JourneeBox is now ready to offer its Nottingham Box 2022 Box. It was delayed last year, but now the boxes in their warehouse ready to go, according to the brand. Customization closes Wednesday, June 22nd at midnight PST.

Organic English Breakfast Tea

Value: $20

Organic English Breakfast Tea was once served to builders in Nottingham alongside a hearty English breakfast, and soon became the favorite blend for morning pick-me-ups throughout England.

You'll get 3oz (42 Servings) of fair trade certified loose leaf English Breakfast Tea made from 100% organic Camellia Sinensis Leaves packaged in 3 ¼” x 3 ½” reusable aluminum tin. Place one teaspoon of our loose leaf tea in a tea strainer with 8oz of hot water. Add a dash of sugar, honey, or cream to taste. (pictured above with the Annual Member Bonus Item)

Earlier we shared the first five spoilers:

Flora and Fauna Greeting Card Set

Value: $25

Our vintage scientific illustration greeting card set is drawn from the Nottingham Museum of Natural History’s collection. Built as a manor home in the 1580’s, today the museum houses the most extensive collection of natural artifacts in all of England.

The set of five custom-designed cards evoke the beauty and detail of Victorian-era scientific illustrations including the stately deer that roam the museum's stately lawns.

The Flora and Fauna Greeting Card Set contains five cards, envelopes, and gold dragonfly embossed stickers – all stored in an embellished reusable box. Printed on recycled paper with plant-based ink, cards measure 7 ½”  x 5 ½”.

Antler Necklace

Value: $60

Inspired by the majestic stags on Nottingham’s coat of arms, our necklace evokes the nobility and gentle grace of the powerful deer. Herds of deer roam the grounds of Wollaton Hall, now a protected nature park called Deer Park & Gardens.

Modeled in a vintage wax-seal design, this striking pendant is available in matte gold or silver plating.

The Antler Crest Necklace has a 20” chain with a 5” extender.  Set with white cz, the pendant measures ½” by ¾”.

Subscribers can choose silver plating or matte gold.

Old Market Square Puzzle

Value: $45

Old Market Square has hosted festivals, royal visits, civil protests, and all kinds of celebrations since the 11th century. According to folklore, it was in this very square where Robin Hood bested the Sheriff of Nottingham in an archery contest for the coveted silver arrow!

Experience for yourself the vibrancy and fun of Old Market Square with this custom designed JourneeBox puzzle. Keep an eye out for the six easter eggs commemorating [Journeebox founder] Kevia’s year living in Nottingham.

The puzzle has 500 pieces; the completed puzzle is 20.5" x 15"--it also comes with a 11.5" x 20" poster and 9" x 12" bag.

Earlier this month, we revealed the first two spoilers. The first spoiler is the Annual Member Item:

Nottinghamshire Pheasant Tea Time Set

I did not get my free gift for being an annual. Definitely not renewing this one.

Leo@Journeebox

Hello,
I am so sorry for not getting the annual Gift. Can you please reach out via Chat on our website so I can help you out? Thank you!

Carol

So you didn’t get the tea cup & saucer? My annual box hasn’t arrived yet

Reply ButtonReply

D.A.

I was a quarterly subscriber but they “expired” aka canceled me. They said my payment would not renew but that credit card works just fine for all my other subscriptions. They made no effort to communicate with me to offer a different way to pay, and when I asked about getting my next box all their customer service could say was “Upon checking your account, you are no longer subscribed to us.” I had literally asked them how to buy the box, but if my business isn’t wanted – well, okay by me. I guess me asking for help every time their customization email links did not work or never came made me undesirable to them. Guess what, Journeebox – you are totally replaceable! I think they are probably a sinking ship just like Causebox/Alltrue so I’m happy to be moving on.

Amy

If you’re tempted to buy extra jewelry with the sale . . .
I got the gold and silver necklace set as a free gift with my annual, and loved the necklaces. I wore them all regularly, and in April I took 2 of them with me on a 4 week trip. I had worn them both many times at home with no issues. After wearing one of them (a gold one) 2 days in a row on hot days (never in the shower or anything), I suddenly broke out in a rash, and had what look like bug bites only on my neck. That’s when I realized the necklace had tarnished. A month later I still have a rash despite every over the counter cream you can imagine. It’s bad enough that I now am going to the dermatologist. So beware.

I’m unable to customize and once again there’s no reply to my message. I’m absolutely FURIOUS with this company. When I paid for an annual sub last Nov. they never sent the bonus items. Now the customization link they sent me doesn’t work, it takes me to the main page to buy a sub. They don’t reply to my messages. I feel completely CHEATED. How do i get my money back? Is there a number to call with a real person?

Reply ButtonReply

Customer Service

Hi,
We are closed on the weekends but always respond to messages. Please contact us via the chat feature on the website and we will take care of your order today. All items are still in stock. Apologies for the delay.

