below at the bottom of the shipping carton, arriving safe and sound. In my years of experience with this subscription, there was only one time my wine leaked (most likely due to frigid temps), but with a quick call to customer service, I received a replacement bottle 3 days later. Hooray for excellent customer service!

In the past few seasons, I have noticed that Vine Oh! has decided to forgo their usual postcard style content cards in exchange for an informational pamphlet. Included is information on each item, the retail value, and even some special offers, followed by a fun wine-themed word search. This month's box was valued at over $189!

What's Inside the Box

2019 Tines California Merlot - Retail Value $24.00

Tines Merlot is well balanced and versatile. Pleasant notes of dried figs, black currants and cinnamon.

Because I usually prefer sweet wines, red wines are sometimes a little too bold for my liking, but I still like to try them. Upon initial inspection, I could pull out the addition of cinnamon and figs, giving this Merlot an autumn feel instead of summer. Deep and rich in flavor, this red wine was a bit dry and full bodied, with a soothing aftertaste. Pairing deliciously with an elk steak and mashed potatoes, this wine was best suited for me in small doses with a meal. Overall enjoyable and helping me dip my toes in the red wine world, I surprisingly liked this!

2019 Speechless California Sauvignon Blanc - Retail Value $24.00

Speechless Sauvignon Blanc delivers aromas of Asian-pear, with star fruit, some lean lemon citrus notes and subtle hints of fresh coconut, sea salt and Thai basil on the palate. This crisp and flavorful wine is sure to be a new favorite.

Crisp and tantalizing on the tongue, this citrusy Sauvignon Blanc made a definite fan out of me. I could definitely pick out the notes of pear and lemon citrus, along with a bit of salt and basil, but couldn't distinguish any coconut flavor. It is acidic, yet slightly sweet, all in the best ways. It's best served chilled, and my husband and I happily had a glass before bed to celebrate our baseball win!

Laritzy Athena Eyeshadow Palette - Listed Value $48

It is not a secret that I am a makeup enthusiast—I love trying new colors, playing around with new eyeliners, and I am definitely not afraid of a little glitter. It's no surprise, then, that, I was beyond excited to bust into this giant eyeshadow palette to see just what it held. Honestly, when I first opened it up, it gave me more of a blush palette vibe than eyeshadow. With 4 matte shades, and 5 shimmery ones, I ended up using the more neutral tones on my upper brow bone, and directly on the lid, adding the dark "hero" shade in the crease. I did brush a little of the shimmery pink on my cheeks for blush and was happy with my results. As you can see from my swatches, this palette isn't overly pigmented, but can definitely become more pronounced with a heavier hand. The colors all pair nicely with a sun kissed glow and do give off a natural vibe. Being free of parabens, BHT, BHA, and phthalates, this is a lovely palette, just very steeply priced at $48!

The Lyfestyle Co. After Sun Spray - Listed Value $42

It's summer vacation, and while I lathered my boys in sunscreen before we headed out to plant the garden, by mid-day, Charlie had a tinge of red to his upper arms. Though I reapplied the sunscreen, the damage was done. Needless to say, we received this After Sun Spray in the nick of time! Made up of a combination of aloe, mint, and lavender, this calming spray aids in soothing burnt skin. As suggested in the pamphlet, we placed the spray in the fridge for an extra soothing effect, and Charlie was immediately relieved—plus it smells good!

SolarX Sunglasses - Listed Value $23

Sunglasses are such a personal item that it is a hard to send a universal pair. It just so happens that I love this aviator style of sunglasses so while it may not be a winner for all, it was a winner for me. With silver and black frames, these oversized shades offer UVA and UVB protection, all while giving you a "Top Gun" appearance. I personally tend to lose sunglasses or scratch them so significantly that I am hardly able to see out of the things, so receiving another pair is always welcome. Now I just need to set up the pool and we'll be set!

Host & Home Beach Towel - Listed Value $12

In line with the summer fun theme of the box, we also received this stripey towel. Sizing up at 30" x 60", this 100% ring spun cotton towel is thin enough to dry fast, yet thick enough to be cozy. Unlike some beach type towels, this version works to wick off moisture quickly, and is easy to pack and store. Loving the green and white stripes, I felt this was a perfect inclusion in this summer box.

My Amazing Leave-In Conditioner - Listed Value $12

I have significantly tangled hair, and though it is fine, I need to use conditioner or else I am not able to get a comb through it. I have tried a multitude of de-tanglers, and combs, but am always on the lookout for new products to try. Offering protection from humidity and thermal heat elements, this conditioner has a plethora of benefits, all while smelling ahhhhmazing! I did notice cannabis satvia seed oil, citronellol, and limonene as ingredients, which may be the culprit of the good scent. I found the spray to have a thin consistency but found it to work well at de-tangling and moisturizing, which is exactly what I look for in a product like this.

Sunflower Food Company Milk Chocolate Sunny Seeds - Listed Value $4

As a fisherwoman, I love sunflower seeds, but as a baseball coach of 7- and 8-year old's, I despise them. Nothing is more disgusting than having spit-soaked seeds flying in your face while you are taking book and trying to keep the lineup in order. But because seeds and baseball go together like pencil and paper, I have made the executive decision to buy a case of these milk chocolate sunny seeds to share with the players in the dugout. Loving that they're sweet, chocolatey, and brightly colored, my boys couldn't get enough of these tiny, delicious seeds. So much easier than shelling traditional seeds, these were hella less messy, and tastier overall. I am definitely a fan.

Verdict

As an off-and-on-again subscriber of Vine Oh! for years, I have to say this is one of my favorite subscriptions. I am a sucker for anything summer, and this curation hit the nail on the head. Including all of the necessities to start out my summer vacay, I felt like this box was curated specifically for me. I loved this month's wine choices and found the lifestyle items to be fun and useful. All in all, this box was extremely well rounded, and I loved every detail put into it! That eyeshadow pallet is a repeat, I got it in a box several months ago, It is really nice and pigmented and will last forever, but repeats are repeats.

Hey Cheryl! Thanks for letting me know! I took a break from Vine Oh! For a minute and must have missed getting the palette. So far, I am really enjoying it, but can understand now wanting multiples as it’s large and lasts. Hopefully the Fall box will be a better fit!

Becca, you are rockin those sunglasses! I got my email yesterday and can’t wait for my box. I really liked the curation of this Summer box compared to the Spring box.
