Petit Vour is a monthly vegan beauty subscription box. It’s a great box if you’re looking to try out new vegan and/or natural beauty products.

There are two subscription options to choose from. The base Petit Vour box is $18.00 per month and the Petit Vour Plus box is $25.00 per month.

This is a review of the $18.00 per month box.

This box was sent to us at no cost for review. (Check out our editorial guidelines to learn more about how we review boxes.)

First Impressions

When you open the box the first thing you find is the information sheet, which lists the products included, their values, and a quick blurb about what they do. After that, you can always expect to find four products safely nestled inside the box waiting for you to enjoy.

The Breakdown - What's Inside My October 2021 Petit Vour Box

KVoss Blushing Beauty Palette, 12 g - Retail Value $36

This is a gorgeous blush palette. I rarely use blushes, but this one is so pretty I just feel drawn to using it. The three shades vary from rose pink, peach, and coral, and two of the three shades have a soft shimmer that helps to create a luminous glow (not a glittery one). They blended out really easily, and I enjoyed the smooth texture. I really love that this blush palette retails for double the cost of the entire subscription box, too.

Here are the swatches.

Bybi Beauty Bukuchiol Booster, 1 mL - Listed Value $1 (buy the 15 mL version for $9.99)

This sample is definitely on the smaller end, but I’ve actually used it before. Bakuchiol is a retinol alternative that has been shown to help with the appearance of wrinkles, and in my personal experience, I’ve actually found it to be hydrating instead of drying. This booster is designed to be added to another product to ~boost~ your skincare benefits, but if you want to use this on its own I won’t tell. This is made with only two ingredients- Bakuchiol and squalane oil, so as you can imagine this has an oily texture. This isn’t my favorite sample I’ve ever received in my Petit Vour subscription, but it’s a solid performer from a brand I like.

Three Ships Buttercream Hydrating Lip Mask, 0.5 oz - Retail Value $18

I enjoy trying lip masks- I have multiple ones I already love, but I still always want to try more. This one starts off really thick, but a little bit of body heat from my fingers and lips melted this right away. As promised, this was a hydrating lip mask that also left my lips with a soft shine

F.E.T.E. Konjac Sponge, 14 g - Retail Value $14

Konjac sponges are one of those items I don’t purchase for myself, but I’m always happy when I receive one in a subscription box. Straight out of the package this natural sponge is brittle and hard, but a few seconds in water turns it soft and squishy. It gives your skin a very gentle exfoliation, and I really like how this worked to exfoliate my skin while helping me to wash away a face mask I was wearing.

Value - Was This Box Worth It?

The Cost: $18

Cost Breakdown:

  • KVoss: $36 → $9.39
  • Three Ships: $18 → $4.69
  • Bybi: $1 → $0.26
  • F.E.T.E: $14 → $3.65

Everything in the box adds up to $69, which is a solid value for an $18 box that sends exclusively vegan beauty products. Alternatively, each of the 4 items has an average cost of $4.50.

Key Takeaways

I really liked this month from Petit Vour- three of the four items were full-sized, and I was really pleased with the performance of the Konjac sponge, lip mask, and blush palette. The Bybi Beauty Bakuchiol Booster wasn’t a bad product, but the small sample size did take away from the overall experience. Luckily, the other three products in the box overperformed, which is why I’m so pleased with this box.  If you try to focus on vegan beauty products (or have a friend who does), this is definitely a box you want to check out.

Do you think that the Petit Vour Plus version might be reviewed at some point? I don’t think that it’s the same as this one, plus an additional item. I think it might be a selection from past boxes; but maybe not. Maybe it’s items from their store.