Darla

Contact your cc company with the details. I’ve had my cc credited by my bank when I’ve had issues with subs in the past. Just make sure you’ve documented everything (your emails etc).

Reply ButtonReply

Carol

so there should be at least 1 more item since they say EACH box has 6+ items…

Reply ButtonReply

Carol

Looks like 2 Lace & Rose Oil Hydrogel Facial Masks will be in boxes. (speaking of masks 😷 what did subscribers do with their Mexican floral ones?)

Reply ButtonReply

Sheri Hoffman

I love my floral mask and wear it quite often.

V

Still in the package unopened, I keep forgetting to put them for swap or sell on Ebay. They came so late to the game

mia

I’m not a subscriber, but I suppose you can wear the floral mask on top of a surgical mask to create a better seal.

JJ Casuals

I reached out to CS and they said customization emails would go out this evening Pacific time.

Reply ButtonReply

windowshopping

How did you reach out? They never reply to my messages and i fedl completely ripped off by their behavior since stupidly paying for an annual sub last year

Reply ButtonReply

Customer Service

Hi,

I see you are having trouble reaching us. We use a CS software that tracks all incoming messages and they don’t role off until they are responded to. However, we also have live chat on the website, 9-5 week days PST. Please reach out via chat so we can resolve any issues you have.

Alex

Any old pacific time? Why can’t they be more clear

Reply ButtonReply

Dea

Please update us tonight or tomorrow as to the veracity of this statement. With this company, whether one should laugh or cry at their claims is a toss-up.

Reply ButtonReply

JJ Casuals

OK–I just customized and it was smooth sailing and they had some great add-on jewelry for 40% off…

Erika

I’m thinking if there is loose tea in the box, there should be a tea strainer too. How many people own a tea strainer? I hope that is item #7…

Reply ButtonReply

JJ Casuals

I like the necklace here, but feel like we should all get the tea cup and saucer. This doesn’t seem to be enough without it for a quarterly sub…Last spoiler is English Breakfast tea.

Reply ButtonReply

Tolin

My understanding is that everyone gets it, but that annuals get to pick their color. Is that not correct?

Reply ButtonReply

Carol

somewhere above it says ‘The first spoiler is the Annual Member Item: Nottinghamshire Pheasant Tea Time Set’…

Carol

In the tea email from JB today I had to do a double take when it stated customization & add ons begin Friday JULY 17th! Oops

Reply ButtonReply

Amy

It may be the first time in history when they actually beat the expectations they set! 😉

anna

Yuck! I’m not liking anything about this box. I do like puzzles & think that’s a great idea, but the pic looks dated.

I’ve gone ahead and cancelled my annual subscription and thinking I might risk it and skip this box.
I had planned on just going ahead and getting it to end my subscription, but really don’t care for the coasters, necklace, or cards (not even enough to gift them). Tea cup could be used at work or for other (non tea drinking) decorative purposes (had thought it could be good next to the sink to put jewelry in cup and keep soap on tray)
If I skip it, wonder how long it will take for the next box to come out…January 2023 is my guess.

Reply ButtonReply

Carol

I also cancelled my annual sub after realizing it was wrong for me. I’ve received 2 boxes in the year since I joined. Won’t skip any since will drag it out longer. Looks like newer members must pay added shipping fees. I end up donating most items, instead of keeping or gifting them.

Reply ButtonReply

Kelly

I just canceled my subscription. I really wanted to support Kevia, but the lack of communication and delays is not okay.

Reply ButtonReply

Amy

Remember February 25? That’s when we got the long non-apology email promising “. . . Nottingham [is] in the warehouse and ready to ship next.”

Reply ButtonReply

Customer Service

Hi,

The email in February was about Mexico shipping. We wanted to let people know the Nottingham box was here and would go out the next season once Mexico was completed.

Reply ButtonReply

Stephanie

Amy- you’re correct, JB did say Nottingham was in the warehouse and that the boxes would ship next. In one of the posts, Kevia said they will ship Nottingham following the Mexico box to get back on track. There was nothing about it shipping next season…what’s next season when they’re behind a full + year of shipping boxes? What a joke.

Amy

Yes, I’m aware that the February 25 email was about Mexico shipping. But it said that “. . . Nottingham [is] in the warehouse and ready to ship next.” I am convinced there wouldn’t be 1/2 as much frustration if there were clear and consistent communication. It would probably also save you from having to respond to as many emails.

Jennifer

This box is lies after lies after lies.

Reply ButtonReply

Kristin

I’m so glad this is my last box in annual has so gone downhill.

Reply ButtonReply

Alex

I’m really worried about this subscription after alltrue. I just paid for an annual but I’m not hearing great reviews and Kevia is not being clear about the schedule. I don’t know if I should cancel my sub

Reply ButtonReply

Customer Service

Hi Alex,
If you started with the Mexico, your next box will be Nottingham three months from your first box. Spoilers for Tubingen, Germany will begin in August.

