Today, Academy Award nominee and Marvel star Scarlett Johansson launched her new  "The Outset" Skincare line at Sephora.com. It's set to to launch in all US stores on April 28. The line has been available since March, but only on TheOutset.com.

"At The Outset we believe great skincare starts with the basics," the actress said in a video she and co-founder (and CEO) Kate Foster posted to Instagram. Five products and a set are for sale today, but the line may expand. Johansson and Foster suggest customers start with their Daily Essentials Starter Set. "Think of it as your personal white tea of skincare," says Foster in the clip. She mentions that the set contains antioxidants, amino acids, vegan collagen, squalane and more. The entire line is fragrance-free, vegan and cruelty-free.

As of today, the products for sale are:

What do you think? Do you think you'll try "The Outset" Skincare line ?

I’m tired of celebrity lines. I know legit companies need celebrity names to sell product but it’s just such lazy marketing. Only celeb line that I truly love is Rihanna’s. She used her celebrity status to demand inclusivity and I stan forever.

Hmmm… not sure how I feel about this. Just feels like another celeb coming out with a line

So… Is this the new GOOP?? SJ is starting with skincare and next she’s got a way of living that people buy into? 😂

No, just no. She’s talked about getting Botox. This is as disingenuous as JLow.

I think it’s extremely dishonest to peddle skincare products, deny using Botox/fillers, but then USE Botox and fillers secretly. Knowing how much money these celebrities have and their access to top notch dermatologists…..do they think we are stupid?! Of course they are doing extras to their face. The few who don’t and embrace the natural ageing process (and it is obvious),….God bless them! Honesty is very much appreciated when it comes to matters of the face. Why pretend a person is immune to ageing and distort what is a very natural process? Wrinkles might be filled in and muscles paralyzed, but the internal clock does not lie. See Madonna.

Neither does Selena Gomez but I have loved every Rare Beauty item I’ve tried.

I like Scarlett Johansson as an actress, but this is a turnoff for me. I would have thought she had enough millions in her bank account. This feels like a money grab.

First I am a big fan of her movies, ever since horse whisperer. and I do wish she credited a make-up artist or skin care specialist that she works with. Actor’s skin takes a lot of abuse. lots of make-up bright lights and outside shooting in all kinds of weather. So I am sure she knows her stuff but she must be working with a pro.

Anything on Reddit about import sheets from Alibaba?

Sorry. Couldn’t resist. Like Mia said, what does this actress know about crafting skincare?

Beauty industry definitely easy money. Despite how saturated the market is, there’s always going to be a celebrity with their beauty, skincare, whatever line.

LOL! She should have named it “The Botox”. I’ll probably end up trying some of the products when/if they pop up in some boxes. I try pretty much anything, so I have to give her a chance.

Why? She’s not a scientist or dermatologist. I’m so tired of celebrities slapping their names on beauty products in exchange for a few or portion of the proceeds.
