First Impressions

The first thing I noticed about this box was the colorful design! I absolutely love it, and I very much appreciate the attention to detail when it comes to supporting diversity and unity in such an eye-catching way. I can’t wait to see what products have been selected for this ‘female-founded’ curation.

Each month GlossyBox usually arrives with a booklet that includes a list of all the products included in that month's box.

What's Inside The Box

BLOOM AND BLOSSOM Hands Up Age-Defying Hand Cream, 15 ml - Estimated Retail Value $6.62

Wow, an age-defying hand cream! I love it. This Bloom and Blossom hand cream has a fabulous creamy texture to it that gives a little extra attention to areas needing hydration, repair, restoration, and brightening. It has a natural scent, with hints of bergamot, cedarwood, and ylang ylang, and as someone who is sensitive to scents, I have to say, I don't mind it. The scent isn’t too overpowering, which I appreciate. I love that one of the highlighted ingredients in this formula is shea butter, which is super moisturizing and plays nicely with my skin. When I applied this cream to my hands, I found it to be fast absorbing, truly hydrating, and not all greasy. I despise when hand creams are greasy, so the lack of that grease was a win for me. Even after washing my hands, my skin was left feeling smooth and hydrated. Also, I can use all the ‘age-defying’ that I can get, so this hand cream is a DOUBLE win!

BLUME Daydreamer Super Gentle Face Wash, 20 ml - Estimated Retail Value $3.33

I’ve had the opportunity to try this Daydreamer cleanser by Blume once before, and I absolutely loved it. This cleanser has a very nice lather to it that washes off smoothly and doesn’t leave behind any greasy feeling. The texture itself reminds me of lotion, and it is incredibly hydrating. After cleansing with this face wash, my skin was left feeling clean, glowy, buoyant, and soft. I do have sensitive skin, but this one brought on zero irritation and no breakouts. It’s only very lightly scented. Made from all-natural products, this cleanser boasts a powerhouse ingredient list, including lavender, chamomile, geranium, and giant sea kelp, all of which help to calm and hydrate skin without stripping it of its natural oils.

CIATE LONDON Wonderwand Mascara, mini - Retail Value $10.00

I’m a fan of Ciate London all the way, and their Wonderwand Mascara is a really great option for me to have on hand. In our post-Covid world, I’m not a huge fan of putting on an entire face of makeup each and every day. My go-to look has become more mascara-focused. Oftentimes that’s all it takes to make myself look a bit more alive at that after-hours dinner meeting, even after a long day of back-to-back Zooms. The wand has a really nice shape to it, and I love how smoothly the mascara applies. It is definitely buildable and allows you to create the desired look with minimal effort; no clumps or flaking. Plus, the shade is true black!

DECO MIAMI Nail Polish in Tequila Sunrise, 5.75 ml - Retail Value $8.00

Just looking at this nail polish from Deco Miami puts me in a better headspace. I am impressed with the polish itself. The shade ‘Tequila Sunrise’ is a vibrant yellow. So perfect for summertime! When I applied the first coat, it didn’t take too long to try, seeming to set rather quickly. However, the polish is definitely one in which you will need to apply at least two, more like three, coats in order to secure that opaque, bright pop of color everyone's after. What I especially love about this polish is its eight-free luxury-grade formula, and the wide brush is perfect for applying the polish more quickly, without as many swipes across the nail. It’s also cruelty free and vegan, which is always a win for me. I’m interested in seeing the durability of this polish over the long-term, but it seems to be long-lasting and pretty tough overall with not much chipping.

FGBG Daily Dose Vitamin Gummies, 2 gummies 3x - Retail Value $5.00

I’m always excited to see gummy vitamins included in a subscription; it’s so nice to try different brands and see which one works best for me. I appreciate that this brand’s products are completely vegan. I received a multi-vitamin packet, the hair, skin, and nails packet, and the summer glow tanning packet. One thing I noticed (thankfully before tasting these) is that the multi-vitamin gummies contain wheat. The rest are gluten free, so as someone who is gluten intolerant, having only one of these gummies contain gluten was a bit of a surprise to me. These gummies have a nice consistency to them; not too squishy and not too tough. They have a delightful taste to them as well. My favorite of these was the ‘HAIR. SKIN. NAILS.’ packet, with a delicious strawberry taste and featuring healthy doses of biotin, Vitamin C, and Vitamin E. I was really surprised by the ‘tanning’ gummies… They are formulated to specially optimize your tanning results. Now, I’m already a luscious shade of caramel, so that’s not really something I desire, but it’s a nice thing for them to offer for my fairer-skinned folks out there.

FLORAL STREET Sunflower Pop Eau de Parfum Travel Spray, 10 ml - Retail Value $32.00

First off, I LOVE the artistic take on this Sunflower Pop fragrance from Floral Street. The bottle's aesthetic features the yellow-tipped sunflowers from the brush of Van Gogh, which inspired the scent. The scent is a delightful blend of fresh mandarin, honey accord, bellini accord, and Calabrian bergamot. It’s definitely giving me ‘citrus’ type of vibes. This scent reminds me of my grandma, and it's also a bit too harsh for my nostrils. Regardless, I do appreciate the inspiration behind this fragrance, and I also love that it has come in a travel size. That makes it super easy to take on the go or to use while in a pinch.

