What Else to Know

  • On the product page, there seems to be an error in the photo: the photo shows Skinmedica's Lumivive system instead of the Exuviance cream, but the overview doesn't mention Skinmedica at all.

The Box: BeautyFIX

The Cost: $24.95

The Products: You can get anywhere between five and seven mini products every month.

Pathetic showing for thirty dollars, I just cancelled too bad I forgot to cancel at the end of December.

These spoilers make me really glad that I switched to the Allure Beauty Box a few months ago. Tiny samples you can get for free from an aesthetician, and a full-size of their generic product. Did they run out of dry shampoo?

They are selling product they do not have. I’ve been a subscriber for a while now and have had problems receiving the past three months including January. fraud alert. They are charging me at the beginning of the month with out sending me the boxes with promise that they may send me a box when they are back in stock. Which did not happen. Shame on DermStore.

What a joke! I was disappointed before and even more now with the changes they made. This is going to be my last box. I’m fine with small samples and packets but only if they were to give more products in the box like before . It’s really gone downhill

I was a big fan of Beauty Fix for ages. But not anymore. Teeny tiny sample sizes, “house” brands…it’s not worth it.

If you go to the Beauty Fix website they have changed the picture for this month. The Exuviance product is now missing and in it’s place are 2 tiny SkinMedica tube samples (the exact 2 that we have already received in a prior BeautyFix btw).

OMG! If you go to BeautyFix site now they have also replaced the full size Dermelect lip product in the big jar with a tiny tube of it. Just wow. 🙁

Omg!!! They are getting worse and worse. I was so excited for this. And it’s too late to skip or cancel. This is terrible. Idk if I want to keep this box anymore. House products as the full size and now this. Sad.

JuJu

Gosh, 2ml of this, 5ml of that – I am just glad I am not subscribed. 🙄

I know, it’s starting to look like recipe measurements 😆

Unreal. The house brand hyaluronic acid serum costs six times what The Ordinary charges for their hyaluronic acid serum, same amount. How does that even compute??????

Michelle

The Ordinary is dirt cheap. Their hyaluronic serum is awful and sticky. You get what you pay for.

It’s supposed to be sticky. You need to apply a moisturizer on top. I love The Ordinary!

Snow

It seems like a lot of their serums are kind of sticky 😝. I used to be a fan of the Ordinary, but for some reason I don’t get excited about using their products anymore. Maybe it’s the clinical look of their packaging or the dirt cheap prices? I’ll have to try to understand the psychology behind that one when I have more time. 😁

JuJu

It’s been a while since I used The Ordinary hyaluronic acid serum, since I’ve been using the Timeless brand serums for the past couple of years, but I really don’t remember it being awful. I got pretty much the entire skincare line from The Ordinary four years ago, and the only item I wasn’t happy with was the Marine Hyaluronics because it was stinky.

Nat

My best discovery from this box last year was Clarity down and dirty face scrub. I’ve used the whole thing and it made my face glow. Would love to try Clarity from this box, but it’s so tiny. The only other thing I am interested in is the lip product. I don’t want house brand and packets. Easy pass.

I wasn’t too excited at first. But now I am. I think these are all good products. I’m excited the lip product is full size. I hope not every month it’s their own product that is the other full sized item! But so far I’ve like their line.

Packets? 😜

Rosemary

Yup. That’s what I thought as well.
