Now, on to the items!

Wishful Honey Balm Niacinamide Moisturizer, 1.94 oz - Retail Value $43

Wishful is the skincare line from Huda Beauty and I have been wanting to try something from this newer line. This balm was a great choice for me because I have drier skin, though I worry oilier skin types might not have such a great experience. This is mainly due to the fact that this is a heavier balm and it does leave behind a little bit of a glossy film that not everyone is going to love. If you give it about 10 minutes though, this fades and leaves behind a lovely glowing surface that leaves me hydrated all day. It is also a wonderful balm to apply before bed in a thicker layer to seal in moisture while you sleep. In terms of ingredients, there are many to fall in love with here: niacinamide, honey, ceramides, and loads of antioxidants from turmeric, watermelon, and radish. It does have a stronger lavender scent that I was pretty into, but if you aren't a lavender fan, beware. I am pretty impressed with this stuff and pleased that the ingredients were so thoughtful.

Vesca Beauty Stargaze Luminous Glow Highlighting Powder in 'Wish', 6 g - Retail Value $28

This is a new brand to me and I have to admit that this little compact felt super small for the price and the product type. I did love the glistening champagne highlight that it creates and the whole vibe of the brand is very pretty. The swatch below is rather heavy, but with a lighter application, it does create the perfect glowing touch.

It is a good champagne.

Bumble and bumble Surf Styling Leave In, 5 oz - Retail Value $30.00

Most of you know by now that I am very much an OUAI girl and I primarily use that brand for my (super minimal) hair styling. I do occasionally use a leave-in but it is a lighter cream spray rather than a gel. I wasn't sure how this would really work for me, but B&B was once my favorite hair care brand and I still have fond feelings for this beachy-inspired label. In typical fashion, I ignored the directions, mainly because my hair was already dry when I first tried this gel. I used a small amount and finger-combed it into my hair and absolutely love how lightweight it was and how it added a sleek gloss to my hair without weight. It gave my frizzy hair an immediately more polished vibe. I also tried it on damp hair which was also nice, but I have to say that I love it on dry hair even more. This stuff is totally worth experimenting with and it leaves your hair smelling really great.

Luxe and Willow Phoenix Rose Quartz Massager - Retail Value $79.99

So a lot of people have a lot of feelings about gadgets like this and they aren't for everyone. My personal theory is that stimulating the skin with massage and, yes, even vibration, is a good thing. First, it just feels good. And, honestly, that is reason enough for me. But it also helps products absorb better (even cleansers!) and boosts circulation (though temporarily). This tool features a chilly rose quartz head that also adds a cooling effect that feels great. I like to use this on top of my favorite night serum or cream just to zone out and relax. The price tag seems a bit wild to me, but these tend to be pricy depending on the brand.

Zoeva Powerful Lip Twist in 'Cassandra', 0.7 g - Retail Value $14

For some reason, I have been getting these dark brown shades that aren't super flattering on me lately. I know it's almost fall, and I do love a dark lip, but I can't quite pull off shades like this. I think she speaks for itself so I will focus more on the formula here. It is super smooth and almost balmy, with great satin coverage. The formula has moisturizing raspberry seed oil too, so it conditions nicely. My other observation is that this feels really thin and short for a full coverage lip product, so I feel like it might not last all that long.

It isn't the worst brown I have ever tried, but this one isn't for me.

La Ruce Facial Disks - Retail Value $24

While I enjoy reusable face disks, this feels a little bit like filler in the "premium" assortment from Boxycharm. Still, though, I will use these. My collection has become pretty large, and I have enough to wash and then use for a long time before having to wash again.

Verdict

This BoxyCharm Premium had enough inside to make me satisfied with this box, though there were a couple of 'meh' moments. The highlights for me were easily the Wishful balm and the B&B leave-in. The balm alone has a retail cost of more than the box, so I felt like I had a great value on my hands right out of the gate. The Vesca highlighter was a nice way to try a new brand and I tend to like gadgets like the massager. I was less in love with the Zoeva lip color due to, well, the actual color, and the disks were *yawn*. Either way, this box had a total value of over $218, so I am pleased!

I love natural/vegan beauty products, Korean skincare, unique jewelry, and weird candies from far away places. When I am not waiting for my next exciting box you can find me painting or taking photographs of interesting people. I never leave home without pug hair somewhere on my shirt and a bold lipstick on my smile.

Boxy replaced my Ipsy sub and now I dont even want either!

So many repeats on the type of items and I always get stuff I dont want and would never use. I wish I could pick my entire box. Sometimes its the lower value items I want but dont get as a choice nor does Boxy select for me. Such a waste of money & product, And im over the inflated RV on the random brands! I’d prefer an $18 fenty lip liner over an $80 face massager!

I think the Vesca product is the one I would be most excited about. Have they been in a box before? I’ve only seen them on Instagram

I can’t get the battery in and out of the tool. Anyone else able to try it?

I would use the Bumble and Bumble. The lips, disks and massager would go straight in the trash. The highlighter and lavender loaded moisturizer would go in the donate box. And I would cancel immediately. Premium was my favorite subscription until recently. I’m hoping for a different variation. I need a second item I can use to save this box.