Reply ButtonReply

Jenny

I would cancel and demand my money back. They sent out 2 boxes per year for the past 2 years. The quality is Daiso and it’s mostly all made in China. You wouldn’t know that cause they put their own tags on. Oh and per FTC rules you’re entitled to a full refund if it’s been more then 30 days.

This box is the worst I’ve seem and is most definitely a money grab. It reminds me of the last Happy Rebel box where subscribers received paper plates/cups/napkins. After that box, they announced their closure.

Reply ButtonReply

Jennifer

I actually like this box overall, but I’m a tea addict and collect tea cups.

However, I do find it amusing that the leaf spoon is part of the tea set – when I just ordered some of those exact leaf spoons on Shein for less than a buck a piece.

Taren

My family actually likes doing puzzles. But what a Hideous picture scene of tourists walking up steps! And saying it’s worth $45 when it’s worth about three is ridiculous. Im fully a year and 3/4 into a one year sub, everything is moving so slow, and I used to sing praises/Kevia constantly!

Reply ButtonReply

Carissima

3 coasters and 1 teacup. Beyond dumb.

Reply ButtonReply

Daisy

Not only that, an obvious money grab. Embarrassing.

Reply ButtonReply

Xtina

A puzzle? Very disappointing spoiler. I was thinking about getting this box a year ago when it was first announced, but it looks like I won’t after all.

Reply ButtonReply

Anita F

The third spoiler is a jigsaw puzzle btw.🤷🏻‍♀️

Reply ButtonReply

Pam

This whole sub is a train wreck. If I remember correctly, JB commented on one of these posts saying this box would ship immediately following the Mexico box, guess not lol.

Reply ButtonReply

Mary L.

That’s what they told me when I was trying to get a refund. They told me back in April that Nottingham was 80% in the warehouse and would ship in May.

Alex

I just subscribed and then realized I may not get this Nottingham box. And it’s why I signed up annually ☹️ I’m not interested in the Mexico/Riviera box. But these are silly problems. I love all the reviews of this box

Reply ButtonReply

Jean

I recommend emailing customer service to make sure your subscription begins with the Nottingham box. I have had nothing but good experiences with JourneeBox customer service. I have an annual and I was not interested in the Mexico box – they happily allowed me to skip it.

Reply ButtonReply

Kristin

Customer service is good but the quality and delays don’t make up for it, for me.

Alex

Thank you. I did that Friday so I hope to hear back soon.

Subscription Snob

So stupid. Cut corners much, Journebox?? Look how many more coaster sets you can make with those extra 4th pieces. Ridiculous! And tea for one. WTH?

Reply ButtonReply

Carol

These pine coasters are not the same as the ‘oakewood’ ones shown in their first Nottingham spoiler on MSA back in Sept 20, 2021. They had a few pieces of wood scraps in each & looked nicer to me. Guess they switched manufacturers

Reply ButtonReply

Jean

I noticed that these are not the same as the original coaster spoiler. I agree – the others looked better with the multiple wood slices. These are still cool looking though.

Reply ButtonReply

Kat g

I thought it was a piece of tuna when I first saw them!

Reply ButtonReply

Carol

haha! I thought of ham slices…The original coaster style can still be seen on this site. Very different.

Kate

Yeah, I’m not thrilled with the coasters. The teacup and saucer look cool to me, and I like that it is more of a plate. I am also screaming WHY ONLY THREE COASTERS.

Reply ButtonReply

Stephanie

Molly, yes, beyond cheap and embarrassing. I figure since these are different coasters, Kevia probably found these at a last chance, going out of business clearance sale and there were only a certain number of these coasters left. Knowing she wouldn’t have enough for all subscribers to get a normal 4 count she decided on 3 each. Must have been super cheap.

Molly

Because if you take 1 from 3 sets, now you’ve got another set you can sell. So cheap and embarrassing. I would never pay for something as low down as this box.

Taren

These look like nice things but he hopefully they let us add to it since it’s just odd numbers.

Reply ButtonReply

Chasity

Their stuff looks beautiful. I think it’s just odd to offer a set of 3 coasters and a tea set with one cup.

Reply ButtonReply

Kay

YES! A tea set should have two cups, and coasters should come in sets of 4. I would buy if the sets made practical sense.

Reply ButtonReply

Dea

The wood looks coated. Which means that the coaster is not absorbent. Which defeats the whole purpose of a coaster. The glass sweats, you pick it up to drink, the coaster clings to it, and then gravity does its thing and the coaster crashes down and water droplets splatter everywhere. 😒

andreama

Ha but then it would have to be a “4 Piece Sherwood Coaster Set, 4 inches by 4 inches each”. That extra inch and coaster just wasn’t eco-friendly enough. 😂
