First Impressions

I was really impressed that many of this month's items came in Goddess Provisions brand packaging, so if you're looking for an awesome housewarming or even Christmas present, everything here is ready to gift.

The box comes with a short but informative booklet that outlines all of the items inside and discloses the theme. This month's theme is "Moon Goddess".

What's Inside This Box

Lunar & Solar Ceramic Mug - Listed Value $22.00

Nothing says cozy better than a new mug, and since cozy is my middle name, I absolutely love buying and receiving them in subscriptions. My cabinet is a hodgepodge from tiny espresso mugs to giant tea mugs, and this one leans small, safely fitting about 6oz of beverage inside its glossy black walls. It is sleek and petite and will be perfect for midnight mint tea, which has been a ritual of mine for the last couple weeks. I love the black and gold sun and moon motif, and I think it could also make a wonderful housewarming or host gift for anyone.

Crescent Moon Rainbow Maker - Listed Value $22.00

I love when subscription boxes correlate with my wish lists; I've been looking for suncatcher crystals for quite some time, with a few still hanging out in my cart. This wooden moon and purple crystal is way more fun than anything I've found. It casts a lovely rainbow here and there on the wall when direct sunlight passes through it which could help make this winter a little more colorful. The moon measures 5 inches long; it is a little bigger than what I had planned, but I think it will look great in my living room window.

2022 Lunar Calendar - Listed Value $25.00

This cloth lunar calendar will be a stylish way to keep track of next year's moon cycles. You can easily hang this with a rod and cord in your office space or close to your altar for easy moon cycle reference. If you're like me, you may have a tendency to forget to set your intentions during the new moon, so this may make it a little easier to remember. This measures 13"x8.5" so it will take up less space than your standard calendar.

Crystal Dreams Pillowcase - Listed Value $22.00

I feel like this pillowcase is fit for a princess, with its girly pink sheen and celestial embroidery. It was a little stiff coming out of its packaging, but after a cold wash and hang-dry, it is nice and soft and ready for bedtime. This isn't your average pillowcase; it is made with a nice little pocket inside to house your favorite crystal or whatever else you may like to store there. Although it has a satiny feel, its material is 100% recycled polyester; sleeping on this pillowcase can have skin and hair benefits due to less friction while you sleep, just like sleeping on satin or silk.

New Moon Roll-On - Listed Value $20.00

New Moon should be worn to help welcome fresh starts and renewal. It is a lovely blend of lavender, chamomile, lemongrass, and peppermint and will do its best to help your self-awareness and improve courage. I love putting this on my inner elbow so I can smell it all day and have an aromatherapy moment amongst the chaos of daily life, but it is recommended to be worn 'where energy draws from' on places like your ankles and wrists.

Moon Phases Oracle Pack - Listed Value $8.00

This month's Goddess Provisions included their limited edition Moon Phases Pack. Draw a card using your intuition and said card's moon phase should help to guide you through whatever your situation may be. I pulled the first quarter moon card which happens to be tonight's moon phase! Fingers crossed I get to catch up on a little sleep and clean up my house for some inner peace.

Raw Strawberry Quartz - Listed Value $8.00

Aside from being a looker, raw strawberry quartz is a healing stone that also encourages feelings of peace, appreciation, and love. It has all of the properties of its sister, rose quartz, but it also has soothing and calming benefits. This is a perfect crystal to help prepare me for the end of the year holiday frenzy!

Verdict

Goddess Provisions sent out an absolutely delightful box this month. This is only my second box, but I was really impressed by the home goods and self-care products I received. I especially love the rainbow-making crystal & moon and the mug is a great addition to my collection. This month's box has a value of $127; that is an awesome value for a $33 box.

Wow what a disappointment the “mug” is only 6 ounces! I don’t think that would put it in the mug category! It wouldn’t have to be large but like Snow said this is espresso size. I just ordered this box mainly for the mug and was really looking forward to it! I’m sure they are going to get lots of complaints!

I have a lot of respect for this subscription but here are my thoughts:
1. The GP branding I’m not a fan of. While I can’t attest to the quality of the items, I feel like it cheapens the quality versus something that was bought from a small business.
2. Unless it’s espresso, 6 ozs is like one gulp to me 😊 I do like the mug even though it’s GP branding.
3. A pillowcase with a pocket for a crystal (aka a potentially sharp object), seems a bit odd?! Be careful during pillow fights at the very least 😆
4. The pillowcase color reminds me of cotton candy or yes, something that belongs in a princess bedroom. A lovely purple would have been fantastic 💜
5. Love the strawberry quartz 🍓 but miss seeing a snack 😋

Thanks Abby for the review! Hopefully you will get that extra rest you’ve been wanting ☺️

I agree with pretty much everything Snow said. I thought the same thing – who puts a potentially sharp object in a pillowcase? And I also would have liked to have a snack. On the one hand this is a lovely box, but on the other hand, none of it is really, dare I say it, my cup of tea. I’ll probably cancel after January. I always like to get December sub boxes in case there is anything special for Christmas, and January sub boxes often include planners or other items to help you start your year off right. This used to be one of my favorite boxes, but, like Snow said, it is different now that so many of the products are GP branded.
