First Impressions
My package arrived in typical purple bag fanfare.
And the two items I selected this month were individually wrapped.
Last month, I discovered that Adore Me has a few sub-lines. And this month I did a deeper dive! Seriously, there are some cool hidden gems on this site, you just have to check out the brand page where they have everything from a period panty line, athletic wear, cooling undergarments, maternity wear, and even a SKIMS sort of brand called Nueskin (which, spoiler alert, we will be taking a peek at next month).
This month though? Let's get way out of my comfort zone and talk period panties:
Amelia High Waisted Period Panty - Retail Value $35 ($25 for VIP Members)
I selected this style because I like high-waisted ANYTHING and it had a 3 out of 4 absorbancy rating. Sure, I have no clue if I need a 3, but a 4 felt excessive and anything less made me worry I would maybe drown. I have never worn this sort of panty and, to be frank, I am pretty unadventurous when it comes to menstruation aids/products. I have never tried a cup or anything other than a liner or tampon. The wildest I have been before are those absolutely amazing Honey Pot liners with the cooling herbs (which you absolutely need, FYI). I think if these panties weren't so cute, I honestly would have never added them to my cart.

As far as the construction and fit go, these are well made and fit true to size. I ordered an XL and the fit was comfortable, even in the leg holes which can be a problem for so many of us gifted with gloriously thick thighs. The outer fabric was kind of like an 85% Nylon, 15% Spandex meshy/microfiber hybrid, so if you are a 100% cotton person, this isn't it. The inside does feature a black cotton liner and inside of that is some sort of magical sandwich of fibers that control leakage without making you feel like you have a diaper on. I had to wait for a cycle to test these out, but, I am impressed! I had NO leakage (and my monthly isn't what I would classify as "light") and sleeping in these was actually a freaking dream compared to other options. I also feel the need to mention that these weren't at all gross to wash, as I had initially feared. I would rinse them out in the sink then immediately toss them in the washing machine. Easy, done!
My Verdict
Well, Adore Me has officially converted me to period panties. These were worth it if only just for sleeping purposes! Luckily, I found there wasn't a bad time to be wearing these. I mean, I even took them on a test-run to the gym, and I am one of those people who works out really, really hard for an hour. For over a week of wear, I experienced not a single leak. Not a drop. And the comfort factor is out of this world. I have washed both pairs numerous times now and they look as great as they did when I opened them. I actually plan on buying a few more so I don't have to run laundry for them so often next month, and luckily, there are tons of other prints and cuts to choose from.
