Book of the Month Names 2021 Book of the Year Finalists
The Book of the Month Club has named the five finalists for 2021 Book of the Year. “Five amazing books earned a spot in our members’ hearts, but only one will take home the prize” says the club. “Stay tuned for the announcement on November 11th.”
The finalists are Malibu Rising by Taylor Jenkins Reid, People We Meet on Vacation by Emily Henry, Razorblade Tears by S.A. Cosby, The Four Winds by Kristin Hannah and The Lost Apothecary by Sarah Penner. The book of the year winner, chosen by readers, will win the Golden Lolly, named after Lolly Willowes by Sylvia Townsend Warner, the first Book of the Month winner in 1926.
“The Book of the Month Editorial Team strives to discover unorthodox themes, debut and emerging authors, and books that leave a lasting impression on readers,” says the club. Last year’s winner was The Vanishing Half by Brit Bennett.
