You've probably heard of alcoholic subscription boxes before, but have you ever had a bourbon whiskey box shipped to you straight from one of the best known distillers in America? Jim Beam makes a Kentucky bourbon whiskey that's one of the nation's best sellers, and now the company is moving into the subscription box business.
You know we just had to pour over the details!
Barreled & Boxed launches this month from Jim Beam headquarters as the pandemic has driven demand for the brand's bourbon whiskey sky high (the brand has filled a milestone 1 million barrels since COVID-19 lockdowns began in March 2020). Set to deliver the boxes quarterly, the brand will include at least two bottles in every box, along with other special items for fans.
What's in the Box:
- 2 limited editions of the brand's celebrated small batch whiskeys
- A behind the barrel look at your whiskeys — making-of stories, straight from the distillers.
- Access to a live virtual tasting event with Beam family distiller Freddie Noe.
- VIP access for subscribers and a guest to the brand's renovated distillery in Clermont, KY* with a complimentary tour and invitations to member only events
The Fall 2021 Barreled & Boxed box will include Jim Beam’s Little Book Whiskey Series, including the recently launched Little Book Chapter 5 and a rebottling of its 2017 release, Little Book Chapter 1. The Winter 2021 box will include two as-yet unnamed "rare finds" that will arrive "just in time for the holidays."
The Price: The first box is $270 + tax (based on where you live).
Ships to: For now only drinkers in Kentucky and Washington D.C. will be able to subscribe, but Beam is asking interested individuals to sign up for their mailing list to be notified of when the subscriptions are available in their neck of the woods.
Take a sip of our favorite alcohol subscription boxes (if you're 21 or older, of course), and let us know what you think of the new box from Jim Beam!
