ShoeDazzle Plus: Black Staple Pieces Review

Corena Loafter Flat in Black and White, Size 10-- Retail Value $59.95

I love a good loafer, especially the chunky styles reminiscent of what I wore back in the 90s as a teenager. These shoes also are reminiscent of another 90s style icon: Elaine Benes of Seinfeld! Wear these paired with your favorite floral button-down dress and blazer while awkwardly dancing with a "sponge worthy" partner-- you will be a hit! I also love that these are a patent leather; it makes them even more 90s for me. I would have paired these with a plaid skirt, baby doll t-shirt, and my matching black patent leather mini backpack. Adult Nicole instead wore the shoes with a somewhat Elaine style dress from Gwynnie Bee and acrylic geometric earrings.  As for the fit: I have fairly wide feet with a high instep, but I opted to get the size 10 in the average width. It can be a roll of the dice for me! I am glad I didn't select the wider version because these fit fairly well. My Barney Rubble feet managed to get in the average width, but no fear-- there are wider width options in this style available!

Boxy Cropped Tee in Black, Size 3x— Retail Value $24.95

I haven't been able to select many plus-size clothing options from ShoeDazzle due to their limited selections. However, I did find this top this month. It is a pretty basic, staple piece; I know I will get a ton of wear from. The fabric is ultra-soft and has stretch. I love that it is cropped, but rather roomy too! My styling is not terribly exciting-- just sweat pants and sneakers both from upcoming Fabletics reviews. I am seeking out more comfortable lounge wear since I am at home 90% of the time these days, so this top truly was the ticket. This would look equally fantastic with a mini skirt, tights, ankle boots, and a faux fur coat or casual jeans and sneakers. The options are endless with a top like this one!

Verdict:

This month was a nice palate cleanser of items to review from ShoeDazzle. The plus-size options are still not great, but holy smokes do I love these shoes! I am envisioning all the ways to style them: paired with skinny legs and a band t-shirt or with an over sized sweater, skirt, and tights-- all looks will be winning! This doesn't mean I am leaving ShoeDazzle off the hook. 2022 is right around the corner, so as much as I love their killer sales and points program, I truly hope they focus more energy on their plus-size options. They need to ensure the sizes in their range have a variety of selections and then work forward to offering sizes 5x and 6x to truly be inclusive.  I am truly pleased as punch with the shoes I received this month, but I sure hope that ShoeDazzle works on what they offer their plus-size customers. We deserve all the adorable pieces our straight size friends have-- people of all sizes deserve great clothing! Are you eager to see what I get from ShoeDazzle next month? Fingers crossed we get some phenomenal pieces!

Elaine would definitely deem those shoes as spongeworthy 😂
