First Impressions

My typical white box arrives beautifully packaged.

Included were helpful cards and a booklet with loads of details about the products this month from KHUS+KHUS.

The Products

Khus+Khus LEMON Body Potion, 6.7 oz - Retail Value $88

A giant luxe tub of body cream always feels especially perfect for this time of year! This one is a gorgeous yellow and smells like lemons and cream. It is very heavyweight and does leave a shine behind, so this (for me) is a nighttime choice. I like to apply a nice thick layer on my feet and legs then slip on some heavy socks and sweatpants and let the cream go to work while I sleep! The big players inside are moisturizing moringa butter, rose, and sea buckthorn oil. Sure, this is a very expensive body treat that I would never splurge on at full retail, but getting it in a box like this feels special and luxe!

KHUS+KHUS D DROP Humectant Factor, 1 fl oz- Retail Value $38

I didn't love this stuff. I really didn't notice a difference in how my skin felt and I also don't love minty formulas. A humectant is a moisturizing ingredient that helps skin retain moisture, and while this does have watermelon ferment (rich in vitamin A) I am just not sure why I would favor this over any other moisturizer. I think if you love super lightweight serums and a gentle peppermint tingle, you might appreciate this a little more than I do.

Verdict

Beauty Heroes is one of my favorite beauty subscriptions, but this one doesn't make it into my favorite of their deliveries. I did love the lemon body cream but I was unimpressed by the serum. This is a subscription that very rarely misses, so I am not going to take it personally. I will rehome the serum with someone who loves a little minty flavor and continue to use the super-luxe body butter all winter long!

I love natural/vegan beauty products, Korean skincare, unique jewelry, and weird candies from far away places. When I am not waiting for my next exciting box you can find me painting or taking photographs of interesting people. I never leave home without pug hair somewhere on my shirt and a bold lipstick on my smile.

I felt the exact same way about both of these products. I was very hesitant about the lemon scent, but someone here described it as “lemon sorbet” and I think that is the perfect description. It did take a while to soak in, so like you I only use it at night. The d Drop was pretty much the most lack-luster product from Khus+Khus I’ve tried to date. I noticed no improvement at all and my skin is always dry, so there was definitely the opportunity for it to wow me. Still like the brand and am excited for next month!