FUR Fur Oil, 3 ml - Estimated Retail Value $2.08

This is by far one of the smallest samples I have ever received! I’ve heard about Fur’s Fur Oil, and I’ve always wanted to try it out. Although I'm happy to have this product, it's a bit too small, I think, in order to show any long-term results. I imagine this is the type of product that requires some consistent use in order to improve skin conditions. I will say, though, that the oil is very nice, and it has a luxurious feeling to it. This is the pinnacle of self-care, and the scent puts me right into 'spa mode.' This is supposed to help prevent razor bumps and ingrown hair, making skin and hair softer, and can help calm the irritated skin ANYWHERE. The highlight of this oil for me so far is that it dries down almost instantly, which makes me think it will not clog pores or cause breakouts in even the most delicate of areas.

GRANDECOSMETICS GrandeLIPS Hydrating Lip Plumper in Clear, 2.5 ml - Estimated Retail Value $27.00

I’ve never been into lip plumpers, and I’m not really a huge fan of the tingling sensation they create, but I have to say, I was pretty surprised by this GrandeLIPS Hydrating Lip Plumper from GrandeCosmetics. It didn’t cause any pain, and best of all, the tingling sensation was shockingly minimal. The product was very hydrating (not sticky) on my lips, which I appreciate, and it did cause them to look juicer and a little fuller. Although using lip plumper may not be my preference, if that’s something that you’re looking for, this could definitely be an effective product for you..

KITSCH Stargazer Hair Coils in Blonde, 8 pcs - Retail Value $7.99

I have a LOT of hair. These little Stargazer Hair Coils from Kitsch are nice and sleek, and that’s great; but for me, these would need to be three times bigger in order for me to use them. I will say, though, that these are good quality hair ties for anyone with slightly finer hair than myself. One thing I noticed is that they don’t on hair with a stranglehold grip like a lot of others do. I love the Kitsch brand. Every product I have received from them has been high quality, and I appreciate the thought put into these since they have specially created different coil sets that blend in with different hair colors. However, I have very dark hair and received ‘Blonde,’ but no worries; in any case, I’ll be passing these along to my friend who doesn’t have quite as many curls to combat and will be able to get the full benefits of this lovely product.

MONDAY HAIRCARE SMOOTH Shampoo and Conditioner Minis, 50 ml 2x - Estimated Retail Value $2.28

I love it when a subscription includes a shampoo and conditioner duo! Any good hair care routine requires not one but both components, so I appreciate when companies choose to include them as a set. The first thing I noticed about this hair care duo is that it’s Monday Haircare’s ‘smooth’ configuration. For me, smoothing is a good thing… This hair system is supposed to provide nourishment and hydration to hair that is curly, coily, or coarse, helping to add shape and combat frizz. Now, that sounds wonderful, but unfortunately, I don’t think this formula is powerful enough to tame my head of thick curls. The formula contains an array of great ingredients, including coconut oil, shea butter, Vitamin E, and more, and it has a nice scent to it, if not a bit floral for my liking. Since it doesn’t seem to serve my type of hair as well as others I use on a regular basis, I’m going to pass along this duo to one of my finer-haired friends who is sure to love it.

TOUCHLAND Power Mist Berry Bliss, 30 ml - Retail Value $9.00

I am so excited to have this Touchland Power Mist hand sanitizer! I love the sleek look and how compact it is, making it easy to stow in your purse, pocket, or pretty much anywhere. The texture of the sanitizer is wonderful and not at all sticky. It’s also hydrating and not drying like traditional hand sanitizers. I was shocked at how delightful the scent of this sanitizer is, featuring a yummy blend of ripe strawberries, crisp apple, and garden rhubarb. Usually hand sanitizers tend to deliver quite a potent punch to my nostrils, but not this one, so I am very impressed. The highlight for me is truly the sleek form, and the applicator is a very nice one as well. It sprays out a superfine mist, which makes it even more enjoyable to use.

Verdict

Wow, this was an amazing box from GlossyBox! The highlight for me was Touchland’s hand sanitizer; it comes in such a sleek package and is perfect to take with you wherever you go. The Blume face wash is a win for me, and I love the luxurious creamy texture. Fur’s fur oil was a welcome inclusion for me and something I always have wanted to try. I’m excited to see what it does! Both the shampoo and conditioner duo from Monday Haircare and the hair coils from Kitsch aren’t exactly fitting for my type of hair, but they are high quality products that my finer-haired friends are sure to get some great use from. It’s always exciting to receive a sweet treat, and especially one that’s healthy for you like these FGBG gummy vitamins. Just beware of the multivitamin if you’re gluten intolerant like myself because it DOES contain gluten while the others do not. We also have a lovely yellow nail polish from Deco Miami that sends me some strong summertime vibes, and I very much enjoy the shade. It seems like a long-lasting polish that is also safe (thanks to its eight-free luxury grade formula).

GrandeCosmetic’s lip plumper definitely works to plump up your lips without much tingling, and Ciate London’s mascara is a wonderful tried-and-true product for your everyday makeup look. The age-defying hand cream from Bloom and Blossom is something I’m going to keep next to my workspace for easy access, and lastly, the travel spray from Floral Street… I absolutely love the aesthetic of this fragrance, but the scent is not for me. If you’re into citrus / floral scents, you should definitely give it a try. Overall, this was such a great box! The product curation was diverse with some products that were new to me, which I appreciate, and the value is wonderful.

Not a fan of the reviewer not trying on the item for us to see. What’s the point? It’s nail polish, show us how it looks on your nail. I can only assume the reason is to regift of resell the item, negating the purpose of the REVIEW in the first place.

Linda

The main reason I bought this box was for the perfume. I’m going to try to forget you said it smells like Grandma. I like it.

The main reason I’m not buying this box is because of this perfume, because I already own it 🙂 I must like smelling like a grandma. It is a strong perfume, you don’t need much.
