September 2021: “Peace Out”

Along with my beauty items, I received an info card that details what items are in the box. Our theme this month is “Peace Out” and can we please just have a moment of silence for the end of summer? Ugh, I can’t believe we have to say goodbye already. I’m expecting good things out of both the new fall season and this month’s beauty box though 🙂

Beauty Host Rose Moisturizing Mask, 30 ml – Listed Value $5.00

We are heading into Fall which will bring colder months, and thus, dryer skin.  This moisturizing mask is a great way to keep that skin dewy and glowing. I love the fact that it has rose extract which is a great source of vitamin C. I left my mask on for a little longer than suggested (about 25-30 mins) and that’s honestly because I dozed off without even knowing I did! The floral, sweet smell of the mask was such a delight to fall asleep to. My skin felt nice and soft after rinsing the remaining serum of the mask off my face.

Medusa’s Baked Eyeshadow (Brunch) –  Retail Value $14.00

I really enjoy Medusa’s Make-Up’s baked eyeshadows. I was kind of bummed however that I received this metallic gold color. I have so many gold shadows, and these baked shadows come in so many other fun colors. Maybe next time I’ll get to indulge in a cool, funky color. Though a common color in my beauty bag, it nonetheless is a very pretty gold that can be used as an eyeshadow or highlighter.

Gold is my general go-to for shadows, so I’ll go ahead and throw this into the rotation 🙂

Medusa’s Mystical Eye Dust (Psykhe) – Retail Value $11.95

When I talk about fun, funky colors, this is what I am talking about! This mystical eye dust lives up to the name. I’m pretty sure this color is influenced by unicorns and I am here for it. I love the bronze/purple fall tone and I’m ready to search for a cute eye makeup tutorial so I can do this shadow some justice.

I can’t get over how much I love this shade. So sultry without doing much. I legit just used my finger to apply and the glam came through!

Love Byrd Lip Balm (Smooch), 8 g– Retail Value $8.00

Let’s keep our lips protected as these temperatures drop, and look cute doing it!  This tinted lip balm is in a rosy pink color and smells like a sweet raspberry tart.

I applied the tinted balm to my lips and my cheeks to give them a subtle glow. My lips were incredibly moisturized, but I can’t really tell that there’s a tint to my lips. I did notice and appreciate the slight glow to my cheeks though.

Seraphine Botanicals Rose & Coconut Water Facial Mist, 10 ml – $24.00

We’ve come to our last item, which is another great way to keep your skin moisturized and refreshed with the upcoming season change. This rose and coconut water hydrating facial mist combines witch hazel, aloe vera juice, and grapefruit extracts to exfoliate and leave skin feeling hydrated and nourished. The spray is such a welcomed wake-up call for tired and dry skin. I truly enjoy the smell of fresh rose and coconut.

Verdict

I’m not even going to lie to you. I’m bummed about this season change. While I do enjoy fall, summer will forever be my favorite season. However, this month’s box has made this season transition a little easier knowing that I’m equipped with beauty and skin items that are trendy and protective. I am in complete awe of the mystical eye dust color. I’ve never had a shadow pigment quite like it before and it makes my eyes pop! Can’t wait to come up with a cute cat eye makeup look incorporating this shadow.
