Beauty Heroes June 2021 Review feat. Blüh Alchemy
Blüh Alchemy Nocturnal Repair Active Emulsion, 1.5 fl oz – Retail Value $85.00
I recently went through a series of chemical peels and my skin was really craving a treat, especially at night when it was feeling tighter. This stuff felt like a rescue cream! It is a heavier sort of feel and reminded me a lot of what I would want in a sleep mask. If you have oilier skin, I think this might feel like, well, a lot. But if you are a dry babe, time to celebrate. It has a scent that I really like, though I wouldn’t describe it as being a real selling point here. It is earthy, warm, and kind of nutty. Inside this golden goo is a blend of aloe, strawberry seed oil, tea seed oil, rice bran, niacinamide, honey, and loads more. They all come together to create one of the more nourishing formulas I have tried so far this year.
Blüh Alchemy Antioxidant Face Oil, 1 fl oz- Retail Value $95.00
Most of you know I am a face oil addict. And this brand does oils really, really well! This golden tonic has a slightly spicy, warm scent that I found comforting and a little sexy. Again, this is a dry skin dream, though if you aren’t dry, don’t let me discourage you from using it. I like to apply a few drops into my palms, rub them together, and pat it directly onto my face. If you want a little less oil action though, try a drop of this in your fave lighter-weight cream. As is typical with this brand, the goodies inside form a long, long list. Here are a few that I especially love: jojoba oil, green tea seed oil, plum seed oil, and sea buckthorn oil. All of these leave my skin glowing, calm, and with a big antioxidant boost.
Verdict: Beauty Heroes is always one of my favorite deliveries and I have loved this particular brand for quite some time. Add that it arrived filled with products that I felt were totally geared towards my dry and dull skin. Magic. The value was great: $180 for an under $60 box. If you are into smaller indie brands with stellar ingredients, this is a great subscription for you to try.
