First Impressions

Kinder Beauty sends out two box variations each month. This is a review of the "Blossom" box for April 2022.

content sheet

Kinder Beauty is once again shipping a box guide with the contents of your box, but you can still visit kinderbeauty.com/mybox to see each product as well as tips and tricks on how to use your new products.

It appears this subscription is running a little late on shipping. Their website reflects that the June box is now available, but I've only just received the April shipment.

What's Inside This Box

Sonage Collagen Boosting Serum - Retail Value - $48.00

I've been so lax on my skincare routine since I got my first positive pregnancy test, but my intentions to take care of my skin are still present. I haven't been using serums out of sheer neglect, but after testing this one, I may have to make more of an effort. It breathed fresh life into my skin; after wearing it overnight, I woke to plumper and smoother skin, and it felt so soft, too! This vegan serum is a collagen-booster; it is totally plant-based, and it works by hydrating the skin causing a plumping and smoothing effect.

Province Apothecary Facial Cupping Set - Retail Value - $29.00

I absolutely love receiving beauty tools in subscriptions. I thoroughly enjoy testing out new fads and skincare finds, and even though I've only ever heard of this technique once or twice, I was stoked to see a little set in this month's box. If you're interested in this process, here is a link for Province Apothecary's tutorial-a must watch for tips and tricks on how to successfully cup your face. I used this cupping method four times, and I had this video up every time. It feels a little funny at first, but I think I got the hang of using an adequate amount of suction and what areas of my face and neck I like to target. I am determined to continue using this set and what my results may look like. It proposes a rejuvenated (can vouch for this!) complexion with a smoother, line-minimized texture.

Laritzy Lip Gloss in Peach Sand - Retail Value - $16.00

As an everyday user of gloss, I can be pretty picky about the formulas I use. I need something comfortable and hydrating that will wear off nicely instead of leaving my lips looking uneven or textured with leftover glitter. Alas, this is a very fine gloss. It leaves a moisturized finish that looks glossy, isn't sticky, and is pigmented enough to wear on its own. You could use this gloss as a photo for the definition of the 'your lips but better' kind of color.

Timeless Organics Repairing Shampoo - Listed Value - $7.00 and Timeless Organics Repairing Conditioner - Listed Value - $7.00

So, my hair cleansing routine hasn't changed in about 25 years up until recently. A few weeks ago, I read an article detailing the benefits of conditioning before shampooing for fine hair, and wow. I was not expecting this strategy to work so well, but I've loved the extra volume I am left with, and I feel like I am still reaping the benefits of my conditioner. I am constantly switching out shampoos, just to keep my hair on its toes, and I've been really enjoying this repairing shampoo. It smells lovely, and it provides a sufficient amount of volume in my hair. The conditioner in this line has been keeping my hair soft while detangling and keeping frizz at bay, which is quite the feat in this humidity. All of the ingredients in this line are organic, gluten-free, and environmentally friendly.

Verdict

April's Kinder Beauty Box covered all of the bases this month. We have skincare, haircare, and makeup; I love when boxes send out a scope of items instead of focusing mainly on skincare. I am most excited about the skincare this month, which is unusual for me, but I'll absolutely be sporting my new gloss and using up my new shampoo and conditioner samples. Everything this month was a total win for me, and I can't wait to see what next month (or May's box) has in store! This month’s box has a retail value of $107, quadrupling the box's cost of $26.

I’m a self-proclaimed “cool mom” who loves a little, who am I kidding, a lot of razzle-dazzle. I have been box-obsessed for over 10 years, and I am always on the hunt for new beauty, fun flair and trendy clothing boxes. I’ve noticed sometimes it takes upwards of three days, especially over the weekend.
