My typical white box arrives with a helpful info booklet inside: This is always a great source of info on each item inside as well as a place to find suggested routines!
The Products: Ingredients®
Before we jump in, it is worth noting what is especially, well, notable about this brand: They include the ingredient list but they also break the ingredients down into their percentages. This is really pretty unusual in the beauty sphere and also really helpful to all of us ingredient nerds out there. Sure, we know that ingredient lists are ordered from highest content to lowest, but this brand has really gone above and beyond and given us exact percentages. I think that is both really transparent and incredibly cool!
Ingredients® Body Oil, 3.2 fl oz - Retail Value $42.00
I go through a lot of body oil. This is mostly because I am someone who doesn't really use lotion often because it gives me red bumps on my calves. Why? No clue. But oil doesn't ever seem to trigger that sort of reaction and still nourishes my skin. This oil feels luxurious and smells great thanks to the orange, vanilla, lavender, and rosemary essential oils. The majority of this blend is lipid-rich jojoba oil combined with Boabab and Copaiba oils. It has a soft warming effect as you massage it onto your skin and leaves a velvet finish behind with little residue. I loved this stuff, especially right before bed!
Ingredients® Face Serum, 1.3 fl oz - Retail Value $48.00
I am just giddy over these actual percentages. The majority of this serum is made of rose hydrosol which is basically the liquid created when petals are distilled. It smells great and softens skin beautifully. Next, lactobacillus ferment. I love this ingredient because I have found that it is ideal for skin that is either sensitized or likes to pretend it is by flushing easily for no apparent reason. It is a soothing ingredient that is also anti-microbial and anti-inflammatory and can even help with acne. Add in some collagen, antioxidants, some mushroom extracts, and aloe, and you have a beautifully formulated and well-rounded serum that absorbs with ease and feels weightless.
Ingredients® Plant Water Mist, 100 mL - Retail Value $38.00
I need to start a website called MyMistAddiction because I am obsessive when it comes to my daily spritzes. It feels like a little skin treat and refreshes my face (especially after the gym when I can't get to the shower ASAP!) while calming and hydrating my skin. This is another delightfully simple formula with hydrosols of roses, neroli (orange blossom), and lavender. And, yes. It smells incredible.
Beauty Heroes is one of my favorite subs for discovering new brands that I quickly fall in love with. And I love what this brand stands for! The beauty industry has come a long way in terms of transparency, but more can always be done. All three of the products sent this month had ingredient lists that made me very happy and they all performed beautifully on my skin. I hope to see more from them in the future for sure! What more can I ask for?
