February 2022: "Vibes"

Along with my beauty items, I received an info card that details what items are in the box. February is the month of love and I of course expected a Valentine's Day-themed box name.  But this month's box is a different V word, "Vibes", and I'm into it! Good vibes all month long for all of us 🙂

Seraphine Sugar Cane Lip Drops (Goji), 6.5 ml – Retail Value $21.00

Starting this month's review off with this sweet item from Seraphine Botanicals. I've never heard of sugar cane lip drops previously, but became very intrigued with the product description and bubble gum pink color. This water-based gel helps to exfoliate and prime lips for makeup application without any rinsing after. Not only is the color bubblegum pink, the smell was the same- sweet and sugary. The gel was cooling and absorbed right into my lips.  After a few seconds, my lips felt smooth and dry, ready for my lipstick!

(Bonus Item) Plant Fusion Collagen Beauty Clear Skin Hydrator, 10 g–  Estimated Value $2.39

Our bonus item this month is a nutrition supplement we've received in a previous month box. Our clear skin hydrator contains a collagen boosting supplement that supports smooth and even skin. I don't generally enjoy water supplements. I haven't found one that doesn't have that Splenda taste. Sadly I felt the same about the flavor of this.  I could only do a taste of it before I decided I was done.  I've read many reviews however of customers absolutely loving this item. My suggestion, give it a try!

Medusa's Liquid Lipstick (Bang), 6 ml – Retail Value $14.00

I absolutely love Medusa's matte liquid lipsticks and am so happy to add another color to my collection! This 'bang' color is a sweet pink hue that is perfect for your vibey Valentine's Day!

I am having adult menstrual cycle acne happening right now, so apologies for the lack of face photos  this review. :-/  I found this color to be a lot lighter than the sample on the website. It's a duller hot pink shade that I'm very much into 🙂

Medusa's Duo-chrome Eye Dust (Ophelia), 1.5 g – Retail Value $14.00

The pictures don't do this bronzey goodness justice. I'm completely in awe of it! Medusa's Eye Dust really is one of the best in the beauty market.  The eye dust slides onto eyelids like butter and with primer, can last incredibly long.

The shimmer on this duo-chrome is everything! Again, the pictures don't do this beauty justice.

Medusa's Tropical Eyeshadow (Bermuda), 2 g – Listed Value $12.00

\This matte purple eyeshadow is giving me all the tropical vibes. The color is bold and commands attention. I sometimes have a hard time getting matte eyeshadow to show on my lids without using a lot of product, but this color showed up after just a small smudge. This shadow will be making an appearance in my summer rotation.

Medusa's Precision Tweezers– Listed Value $12.00

Get the Eyebrow Duo Set that includes an eyebrow pencil for $30 – on sale now for $22!

Our last item this month is in one of my favorite colors (rose gold). These tweezers are sleek and chic ready to help with eyebrows, splinters, or other delicate work. I have not used them yet as I have no eyebrows and haven't had a splinter in years (knock on wood). But I'm glad to have this shiny baby handy!

Verdict

I'd like to nickname this Medusa's box " My Vibey Valentine", because it gave the perfect accompaniment of both. I loved all of the sweet and sleek colors of items- the chromes, metallics, bolds! The color combinations made for a fun box. The neatest item this month would be the lip drops. I was expecting a rough lip scrub consistency and it was the opposite- but still exfoliated exactly as stated! My favorite item this month is the duo-chrome eye dust.  It's sultry and mesmerizing. I wasn't that impressed with last month's box, but Medusa's Makeup made up for it this month!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Yes, you'll likely receive the March bag. Some past boxes are also available for a one-time purchase here.

Value Breakdown: I estimate I received $75.39 worth of items (this includes our bonus item). I found this to be a great value for having only paid $22.95.
