BomiBox is a monthly Korean beauty subscription box. Each month you get eight full-size and deluxe sample-size Korean skincare, makeup, beauty, and body products.

This is a review of BomiBox Luxe which is $39.00 per month.

This box was sent to us at no cost to review. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)

First Impressions

This box doesn't come with an info sheet, but it does have a card with a QR code you can scan. The contents of the box are snuggly packaged inside- and it is always nice to see full-size products once you tear the tissue paper away.

BomiBox Holiday Bliss Box #11 Review

TIAM Vita B3 Source Mist Toner, 200 mL - Retail Value $18

yellow and white box next to clear bottle of mist with yellow accents

This toner actually just launched in October- I love that Bomibox included it for us. The ingredient list includes 3% niacinamide (vitamin B3), tranexamic acid, and vitamin C to help brighten your skin, but I also found this to be hydrating too. The mist itself was great; it felt like I was being sprayed with a cloud rather than with a squirt gun, and that’s an important factor for me.

Petifee Collagen & CoQ10 Hydrogel Eye Patches, 30 ct - Retail Value $17

Look, I will never look a full-size jar of eye gels (gift horse) in the mouth. I can't actually recall the last time a subscription box sent me a jar of these either (they're usually the single-use packs), so points to Bomibox for that. These hydrogel eye masks by Petitfee are infused with collagen, CoQ10, and green tea extract to smooth the delicate skin around your eyes. The thick gel material provides a gentle cooling sensation that I love, but these did slide a little on my face when I was standing so they are best for wearing when you'll be laying down.

AXIS-Y Mini Glow Kit - Retail Value $7

I love when Bomibox sends us mini kits like these because 1. they're adorable, 2. they're great for traveling (even if I'm not doing much of that these days), and 3. they're great for trying out a brand. Plus, this set has stickers. The set features a micellar water, an exfoliating toner, a hydrating ampoule, and a dark spot correcting serum. I didn't love the strong alcohol smell of the exfoliating toner, but the other three products were gentle and performed well for me.

Innisfree Blueberry Rebalancing Cleanser, 100 mL - Retail Value $5.90

white tube with blue lettering on white background

I really like the Innisfree brand, and while their Blueberry line isn't new to me this cleanser was. This is a gentle foaming cleanser made with blueberry extract, allantoin, and lavender oil. It's designed to balance your skin, but I didn't find it to be stripping or drying on my dry skin.

HaruHaru Wonder Black Rice Hyaluronic Toner, 13 mL - Estimated Value $ 1.91 (buy the 150 mL version for $22)

clear bottle of toner with white lid

Hello, small cute bottle of toner. This is a lightweight, hydrating toner made with rice extract, ginseng, and hyaluronic acid. I liked using this after a hot shower since hot water can dry your skin out, but since this bottle is small, it was empty after a few uses.

Cosrx Cica Pure Fit Cleanser, 50 mL - Retail Value $12.59

white plastic tube with black lettering on white background

I don't know why we received two full-size cleansers in this box; sometimes Bomibox will just do things like that. Cosrx is another K-Beauty brand I really like, and I actually like this cleanser even more than the Innisfree one. It's a creamy cleanser that isn't too thick and foams up once water is added, and it's incredibly gentle on my skin.
Lovely and gentle

Barulab Peptide Mask - Retail Value $2.20

purple to pink ombre sheet mask

I like these Barulab masks because the material the masks are made with are soft and stretch easily across my face. This mask in particular had a thicker essence (and plenty of it), and its formulated with vegetable protein (this is a vegan mask), ginger, licorice root, green tea. This was hydrating to my skin and didn't leave a sticky residue behind, and I really liked that I could wear this mask longer than the listed 15-20 minutes.

Barulab Vitamin C Mask - Retail Value $2.20

yellow ombre sheet mask

This mask is incredibly similar to the peptide mask, only with a few minor changes to the ingredients list. I enjoyed this mask just as much, and I appreciate that the material of the mask stretched enough to allow me to snack on a brownie while the niacinamide and vitamin C worked to brighten my skin.

Value – Was This Box Worth It?

The Cost: $39

Value Breakdown:

  • Ti'am: $18 → $10.51
  • Petitfee: $17 → $9.93
  • AXIS-Y: $7 → $4.09
  • Innisfree: $5.90 → $3.44
  • HaruHaru: $1.91 → $1.12
  • Cosrx: $12.59 → $7.35
  • Barulab Peptide: $2.20 → $1.28
  • Barulab Vitamin C: $2.20 → $1.28

Everything in the box adds up to $66.80, which brings a 48% savings when you factor the $39 box price.

Key Takeaways

If you're looking for a monthly beauty box comprised exclusively of K-Beauty products, Bomibox is one of the best out there. I really enjoyed this month's box, and I think it was actually one of the best boxes of 2021 for the brand. I think this box is a good example of why values, especially for a K-Beauty Box, can be a bit arbitrary and aren't always the best way to judge a box if that's the only criteria you use. Last month's box had a value of $134.85 while this month added up to $66.80. $66.80 is a bit low for what I have come to expect for this box, but I much prefer this month's box over last months due to the fact it contains multiple brands I recognize, new releases, and unique full-size products. Sure, maybe we didn't need two cleansers in one box (especially when we recieved a different cleanser last month)- but at least both cleansers were awesome. Considering that most of the products sent in this subscription box would have to be purchased from a website overseas, I always take values with a grain of salt and go by the personal value a box offers to me when I make my verdict. This month, I'm giving two thumbs up.

The CosRx Cica Cleanser is one of my favorites. I love that whole line.

Thanks for sharing! Love reading your reviews for this box!! I am super-tempted to get this…Even though I technically don’t ‘need’ it. Lol. K-beauty is usually top-notch stuff. Fun packaging and ingredients as well!
